My friend & I stayed here for a night as we were attending a friends party. Hotel was easy to find & the 2 female receptionists were really helpful & friendly. Room was great, beds were really comfortable, as were the pillows & quilt, my friend & I did not want to get out of our beds on the Sunday morning ! Breakfast was a disaster ! Firstly there was no where for us to sit, we went to find breakfast only to find very agitated guests who were asking for the simple things like plates !! The lady ... Read more

Exactly what it says on the tin: clean, comfortable accommodation, with a basic breakfast to get your day started. No frills but good value for the price. The staff were helpful. It's very close to M4 junction 16, although I struggled to follow the map directions (if you don't have sat nav - head towards Swindon and take a right at the first roundabout).

A lovely, spotlessly clean hotel where nothing was too much trouble. Excellent check in & out & reception staff offered to help carry bags etc. A quiet room despite being next to the M4. Plenty of free parking & easy access to lifts/stairs etc. Lovely comfy bed too with plenty of fresh towels. The ice machine in reception was useful. I have booked another stay here as we were made to feel very welcome despite being a busy Easter weekend.

One night stay on Sunday, hotel fairly quiet. Room was great, large with space for bags. Nice bed and lots of plug points for charging gadgets. Very quiet despite proximity to motorway. Breakfast very quiet on Monday morning with hot and cold choices. For the price, a great deal and good location.

Stayed last night using my reward points. Hotel is easy to find just off j16 M4. The car park is quite small for the size of the hotel but fortunately I found what was probably the last free space.... Not sure there's options to park out on the access road. Check-in was quick simple, and room was clean and well fitted out with usual things - tea/coffee, TV, etc. Good nights sleep despite being close to motorway, the room was quiet. I stayed over there for 1 month in a business travel, the room was so clean, every day was like a vacation. Nothing to do, nothing to care about. Robert from the reception was a great host. Every inn, hotel must have an employee like Robert. Helpful, I appreciate he's readiness, open-minded atitudine and willing to increase the comfort of our staying. He deserves a score of 11 out of 10!

I was too tired to continue my journey & opted to rest at this hotel .. This hotel is amazing .. for the price that I paid, I enjoyed a relaxed stay, the room was sizeable enough, large shower, buffet breakfast and free parking .. furthermore, it right next to the motorway but you can't hear the noise of the vehicles zooming past ..

Booked a family room for 2 nights. Only one towel between 3? This was rectified by housekeeping on day 2. Very friendly staff and good service. The letdown on arrival was due to overflowing bins at the entrance, not a good first impression. Fire alarm went off during breakfast service and I was very impressed by how quickly the whole hotel was evacuated and the problem sourced and defused (don't leave your red hot hair straighteners on the bed people!). I would definitely use this hotel again

Strange place is what sums this place up really. When we walked in to check in it was like we'd walked into twighlight zone, everyone stopped and seemed to stare! Check in was quick and efficient and the rooms were the usual Holiday Inn Express standard. There were no places around to eat so we opted to eat there. I visited this hotel due to having meetings around Swindon. For a budget hotel that cost £130 per night it is very basic. That coupled with the fact the staff don't appear to want to work there, left me feeling it wasn't money well spent. In future I will opt for the premier inn across the road.

We popped down to buy a drink and retired to our room, after 2 very long days at R.I.A.T we were shattered. We were in bed by 10:45pm, little did we know that at 1:50am the fire alarm would go off! Very modern and clean hotel. Very helpful staff and excellent continental breakfast in the morning. This hotel is ideal if traveling by car as it is just off the M4. However we travelled to Swindon by train, so a taxi (fairly expensive) is your best bet. There are a collection of bus stops within 0.5Km so these are also an option. Breakfast was including cooked English for those who need their bacon fix. Coffee at breakfast was truly awful as was the watery fruit juices but to be fair this seems bog standard in budget hotels.

Stayed here for one night after visiting Bath. Room was very clean, staff very helpful and accommodating and gave a lot of information in a short time.. Excellent WIFI, huge TV, air con. Breakfast was good and well stocked. A good location for visiting Bath. Excellent value for money.

I needed an overnight stop en-route to Oxford; this is perfect just off the motorway with adjacent parking, and as you would expect from HI. Friendly welcoming staff, pristine clean and comfortable rooms. This hotel does do a limited evening menu, although I did not eat here. Breakfast was the usual buffet, staff on hand to keep stations clean and topped up. I would defiantly stay here again, I cant think of anything to fault, it does as it says.

