When we arrived in the car park I was very dubious about going in as it looks very run down with the paint peeling of the walls, broken roof tiles and rotten widows. Great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable room followed by a good, hearty breakfast. There's a couple of nearby pubs with decent ale, Sports TV (if desired) and, rather oddly, identical prices for the same Pizzas offered on the limited menus. Couldn't fault the Hotel for the money paid. Well done.

Stayed for two nights on a voucher deal, excellent value for money. The room was quiet , clean and comfortable with free wifi. Plenty of parking at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked by Tony who was friendly and efficient. Short walk into Wellington were there were bars and restaurants.

Went on a Groupon 2 night voucher deal. Pulled up outside and immediately thought this is a mistake, the building to be polite looked very tired and in need of attention. However inside was the total opposite, nicely decorated, clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom though no bath - shower only, was clean with constant hot water. Breakfast was really good, and plentyful. compliments to the chef. The owner was very friendly and advised of all the local attractions that this area ... Read more

As a Bed and Breakfast we cannot fault this place. very clean, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast. However we were looking for a pub atmosphere that served evening meals, (it states on their website that they do) somewhere we could relax after a day out and not have to go out again. (my husband cannot walk very far as he has a heart condition) and this did not fit the bill, they are not open to non residents so there was no atmosphere at all. They told us they no longer served evening meals as... Read more
