Great pool, gym and spa, good location in town centre, all popular with our young adults! Reception staff very friendly and chatty, however breakfast staff a bit huffy about being asked for things that were missing (essentials, like coffee cups(!) coffee, milk, eggs and fruit juice) Breakfast, all in all was quite a debacle and we ended up being overcharged due to inaccurate info at check-in, even when we challenged it (also taking into consideration breakfast comes with an extra charge per pers... This hotel, centrally located scores for position. Ten to fifteen minutes walk to all Swansea has to offer. Ask at reception for a city centre street map. The "pay-off" for location is the noise from the unusual double dual carriageway plus the obligatory "night revellers". Try to get a room at the rear of hotel. I agree with several other reviewers about the breakfasts. Had a real "hit & miss" during my stay. But if you can get either Lauren or Rebecca on duty your are in for service "par excel... Read more

A great hotel made even better by the staff and the service they provide. Arrived late last night (2am). Staff on hand to help with car parking and happy to show me the conference room we were using. Equally happy to make a few last minute changes to the layout of the conference room. Breakfast is great.

Booked for two nights and first impressions very good. Open reception, clean tidy room everything you would expect. £4.00 for a pint of lager and 90p for crisps but I anticipated that. Then 20 minutes ago got into the lift to be overwhelmed with the odour of food and particularly sprouts. I detest sprouts at the best of times but to be surrounded by the smell and no escape. (If not sprouts the vegetables made a passable impression). It seems that there was a private dinner in one of the ground ... Read more

We arrived early managed to park around the back of the hotel. We were advised parking was not free even though the last few reviews on TA state free parking? We had to pay £8 for 24 hours. Check in was very slow and the queue was long and it was long after 2pm check in. The hotel itself was good. City Centre location we walked to Plantasia, the beach and the shops no problems. Our room was small but had everything we needed. Kettle hairdryer shampoo and gel plenty of towels. Hot powerful showe... Read more

We had a fantastic two course meal in the Brassiere. Large portions of pork and lamb which was cooked to perfection . Desert was moorish and service exceptional. Would recommend visitors or locals to visit. Many choices on light bites also.

On arrival greeted by a very nice lady on reception who was courteous and efficient. Room on 5 th floor which we could not fault. Excellent breakfast and great service yet again. Prior to check out I needed A Doctor, my wife spoke to the receptionist who promptly called the surgery. She arranged for me to see the doctor and escorted us to the surgery which was about 100m away. Can't fault this hotel or the service extended to us. Would definitely re-visit. And many thanks to reception staff on d... Read more

This hotel fails to deliver on all accounts. The room is the same as your bog standard Premier Inn. No proper ironing board just some mini thing you have to balance on a chair so impossible to iron a shirt well. Bathroom is tired. Each person is only allocated one biscuit and there is one glass between two! There were holes in the bed sheets and the towels were thin and rough. Remote control was dodgy and didn't work right. The restaurant was closed, had go eat in the brasserie. Food was OK th... Read more

Had early evening meal. Food and service were good at a fair price. Decor a little worn - would have expected a city center hotel/bar/restaurant to have been more up to date. Drinks were a little expensive but expected as a hotel. Free parking on site was a bonus but not easy to find due the traffic flow system in the city center.

Stayed here on business for two nights and was impressed. Very central and only a 5 min walk from the train station. Rooms were a good size and bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and clean towels both days. The gym was a good size for what was needed and lovely pool. Breakfast was okay, not a huge choice but certainly something for everyone. Would definitely recommend and return if on business in Swansea again.

I'm a disabled guest and booked a disabled room with ease on the hotel website for a weekend trip. The plus points. The hotel is lovely and clean. Really central to Swansea city centre, all the bars and nightlife. The wet room was fab, Nice warm shower. The staff were friendly but a few things bothered me. The carpark disabled spaces are really not wide enough for wheelchairs. It's a very small carpark and I felt it was a struggle for us to park and for me to have enough room to manoeuvre. The o... Parking a perk, especially for central swansea. Friendly staff. Asked for plumbing to be looked at numerous times but was just told to hold flush down longer! This advice made no difference and still staff would not get anyone to look into the matter. Apart from this everything was good, comfortable beds, etc.

