A wonderful stay in this hotel, just a short drive from Stratford in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. We stayed in the Victorian Garden suite - spacious with a fabulous view of the formal gardens, as the name of the room suggests. The outstanding feature of this hotel is the gardens and nearby countryside. Just beautiful in the Spring. We even caught a glimpse of deer! Can imagine how atmospheric it must be in Winter with a roaring fire! The service from all staff was superb. Pool, bar ... Read more

We stayed for two nights for a birthday treat. We had the Shirley suite. All I can say about the Shirley suite is wow !!! It is huge, so light and has amazing views. It is at the front of the building almost above the front door. I know the hotel is steeped in ghost stories but no Ghosts in this room at has a wonderful feel. My parent stayed in the Kings maker chamber and it really did seem like a chamber. It was so dark and Windows did not really open, it did have the most amazing bathroom on... Read more

Spent two nights away for wedding anniversary lovely setting and very peaceful. Executive double slightly disappointing but lovely view over church ruins. Food was very good but same menu two nights running which was disappointing as choice on table d'hote was very limited. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but did appear to be flustered with so many guests at breakfast at same time... Eggs benedict was superb.

A wonderful tree lined drive leads you to this beautiful period hotel. The welcome from the hotel staff was excellent, we found all of them to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant; which was top class, great food and good service. The grounds of the hotel are well worth exploring. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but we will certainly return when we‚??re in the area again.

To celebrate my husband's birthday on May 20th we stayed, with a friend, at Ettington Park. It is a most beautiful neo Gothic property and when we were welcomed royally by Damon we knew we were going to enjoy it. The rooms we had were 12 and 14 which overlooked the gardens and chapel. There was a fridge in the room, tea and coffee making facilities and a bath with shower over in the en suite, all of which were spotlessly clean. Dinner in the candlelit restaurant was a delight. Just visited Ettington Park. The reviews were accurate. This is like a mini Downton Abbey. Attention to detail is at the forefront from start to finish. You are met in the car park by Damien who greets and welcomes you to Ettington. He takes you through to the reception area, and then onto your room. The rooms are spacious. They have a fridge which allows you to fill with your own drinks. The bar varies in price and can seem pricey. The cheapes bottle of wine starts at £23 shorts are £4-5 plu... Read more

Just spent a couple of days at Ettington Park with my better half, having dropped the kids back at school. The hotel and grounds are spectacular- the gothic detail inside and outside the hotel is completely over the top, but it somehow works. The room was large and full of character with a wonderful fireplace and large and comfortable bed. The attention to detail was first class. Beautiful country manor in a wonderful part of the world. The room was typical 4 stars..free internet, comfortable bed great bath. The best part is definitely the grounds. It includes an old 16th century church, gardens and even graves. Try to get a package that includes evening meal as the dinner was a highlight. You are a 5 minute drive from one of the best pubs in the Cotswolds....The Fuzzy Duck at Armscote, ideal for lunch or just a drink . Definitely a highlight of our trip to England.

The staff were attentive without being intrusive and I got the impression that they really did care about the guests experience. They got the little details correct and we all felt valued. Some of the most pleasant naturally beautiful grounds I've found at a hotel, but sadly that's about it. Most of the rest of it wasn't bad it was just really really ordinary and not what you would expect. Rooms ok, hotel main rooms ok, service okish. The food though was simply dreadful from dinner that was worse than a greasy spoon to breakfast which apart from some very nice orange juice was simply anaemic and tasteless. A sad weekend!

I really can't recommend Ettingham Park enough! From the minute we were greeted in the car park by Concierge all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Our room (Hall Executive double) was lovely - special mention to the little fridge in the room with a little carton of milk (rather than having tiny pots of UHT) and the dimmable lights. I also really liked the full length gothic windows. The only thing I didn't like was that the air con turned itself on automatically in the mornin... Read more

Absolutely stunning! We've never been disappointed with any of the Handpicked Hotels and this one was a really good one. Our room was lovely, it even has a tv in the bathroom! A stroll around the grounds is nice, the old church makes a great backdrop for a photo as does the front of the hotel, it kind of looks a bit like Hogwarts.
