We stayed here last weekend as a group of 25 who all worked together over many years some retired, some still working but used the weekend to catch up and relax in a good hotel in a superb location. The hotel is in central Stratford 5mins from shops, cafes, historical attractions and the river. Some parts of the hotel are very old with beams and beautiful flagged floors. Our room was in the modern part with a view of the garden, it had everything needed for a weekend stay however the bathroom was ... Read more

Away for my Inlaws 50th anniversary. Clean and tidy hotel. On arrival the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom for two adults and a teenager was very roomy, the bathroom was clean and more than enough towels. The reception area is spacious and very relaxing. The gardens are lovely to sit out in. Breakfast and afternoon tea is more than enough to fill your appetite. The bar staff are as friendly as all the rest of the staff. Very central based hotel for walks around town and by the ri... Stayed here between business meetings. Will not return. I was trying to iron my shirts and the iron had a VERY bad burnt mark on bottom that would have left marks on my shirt. I tried to iron and the burn was so bad you couldn't even move the iron across ANY fabric. I called the front desk to see if I could get a replacement. 20 or so minutes later and getting hung up on several times, someone finally answered the phone and brought up another one up but it had a stain also. This hotel has lots of character. It is extremely convenient for the theatre, it is just a short walk down one street to the RSC Stratford. It is situated right in the middle of the town and ideal for exploring Stratford. There is car parking available at £5 per night for hotel guests, this is a fair price as you are in the centre of town and the car park is secure. The hotel food is also a reasonable price, we included breakfast with our visit..........it is a buffet style with plenty of choic... Read more

We stayed at the Falcon Hotel for two nights, taking in Hamlet at the RSC. We opted for dinner B&B for the first night... and B&B for the second night. Apart from one off the reception staff being rather abrupt on arrival, we had a lovely stay. The other reception staff were brilliant... We stayed on the newer part of the hotel, excellently clean rooms, slightly dated furniture and capers, however you don't come to Stratford to spend time in your hotel room. Pleasant room, but the weekend was very warm and the room hot. Duvet was too small & kept falling off the single beds. Alternative lighter bedding should have been available. Reception staff were friendly apart from one! Restaurant breakfast staff were mainly inattentive (sleepy on Sunday morning?)

So I stayed here with my 17 year old son as part of a trip to see Hamlet. I booked it because of its period features. I also phoned the hotel a month ago to ensure that they were aware I wanted a twin and not a double, and to request a room in the old part. So to say I was disappointed to be in the part of the hotel which is essentially a travelodge affair is putting it mildly. In fact, when you come in from the car park you wouldn't know you were in anything special. When I expressed my disappo... Read more

Lovely old hotel, good room in the old building, and the service at reception and breakfast was better than usual, with a personal touch. It was a shame that other guests using the courtyard at night were noisy and slammed the door every time they went in and out. Not much the hotel could have done about the guests, but they could have a soft closer fitted on that door! All in all a good experience and I would stay again.

Within walking distance of RSC. Good hotel multi-storey car park adjacent. Dog friendly. Room's in new block are spacious. Good buffet breakfast and reasonable rate. Staff good and very helpful on booking, trying to juggle seat availability at RSC and hotel availability. Free WIFI.
