I was upgraded to an executive room after a booking mishap but it was a lovely room and sure the standard rooms would have been just as good. Staff all very friendly and welcoming and evening meal was good. Less impressed by the buffet breakfast as the bacon and scrambled eggs were cold. Glad I Didn't pay for it.

I stay here periodically - sometimes one night, sometimes more. It's well positioned & facilities are OK. As with many hotels, entering & exiting can be a smokey affair with smoking types gathering around the door. God knows how frustrating it must be for staff having to regularly collect butt ends & clear the spit from the contract labour. At least, they're not smoking indoors.

I visted here on Wednesday evening with a small group of people, we booked a hot buffet, beef lasagna, veggie lasagna, chicken curry, rice, wedges and cheesecake. Firstly, I have to say James who managed my booking was amazing, very friendly and so helpful. The food was brilliant, there was so much chicken in the chicken curry, which is nice to see as you normally get lots of sauce. The staffing working on the bar and serving the food were very friendly too. It was a busy evening, the bar and r... Read more

Convenient location for the motorway and for getting into Walsall and Birmingham. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Room was very nice, we had an executive room, not because we wanted a big room particularly, but this was the only room left. In fairness, was nice that we had this as it meant that we could have a separate sleeping area for our child instead of being cramped up with a cot bed in the room. We didn't sample the breakfast here. But they are all pretty much of a muchness in th... Read more

This review is based on two stays my Girlfriend and I had at the Holiday Inn Walsall in February and May 2016. On our first stay, we had an issue which upset us both and tarnished what was meant to be a much needed relaxing night away. We ordered room service for our room at around Midnight. We ordered Cheese & Branston Pickle wrap and a Tuna Melt wrap. Nice and simple you would think, how wrong could we have been? My cheese & branston wrap was basically a complete wrap, plastered full of branst... Read more

Stayed here for 1 night - we chose twin beds and they did not disappoint. Very comfy and large. The room was spacious and so lovely to open a window! Light and airy. The breakfast was great. I would stay here again. Also a good choice of snacks, meals and beverages available, we were going to go out for a meal but decided to stay in.

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed. Firstly the building is conveniently located just off M6 and it feels warm and welcoming upon arrival. The rooms are spacious and offer soft, comfortable beds with clean bedding. The bathroom offers the best type of shower and tub combination. Overall the staff are very attentive and provide a first class service. I would stay here again without a doubt. Highly recommend!

Arrived at the Walsall Holiday Inn, which is just off the M6, but not close enough for you to hear the motorway traffic, and set in a residential location. We must have arrived at a busy time because it took a while for us to be seen to by the two receptionists on duty. Apparently this has just been refurbished, and although there is a lower counter at the reception, it does not appear to be used for booking in, it is used for gaining passes to the health club, surely an oversight as this shoul... The hotel was easy to find, just off the motorway, and it was a short hop into the centre to see the sights. My status earned me an executive room and it was very nice, with a separate seating area, ground floor access and plenty of space. The bar was pleasant enough, though the barman appeared to be very inexperienced, and was thrown off but what should have been straightforward requests. Check-in and checkout was fast, friendly and efficient. But... we were kept awake both late at night and... Read more

This hotel is convenient for the M6. Spacious rooms although extremely noisy throughout the night made it difficult to sleep. Bathroom soap hadn't been refilled from the previous guest which was very poor on housekeeping's part. If you're after luxury don't stay here but if you're wanting a tidy stopover then this is ideal.

All of the staff were great and very helpful, check-in in team were great at helping with baby and the restaurant staff were very helpful. Food was good. Pool was good. Only problem was that family rooms were on the top floor and there was no lift, the staff however were quick to offer to help carry buggy, baby and cases up the stairs. The room was great but the windows need a good cleaning as they're covered in black mould.

I stayed on business for 2 weeks in late May and into June. As a gym user I requested a room close to the gym facilities for my second week as the first week I was literally 10 feet away from the door to the gym. Sadly despite my request I was placed in a room in a different area. The restaurant staff were pleasant and on the whole the food was nice. Sky sports in the rooms is a bonus.

2 nights for a business trip, It's OK for a short over night but a little over priced for what it is I think, Booked bed Breakfast and Evening Meal. The evening meal they give you an £18.00 allowance of the menu, for the prices this isn't really adequate to get a full meal, it will just cover a main but no starter or desert, unless they have a buffet night on. I have stayed in many holiday inns and I must say this by far is the worst. I booked two family rooms only to be given to standard rooms with sofa beds. 3 kids and 2 adults. Decided to try this hotel as an alternative to my regular choice based on its advertised 'recently refurbished' status. Was disappointed to find black tape covering carpet break and holes in public areas. Room considered clean but basic with minimal toiletries unless requested. Typical one in one out hotel. Tatty, well used, short staffed, with average faire on offer in the restaurant, think pub two for one, and you're about there. Putting a gym in the hotel and a TV in the room doesn't make it four star, so don't expect that. In fact don't even expect a towel in the room that hasn't had the life washed out of it.
