A group of three dozen friends spent a very happy weekend here a week ago. It was very successful, helped in great measure by the attentive and helpful staff and Jayne Brown, Sales Manager, whose patience and friendly efficiency were very much appreciated by the organisers of our group. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully kept and our rooms were very clean. There is some difficulty using mobile phones because the reception is in a shadow area, but there is free wifi. I booked a dinner, b&b deal as a birthday celebration, £99 seemed like a very good deal when booked, but what was on offer for dinner put the offer into prospective, it was a average roast dinner, wouldn't of paid much more for it! The room however was very nice but there was no hot water, so could not have a shower. Breakfast was nice, but service was poor, had to ask for tea as they forgot us. Overall, the hotel building is lovely, but what is on offer and service is a little disappointing.

We booked with a Travelzoo voucher, excellent value for the price we paid. We were in room 101, very convenient for reception, the pool / gym. Food was very good although a sharper knife would have been great. Very close to all the attractions, would recommend this hotel, staff very attentive..... No problems finding the hotel the road signs were very clear. Would visit again.....

We stayed with our friends with our excellent value Travelzoo voucher. Which included a two course evening meal and a bottle of Presecco in our room on arrival. The staff very welcoming and helpful, the rooms were good with the ensuite bathroom just been modernised. They have a nice pool which we tried, my only complaint would be the gents shower at the pool needs cleaning or re grouting.

Great hotel and staff but the evening meal offered with deal from travel zoo was poor. Only a steak enticed one and that was on supplement! Breakfast passable but unmemorable. Get a new chef! Didn't try the spa but with most clients using it ,it must be good.

I have stayed at the Glebe a couple of nights a week for the last 6 months for work and it's a home away from home for me now. I enjoy the friendly staff and find the double rooms spacious. I regularly use the gym and pool and sauna and enjoy always enjoy my stays. I particularly enjoy the breakfast room and the hotel is lovely and warm in winter and airy in summer. The Bathrooms are really modern also. But most of all it's the welcoming staff that keep me coming back.

Went on a 2 night Travelzoo voucher with some friends. Good value - exceptional position - attractive village between Warwick and Stratford. Couldn't have dinner on Friday night as per voucher so staff were very amenable in letting us have it as a late lunch. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Like many people, we came across the Glebe through Travelzoo, and can understand why they have needed to advertise this way. Barford is a lovely village, but is set off a very busy by-pass which makes the village largely anonymous. The Glebe is down a lane in the village and you could drive past a thousand times and never know it was there. That was a real plus as it made for a very quiet and picturesque setting. The hotel itself looks great as you approach. The reception is light and airy, but... Read more

Barford is a peaceful and quite picturesque village near Warwick. I stayed there for two nights while traveling on business. It has the advantage that it is easy to get to even when the traffic is busy elsewhere. I enjoyed walking around the village in the light summer evenings. We stayed here in July as we were going to the CLA Game Fair and wanted a dog friendly hotel. We were worried the room may smell of dogs, but were pleasantly surprised as it didn't. The room was very comfortable but compact. There was a wedding on the Saturday evening but we weren't disturbed by any noise at all. The only downside was the 'fawlty towers' experience at breakfast. Food had run out and we were told it would be 5 minutes. Half an hour later we eventually received a cooked breakf... Read more

Visited for one night to use the small spa and be near Stratford upon Avon. Very friendly greeting on our arrival. Stayed here with my mother and sisters. We were celebrating her 60th birthday. Stayed in one of the renovated twin rooms and they were well decorated with new bathrooms. Spa is small but adequate with a small gym. The evening staff could do with some training in customer service. We arrived back on the evening after going out to dinner and we were made to feel like an inconvenience ... Read more

A party of us had a very good weekend at the Glebe with delicious food that was very varied and well cooked. The staff were extremely obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely visit again.

Good room, quite large, good lighting (unusual) if you wish to read in the evening, Good bathroom with excellent shower. We took up an offer but I think the hotel would still be good value at the full price. Happy to recommend to anyone, based on our experience.

Our room was large as was the bathroom, bed comfortable and enjoyed good nights sleep. This hotel could be quite stunning but this would I think be extremely expensive to achieve. Breakfast was disappointing

With an excellent location, imposing building and spacious rooms, The Glebe promises much. Unfortunately, the reality of our stay was a disappointing experience. On arrival, the reception is small and being right next to the entrance door, can be a bit of an access jam. The two receptionists were of such differing standards. One, helpful and welcoming, the other cold and arrogant. The room itself was simply furnished and decorated, but had a nice large bed, two fairly comfortable chairs, a table... Read more

Great hotel and staff. Some parts/rooms need updating, but overall very enjoyable, and nice location. The bar is a little on the pricey side, but you come to expect that. Breakfast was included, and was very tasty.
