My firend and I just stayed for one night but we thought it was a very nice, clean, pleasant hotel. The staff were lovely, the food was good and the prices very reasonable. We had a first floor room with two double beds - the view was of the dust bins and car park but that didn't matter just for one night. It took us a while to fathom out the heating but when we got the blowers to come on the room soon warmed up. We would recommend it for a short visit.

Keep your expectations low for this hotel. Situated a stones throw from the M6 it makes for a convenient stopover but nothing else. The staff member at check-in was very pleasant although came across somewhat robotic with the scripted instructions/questions. The room was spacious but very underwhelming although the bathroom was a unexpected surprise; very modern, clean and had a terrific shower. Considering the size of this hotel the bar area was unusually small. We saw some guests sitting in... Read more

Reviewed this hotel in the past, but still staying here every week while working in Warrington. Had an interesting experience a couple of weeks ago, on arrival I was informed i had been upgraded to an "Executive Room" having spent the last 4 or 5 months staying in standard rooms. The "upgrade" consisted of: 1) Upgraded toiletries (I bring my own anyway) 2) Toweling robe (thank you) 3) Same tired and worn out furniture 4) Downgraded bathroom (the standard rooms have been fitted with modern walk... This hotel is clean and pleasant. The prices for food and drinks are rather high, but it is decent quality. The staff are friendly and the stay was without problems. It was a first time stay at a Holiday Inn, but it won't be our last. The breakfasts are great, with full English, cereal, yoghurts and juices and you can help yourself to as much as you like. Only negative is you had to be a member of the hotel to get free WIFI.

This was our first stay at this hotel we found the rooms the room was spacious and clean with all facilities, the bar prices were a little over priced but the breakfast was well cooked and delicious with everything you needed, the staff were all happy and friendly nothing was to much trouble to make your stay pleasant. We stayed here when attending dogfest. Check in was very smooth. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Drinks and food was very expensive. I would go to the local pub instead. Rooms are basic although the bathrooms are very nice they must have recently been renovated. We brought our dog with us too beware there is a £15 charge. Tips bring ear plugs as it can't be noisy with doors being slammed throughout the night

I stopped here overnight because it is just off the M6, and in relation to its location it is hard to beat if you're driving that route. The reception staff were welcoming and professional, and the bedroom was fine - nothing special, but comfortable and clean which is all I needed. The Holiday Inn is just off the M6 near Warrington making a convenient stop if you are travelling North / South or as a base for Liverpool / Manchester corridor. It is surrounded by trees, but given it is so close to the M6, it was a pleasant surprise that I didn't notice any noise from the road - though it was a weekend. The hotel is on a road connecting two roundabouts and you need to make sure you get into lane 1 very quickly or you can easily miss the turning for the hotel, as I did and en... Read more

For an overnight stay, this isn't too bad. Bring earplugs to block out your neighbours ( this goes for both Holiday Inns I've stayed at, though how representative this and the one in Liverpool's Albert Dock is, I'm not sure ). A surprisingly wide-ranging choice of gins in the bar should help to steel yourself for what feels like Iceland Supermarket's less-than- finest for dinner. We stayed over after visiting friends. Clean and tidy room, kettle, tv, decent bed, lots of hot water, everything you need at what was already a bargain price, but we got it 'free' with air miles. Still, if we'd paid for the room it would have been cheap. Normally the location would be the only problem, right on the motorway four miles out of town, but we got a lift so it was perfect.

I held a few interviews within the hotel and was taken by surprise on how great the Ladies in the Bar and Restaurant treated me. Fantastic customer service which I've not seen for a long time. Credit goes to Alisha, Maureen and Doreen. So refreshing to see that good customer service still exists.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The room and bathroom was nice but the breakfast at £14.95 is a total rip off and £4.50 for tray price is also very steep.. the gin menu is also very expensive....