I stayed here on a Saturday evening and found the hotel to be very comfortable and in a good location. I had an upper floor room which was quiet. Air con worked well which for me is a big plus. Staff on reception were all very helpful and friendly. I did not try the restaurant.

I checked in and went up to my room. The room was clean and modern and it had a massive TV which I liked. My room overlooked the car park and Swansea. City views yes but not probably what I had in mind. I decided to go for a drink in the bar. After waiting for about 5 minutes for some one to turn up I ordered a pint of strongbow (£3.95) and sat down in the corner. I didn't fancy waiting around so decided to retire to my room and watch the news on the massive tele and then off to sleep. The be... Read more

Well located in the centre of Swansea. I am not normally a city stayer but thought the weather was not going to be as good as we had and therefore provided a city experience if it was wet on one of the days. A good position to get to the Gower, mountains, mumbles, other beaches and green space. The hotel was quickly found on sat nav and drove without problem directly to hotel. We had no problem during our stay using their secure car park. I felt confident that our car was safe at all times. G... Read more

As you can't remove noisy seagulls from outside the rooms, double glazing should be added. The rooms are very tired, there was a bad smell in the corridor and the lift is the smallest in the world. Not a good experience!!

Chose hotel after reading Tripadvisor ratings and I was generally pleased with my choice.Very conveniently situated for the city centre and with it's own secure car park.Decent sized room albeit starting to look a little tired with marks on walls and faded carpet, but well equipped bathroom and efficient air conditioning. The latter for me is a must as sleeping with the window open could be a challenge with traffic and gull/pedestrian noises.King size bed is 2 singles bolted together but comforta... Stayed at The Dragon for a night on a recent stop-over in Swansea. It's a big hotel, you can't really miss it, but it wouldn't win a beauty contest! Parking is round the back and has several parking spaces but not nearly enough for a hotel of that size. We were checked in by a very friendly lady on Reception. We made our way up to our room on the 5th floor. The good thing about being so high up is that any road noise is eliminated. The room was comfortable with a huge TV, but needed a bit of tlc ... I stayed at the Dragon Hotel for business reasons. The location of the hotel was perfect just a short walk from the city centre. My stay was very enjoyable because the room was quiet, clean and had all the amenities and comfort I needed. The front of house staff were excellent and provided great customer service particularly Hazel a very pleasant informative member of staff who was extremely helpful and approachable. I will be staying again in future so thank you to the Dragon and Hazel.

Great city centre location, free wi-fi, clean and spacious rooms. Cooked breakfast was served to the table and very good. Secured overnight car park for £8 as any city centre hotel would charge. Enjoyed the indoor hearted swimming pool and gym too. Overall, great stay and I would recommend and stay again.

Our room was great-had the executive one to allow a little more space as we were here for a few days. Could have easily been 5* but the small things let the place down. The management or staff should stay for a day themselves and see things through the customer's eyes. 1. We ordered pizza to our room as it was on offer. It was horrible-a tomato base of nothing but tomato puree with about 3 packets of cheese lumped on top. I actually heard a manager discussing the menu with a chef and stated how... Read more

We spent a week here with friends. We chose this hotel as we were playing golf on the Gower Peninsula. The rooms were clean although in need of a refurb, very few coat hangers and short on space for clothes in general. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were a bit disappointed with the bar in the bistro as they had run out of baileys on the third night and when we asked for it on other nights were told hadn't yet been delivered. Surely someone could have nipped to the supermarket.... Read more

Overall I would say the say was actually pretty good, but the hotel is let down by some of the details it could improve on. Positives for us were the staff, the restaurant food quality ( aside from breakfast, more on that later), the accommodation and the quietness of our room, despite a couple of parties in the hotel. On the negative side, the biggest issue I would recommend the hotel spend some time on is the organisation at breakfast. We found ourselves asking for multiple breakfast items - l... Read more

On our arrival to Swansea we had a very unpleasant welcome into the Windsor hotel which is situated around the corner from the dragon , I won't go into detail but to say the least it was substandard and I was not prepared to stay there and neither should anyone else.
