Stayed here a few times on business over the last month and both have been pleasant stays. Bar area is ok. Little atmosphere but it's a standard hotel bar. Food in the evening is what u would expect.... not great but ok. I ate in the bar one evening and it took so long to arrive that when I went to the bar to order another drink the barman gave it me 'on the house' due to the wait. Great service. Breakfast is good but the Nutella muffins are to die for. ...!!!

OK so this hotel is average in many ways - the rooms, the long walk to your (my) room, the closed gym, the drab decor and location near a freeway. In total contrast is the breakfast in the restaurant down stairs - it was pretty good! There were plenty of hot dishes (even for a vegetarian like me), fruit and bakery items. The staff looked after us well too. Other things worth noting: If it's a nice day, be sure to explore Aldenham on the other side of the M1, and find the gorgeous walk through t... Read more

Stayed here twice in short succession with work! The hotel pictures are definitely photoshopped online because it looks old dirty and dated on the outside in comparison! The reception area is lively and clean and the staff are friendly! Getting to the rooms feels like a half marathon after a 12 hour shift and carrying luggage! Rooms are significantly better in other high street hotel chains! But the breakfast is one of the best I've ever had! So much to choose from! But is £15 for a breakfas... Read more

We have stayed at Hilton Watford hotel a few time as a "one night stay" because its service has been always excellent. We have always found the rooms very clean and cosy, as well as toilets and bed sheets. We believe cleanliness is crucial when you stay in a hotel. Receptionist have always been really welcoming and straight forward which it makes the check in really smooth and comfortable. We will always book double rooms at Hilton Watford if they are available on the dates we want to go!!

Perfectly acceptable but nothing memorable. (apart from the lovely lady who welcomes you to breakfast - reminds me of being in the Caribbean!) Bar feels like a working men's club; there is no pool which other sites said there was but this was closed over a year ago. Rooms clean but no fridge or mini bar. It is fine - I stayed for two nights on business. My issue I guess is that in my head 'Hilton' stands for so much more; and it really is just another hotel with nothing special to report home ab... This is a fairly average business hotel which i managed to get at a reasonable rate on a bank holiday so i could watch my team at Wembley. Getting to Wembley was a £9 Uber to Watford Underground Station and then a 30 minute journey on the tube. Certainly not the most convenient but it worked for me. The rooms do look a little bit dated and my recent stays have been in rooms without air conditioning which could really be a problem as the summer approaches. Stayed for 1 night for a work do. The staff are very nice and service is excellent. However, it is very run down. My room was very tired looking, cracked tiles in bathroom, a damp smell, lights not working and surprisingly found a pair of tights and ladies underwear in the wardrobe. The rest of the hotel needs a refurb. It just does not come across as being a Hilton or special yet charges over 100 a night. Breakfast was nice. The Hilton Watford provides a great value for a hotel near London. The location is conveniently located near two underground stations and is very close to Warner Brothers studios for Harry Potter Fans. The hotel supplies table fans which definitely help. The breakfast was great and the staff there is very helpful and friendl... Read more

The hotel is nice enough, and has the usual quality of service you would expect from a Hilton. However it doesn't feel particularly like a lot of Hilton hotels do, and seemed to be lacking anything to really justify the price point other than the name of the hotel. It is an old building (or seems like it) and is getting tired. The layour also meant my room was a long way from the nearest lift.

This would be an OK hotel if it were a Best Western or Motel 6 but it is not up to Hilton standards and calling it a Hilton diminishes the brand. The hotel is old and need of updating. Many rooms don't have air conditioning and we found out the hard way you have to specifically request a room with AC. Yes, even in England it can get hot. We only stay in a hotel about once a year, so it is a treat for us. I booked this Hotel because it was near harry Potter World and because I thought it had a pool! It turns out the pictures I'd seen were two years out of date! Probably my fault for not double checking, but still very disappointing for my children. I stay here at least once every fortnight and I really like it. Although the hotel itself does feel dates in parts, the rooms are pretty comfy and the beds especially nice. One word of advice j would offer though is to get a "King Deluxe" room at the very least. The TV in the standard King rooms is pretty poor so can be hard to watch and the rooms just generally feel a bit more dated. The breakfast is fantastic. Check in was fine, but later a staff member was rude when we asked for some clarification of directions. Breakfast was the best part of the stay as the room was shabby with a stained carpet and a holey bathroom door - not what I would expect to see in a Hilton Hotel.
