My son had a bad sore throat after one of his exams at University. I drove up to take him to the out of hours doctor. I offered to find a hotel for us to stay in so I could drive him to his exam in Uni next day. I was in the car park of a supermarket in Leamington Spa wondering how on earth I was going to find a hotel at that time of night. I had downloaded the IHG app earlier in the day and it can up trumps with this hotel - booked it via the app and punched the postcode in the SatNav and we we... Read more

This was my first experience of a Holiday Inn and I was presently surprised. Not quiet a Premier Inn, better than a Travel Lodge. Extremely clean, modern communal areas with exceptionally pleasant & friendly staff. Easy parking directly out front of hotel for a small charge. Breakfast was nice, simple but perfectly adequate, buffet style offering berries & a yogurt, a selection of cereals, cooked breakfast items: bacon, cumberland sausage, beans, scrabbled egg and toast. Pretty standard Holiday Inn service and amenities. A cot was provided as requested, nice and comfy bed. Really good shower. Cleanliness could be a bit better, the air was really dusty and also under the bed. Breakfast really good. The only minus is that we thought it was going to be closer to the town, its a good 20 minute walk to the castle and another 10 to the train station. However, if you are coming with a car, the location should be pretty convenient. Overall pretty good, but for next time... Read more

I booked my stay with this hotel and contacted them directly for a special occasion. I wanted a birthday surprise in the room upon our arrival. I had agreed with the reservation manager - and re-confirmed a few days before our visit. This was over the space of a few weeks, advanced planning. I was assured all I hand. When we got to our room, the surprise wasn't there, which was disappointing as it had been planned and confirmed. I was really saddened by it as it was a treat for us, well a treat ... Read more

A typically good Holiday Inn Express, with good sized and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff who were very helpful. The hotel was very busy and breakfast was quite chaotic but I would stay again. Room 115 was very quiet and away from the Harvester. Not sure why parking isn't included and is so expensive for a non central hotel.

We stayed one night en route from Scotland to France. The attitude of the reception staff was so positive that I could hardly believe that we were in the UK! Nothing was a problem; they even promised to leave a note for the next day staff to say that we were leaving before the official breakfast time. So at 5 am we were able to have breakfast before we left. Well done!

This is not the hotel you go to for a romantic stay. However, if you come here to sleep for a night only to keep movong the next day, it is perfect. Inexpensive, breakfast included, clean, friendly staff, fairly easy to find? and Shakespear's birthtown right next to it with many nice restaurants and beautiful buildings. Bring your own pillows though - they were hard and horrible. And bring ear plugs, unless you sleep with closed windows or don't mind the noise of the traffic.

I arrived early in the morning after a long haul overnight flight. A room was made available and I was able to take a shower and relax. I was invited to take breakfast, excellent customer service. My husband and dog joined me later, its so good to have your dog stay with you. The breakfast is excellent and the choice of take away's in town is great if you want to stay in. Location is very good for travelling quickly onto the major road network. Thank you Holiday Inn Express for an excellent... Read more

This hotel has had it's ups and downs, my last review said that it had much improved. On our recent stay heading back from Europe was really very good indeed. We had a large corner room on the 2nd floor, it's really big and the new re fit is great and much improved - we really liked it. It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was good and plenty of towels provided. The shower was great. Our welcome at the reception desk was excellent - really customer focused. Breakfast has improved ma... Read more

Smooth checkin, helpful staff. Rooms was a good size and our request for a ground floor room was covered. The room and bathroom was clean with all the amenities you need for a quick stay. Breakfast the next morning had a good selection. All in all a great stay - would definitely use this again? (Don't go to the Harvester next door though - this was rubbish!)

