Pros: Location - just a 3 minute walk from the railway station. An enjoyable 10 minute walk to town center. Everything is close by. Room- spacious rooms, amazing bathroom Amenities - everything was easy and worked well (wifi, checkin/ out, luggage storage) Breakfast - fantastic buffet spread Staff - friendly and helpful Cons: Can't really think of any - if anything, the hotel is quite popular which could lead to some wait times for a breakfast table or an elevator. Overall highly recommend

Booked for two nights, staff were very friendly, the rooms comfortable and well laid out. Had a lovely stay. Breakfast was well stocked and well cooked. I would recommend this hotel. The reception staff were very good. The only negative is the car parking charge, include it in the cost for those with cars happy to pay it but would prefer it included in the price

Stayed in a standard room on a Saturday night: checked in smoothly around an hour early and desk staff were professional and friendly. Clear explanation of the way to our room, breakfast times, facilities etc. Room on the third floor was clean and decor modern with tea and coffee, little fridge, fresh towels and bedding. We stayed here for five nights whilst visiting relatives in the South Warwickshire area. As others have noted, this hotel is ideally located between the railway station and the town centre. We arrived from the airport with a hire car, and it found the parking easy, and with the extra security of a barrier. It costs 5GBP per day. Our top floor room was large by UK standards, and well fitted out. There was a 'fridge, with bottled water inside, a kettle, tea, instant coffee, and biscuits. The w... Read more

Visiting for a family wedding we experienced both the capability of the hotel and a stay over allowed us to check out the rooms as well. We were very pleased with the attention given to our party and overall we were able to quickly get things done when requested. Given that the wedding was both on site and the evening function was also at the hotel, we were again pleased with the space and staff given to us. I've stayed a here a few times now and I could not fault the hotel. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food is excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. The rooms are well equipped and quiet. On this last visit we were given a free superior room upgrade which was a bonus. A few extra goodies in the room, bigger bed, bath robes, etc. The hotel is very well placed with the town centre two mins walk away. Overall absolutely excellent.

Very pleased with hotel: room well appointed and whilst didn't try the restaurant, pleasant lounge bar and very good quality buffet breakfast with wide choice. Excellently located centrally: walking distance to majority of tourist attractions with both car parking and very close to railway station. Check in advertised at 3pm but happy to check us in when we arrived just after 1pm leaving us clear to enjoy the whole afternoon.

Check in after 3pm where we were greeted in a warm and friendly way. The hotel is clean, lifts a little old but functional and the corridors are well lit. Our room was clean and comfortable though my partner wasn't impressed with the hairdryer ???. There was an iron & ironing board which was handy. Breakfast was tasty and varied, porridge, cereals, fry-up, toast, pastries, fruits.

Took a couple of days off to meet up with old friends in Stratford-upon-Avon. We stayed here. We'd stay there again as the room was very good and so was the food although the menu sounded pretentious in places. E.g. "coal infused mash" - yes folks, that's right, coal crushed to a powder and mixed in with your lily-white mashed potato to colour it black or dark grey. Haven't they heard of squid ink for gawd's sake? And a lightly oaked Chardonnay that shows how a brief time (what 10mins?) ove... Read more

As it was my wife's birthday, I treated her to a night in a Junior suite here with dinner and breakfast. The room was very spacious and the bathroom had twin washbasins and towelling robes. I would have liked a walk-in shower rather than one over the bath. Car park is £5 per night and some of the spaces are a little awkward to get in and out. I have reviewed Quills restaurant separately. The hotel is convenient for the town centre and theatres. Recommended.

The hotel was comfortable and staff were friendly. Just a couple of niggles, we should have considered the £5 a day for the car park when comparing prices of hotels. Unfortunately, the coffee at breakfast was most unpleasant, just coloured water. After complaining we were told that it was filtered coffee and were brought another jug which was equally as weak. This annoyed us as we look forward to a decent cup of coffee in the mornings with breakfast.

We were disappointed by the ambience of this hotel. The photographs make it look stylish and characterful but in fact the design and atmosphere feel more like an upmarket care home - very bland and corporate. The service is of a good standard apart from two grumbles - at a £200 per night hotel I wouldn't expect to queue both mornings for breakfast or to pay extra to park my car.

Stayed here for one night with the family while visiting Stratford. The two rooms (junior suite and adjoining twin of more or less equal size) were of good size, comfortable furniture and quiet. Combined with the fact that the hotel is within walking distance of almost all local attractions, and it's relatively reasonable prices, make it an excellent choice when visiting the bard's birthplace.
