A beautiful location, stunning scenery, combined with extremely comfortable accommodation! This hotel and spa was the perfect holiday destination! The restaurant food was lovely, nothing was too much trouble, and in particular, Melina the restaurant manager was one of the nicest people I have met. Chris the hotel manager made my stay special it being my big birthday celebration.A lovely swimming pool and spa area made my stay perfect!

Lovely surroundings and the double room I had in the new annex was nice. However the restaurant lets this place down. I asked for a simple alteration to the menu and this caused utter confusion - no chips but veg - that was it. Three times I had to send the meal back. The steak was £10 extra to set price - it's nothing special - mine was poorly cooked and chewy. Portions were small and lunch wasn't upto much or anything special. Cooked Breakfast was swimming in grease and cold. Staff in the res... Read more

I should have realised this would not be an enjoyable stay once we clipped the gate posts in the very narrow entrance at the rear of the hotel knocking off the passenger mirror. The clerk at reception had no word of sympathy - "I sail through them - what's your problem?" On getting to reception I remembered we had stayed here many years ago, but the picture on the website doesn't match where you actually stay. There is a very beautiful hotel building overlooking the lake and wonderful grounds,... Read more

We didn't spend masses of time at the hotel as we were only there for one night and spent a lot of time at a wedding reception at Compton Verney. We found the room comfortable and clean and spent a very pleasant couple of hours in the walled garden in the sun with a bottle of prosecco. We took a walk around the picturesque lake and gardens. We came upon the rib cage and hind quarters of a predated large mammal - could have been the remains of a deer - on the lawn beyond the lake. Funny that. We... Read more

Hotel We arrived at this hotel after following some awful country lanes, not great but not much can be done about that. The reception area was huge and staff at the desk were great, check in was no problem but the walk around to the room in a separate building was a bit of pain. The grounds we walked past though were loved and well looked after. Room The room was large, so we were very happy. Big TV and mod cons as expected including tea making facilities so my wife was happy after a brew. Th... Read more

Situated in beautiful grounds, Walton Hall is very beautiful. Friendly staff and very relaxing. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. We spoke to people staying that visit regularly and they absolutely love coming back.

We stayed in Room 35, which was very nice. Dinner in the big restaurant is a mixture. Good food and good service but its like eating in a big canteen - it lacks intimacy and atmosphere. Breakfast in the old Hall restaurant was exceptional. Grounds are fantastic, some of the service at check in/out was sub par.

On our arrival we were told we were four minutes early so we could not check in and our room wasn't ready. We went for a walk around the grounds which were fantastic. When we eventually got in our room there was only one set of towels and there was two of us. We asked the maid for some more towels but she could not understand a word we were saying I felt sorry for her I blame the hotel for this it was embarrassing for her and us. The same thing happened a few days later. Apart from this the serv... Read more

It took more than 5 minutes to complete check in because the reception staff acted very slowly. In addition, she'd forgotten to provide us drink coupon until I requested her so. While check out, I found that dinner was charged although I:d prepaid at the booking. Overall, quality of reception service is quite low compared to other Accor hotels in Europe. The hotel located beautiful country side and dishes of the restaurant was very good & reasonable.

Well where do I start, this may be long but bear with me. My partner and I got married on Friday just gone. He wanted somewhere nice for us to stay as we are not able to go on honeymoon just yet. He choose Walton Hall as we had drinks there a while ago and we thought it was lovely. My partner was staying the night before and we spent our wedding night there, I checked in on the Thursday and was told we would be in the hall which I was very pleased about but was told we had to come back over to ... Our room was functional and clean and the bed was huge and across the carpark to Reception and the restaurant where breakfast is served. Bar in the function suite was extremely expensive. Breakfast was completely self service, but pretty good. The grounds are beautiful - a lovely spot for the wedding we attended.