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It's extremely convenient to get to Stratford, Warwick and Kenilworth and is just off the M40. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were very clean and well presented, though some of the tiles in the bathroom (we had an accessible room so had a wet room) has seen better days. We did find the heating/air conditioning a bit fiddly. Breakfast is included and is in the hotel, a good variety and choices. For an evening meal there is a Harvester right n... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for three nights with about 16 school friends, our annual reunion. I opted for a single occupancy room which was fine. Everything you need is provided for and I was very comfortable. The hotel is situated just off the M40, however I heard nothing when in my room with the window closed. The bar/breakfast area is large and houses the reception, bar, snacks selection and the free help yourself breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was good, all I needed was there. A large c... We wanted somewhere near to Warrick castle and this hotel fitted the bill, being only 5 or so minutes drive. We had two family rooms with an adjoining door which worked out well for all of us. The rooms were clean, well presented, with tea making facilities and good hot showers in a large cubicle. Soap and shampoo is provided in canisters attached to the wall. Breakfast was good and the dining area was not too crushed, even when busy. On the whole, a good stay and a hotel we will use again. The ... Read more

En route to a conference, I opted to stop overnight rather than drive the whole distance after a full day's work. The hotel was right by the M40, but the room was so sound-proven. Everything: air conditioning, shower, extra sockets, lifts, coffee machine all worked. The breakfast bar was nice and hot and abundant. Most importantly the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable stay and I am really keen to use it again to break journey, or even to stay for a long weekend travelling ... Read more

Stayed for a night with a few friends. Rooms were nice & clean and beds were comfy. Couldn't fault the friendliness if the staff, who always greeted you or stopped to have a chat or give suggestions for a night out. There's a harvester next door which wasn't too bad (I'm usually not a fan) We headed to Hatton Arms for dinner, costs about £10-15 by cab. Warwick itself is a short drive up the road. The only let down was the breakfast. People were standing around waiting for a table and then... Read more

Stayed one night on business in area and found the hotel to be excellent. Arrived late but friendly and efficient reception staff helpful and knowledgeable. Room on second floor was quiet and tea and coffee facilities sufficient. Bathroom a little small but for the type of hotel it was all presented well and all systems worked. Buffet breakfast was very good and the check out went the same as checking in with reception showing an interest in client's well being rather than the usual cursory att... Read more

Clean, tidy and very pleasant. Check in was easy, room well serviced and Harvesters was just across the car park. Despite the closeness to motorway junction, it was quiet. Good value for money in middle England.

We stayed for night, whilst visiting friends in Warwick. The room was ok, but warned on checking in, that we should come to breakfast before 8am, as hotel was full and breakfast room would be crowded. This proved impossible, as my partner is disabled and it takes us up to 2 hours to launch in the mornings. There was a large queue for breakfast and lots of people milling around waiting. Breakfast room was full. We decided not to wait and missed breakfast. The problem is obviously the breakfast ... Read more

The stay was a bit disappointing. It wasn't bad but not exactly good either. In our room there was no plug socket anywhere near a mirror. Was interested trying to dry my hair without a mirror. The main light in the room was hanging by a wire on a hook on the ceiling. Quite obviously a temporary measure when it was originally put it in but clearly no one went back to fix. This was actually reported in a review on the site a year ago (Nov 2015) but still hasn't been addressed. The breakfast was ve... Read more

2 nights for me, husband and son while we visited Warwick Castle. Check in delayed by 30 minutes as room was not ready, but we were offered free parking to compensate. Hotel was clean, staff lovely. It was half term so very busy especially at breakfast, but signs in the lift suggested good times to arrive and they tried to manage the volumes of people well. Lots to eat and good choice. Room was tight with the sofa bed out, and it was a bit dippy at the foot end. All in all for about £60 a night... Read more

Stayed recently on business for one night, nice friendly arrival at reception, didn't have my room type so gave me a complimentary drink which wasn't necessary but nice gesture without asking. Room functional, good wifi which is free, decent bed and black out curtains. One small thing was a big hair in the shower which I didn't like but not the end of the world. Breakfast is simple but sufficient and free so cannot complain. For a single night where you just want to get your head down the place ... Read more