Right off the motorway, free parking, free WiFi, clean and efficient. You can't ask for more than that than a business hotel. It looked new to me. The breakfast area looked well stocked, plus there was a bar area. This place looks like the sort of place that isn't going to give you all the whistles and bells, but what it does it does really well. Ate pizza here and had hot drinks during a business meeting. Paid £11 for a good tasting pizza. This hotel also seemed to offer conference fa... Read more

Staying here a third time now for business. The first time was in October 2016, had a great few nights here. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and food is great and not too expensive. The second time I stayed, there had been a mix up at my company's end with the booking, but Robert on the front desk did everything he could to help me out and got me a room sorted. I've not come across such helpful staff in other hotels, the staff here are excellent. Now back for a third time, Robert welcom... Read more

Stay here for a few nights most weeks and always find it clean, comfortable and quiet with extremely helpful and friendly staff - especially Michelle and Robert. Great value hotel with everything you need.

I have stayed here many times this year and found the staff truly amazing.Robert always remembers my name which is impressive and he is a true gent. Mexico always has a smile on her face and again nothing is too much trouble for either of them. I recently needed to book a room but they were full showing online i phoned Robert and a room was arranged very impressed . Thankyou you do a great job

The best thing I can say about any hotel is that I'd happily stay there again, and this is definitely true of the Holiday Inn. The location is very convenient for the M4 and the welcome was warm and efficient. The pleasant surprise was my room - it looked recently refurbished and was excellent - a good size, comfortable bed, really excellent heating and cooling system, hairdryer and iron (which you do not always find in hotels of this type) and overall, very comfortable. I had dinner and break... Read more

Back in the day, my wife and I used to stay at Holiday Inns regularly. The rooms were good quality and the breakfast was without compare. We haven't actually stayed in a Holiday Inn since the mid-eighties, let alone an Express, but we were seeing a play in Bath and Bath hotels are too expensive, so we booked a room in Swindon and, as it was on the way back to London, it worked for us. The blackout curtains were so effective, we had no idea there was a busy motorway outside. My wife likes a b... Read more

Stayed on an overnight visit. The rooms were beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. The en-suite was modern and so clean. The only disappointment was the breakfast - epic fail for me. I have a dairy allergy and I'm vegetarian. There was no soya milk - so unable to have cereal. The toaster was set to cremate. The only thing I could eat from the breakfast was beans. (There were no tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns or veggie sausages - your competitors offer these as... Read more

A boring review but an uneventful stay in a bland hotel, it is clean, comfortable and quiet. Basically all you need from a budget hotel, I would stay again but wouldn't mind friendlier staff.... standard holiday inn express corporate hotel

Large clean bedroom, tv, tea/coffee making facilities. Iron and hair dryer. Spacious bathroom with shower. Comfy beds. Friendly staff, nice bar. Lifts to rooms. Breakfast included, tea/coffee juice, cereal, toast and jams, buns, beans, scrambled egg and sausage. No bacon tho ??. Would stay again as close to bath Christmas market.

The hotel was easy to find and convenient for travel along the M4, but a bit remote from shops and restaurants, There was plenty of parking available at the hotel and the receptionists were friendly. The room was adequate but it did not have a bath. A small sofa was available and a small desk for working on. The wifi was excellent and available in the rooms. The tv had the usual freeview channels and was easy to use. The bed was comfy but a bit smaller than the beds available in a Premier ... Read more

Clean, large, warm double room. Our room was on the side near to the motorway turnoff but due to the excellent triple glazing we didn't hear a thing. Comfortable soft beds and room had kettle and tea, coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as the scrambled egg looked a bit strange colour, but sausages were adequate and there is a choice of cereals, toast, croissants, yogurts etc. For a budget hotel it is good value and would recommend for an overnight stay.

Stayed overnight to break our journey to Cornwall. Never stayed at Holiday Inn before but were pleasantly surprised to find a warm welcome from the reception staff and lovely clean room, choice of pillows, large tv and to cap it all a free breakfast. Ok, the cooked options are limited to sausages, beans and scrambled eggs but all perfectly satisfactory and there were plenty of other choices if cooked was not for you. We will definitely book again. Despite being right next to the m4 we heard no ... Read more

As you stand at the front desk awaiting to be welcomed as the manager messes about pouring drinks you realise "We Don't welcome your custom at all"! Manager needs to acknowledge arriving customers, even to say "good evening I will be with you shortly"! Rooms are holiday inn express standard so clean and as you expect. Breakfast, well it's a chore getting all the component parts and awaiting cutlery etc. As always the public who never leave the house were there grabbing food and items like ... Read more
