A wonderful stay in this hotel, just a short drive from Stratford in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. We stayed in the Victorian Garden suite - spacious with a fabulous view of the formal gardens, as the name of the room suggests. The outstanding feature of this hotel is the gardens and nearby countryside. Just beautiful in the Spring. We even caught a glimpse of deer! Can imagine how atmospheric it must be in Winter with a roaring fire! The service from all staff was superb. Pool, bar ... Read more

We stayed for two nights for a birthday treat. We had the Shirley suite. All I can say about the Shirley suite is wow !!! It is huge, so light and has amazing views. It is at the front of the building almost above the front door. I know the hotel is steeped in ghost stories but no Ghosts in this room at has a wonderful feel. My parent stayed in the Kings maker chamber and it really did seem like a chamber. It was so dark and Windows did not really open, it did have the most amazing bathroom on... Read more

We recently stayed for two nights at the Ettington Park hotel, having one this in an auction prize. We had a really great stay, which included dinner and a bar tab, and were delighted with the whole experience. Arriving at this magnificent building makes you realise you are in for a unique experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful and welcoming. Our room was very spacious and had every facility that you could want, including very nice tea with fresh milk in the fridge and delicious bi... Read more

Spent two nights away for wedding anniversary lovely setting and very peaceful. Executive double slightly disappointing but lovely view over church ruins. Food was very good but same menu two nights running which was disappointing as choice on table d'hote was very limited. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but did appear to be flustered with so many guests at breakfast at same time... Eggs benedict was superb.

A wonderful tree lined drive leads you to this beautiful period hotel. The welcome from the hotel staff was excellent, we found all of them to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant; which was top class, great food and good service. The grounds of the hotel are well worth exploring. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but we will certainly return when we‚??re in the area again.

To celebrate my husband's birthday on May 20th we stayed, with a friend, at Ettington Park. It is a most beautiful neo Gothic property and when we were welcomed royally by Damon we knew we were going to enjoy it. The rooms we had were 12 and 14 which overlooked the gardens and chapel. There was a fridge in the room, tea and coffee making facilities and a bath with shower over in the en suite, all of which were spotlessly clean. Dinner in the candlelit restaurant was a delight. Just visited Ettington Park. The reviews were accurate. This is like a mini Downton Abbey. Attention to detail is at the forefront from start to finish. You are met in the car park by Damien who greets and welcomes you to Ettington. He takes you through to the reception area, and then onto your room. The rooms are spacious. They have a fridge which allows you to fill with your own drinks. The bar varies in price and can seem pricey. The cheapes bottle of wine starts at £23 shorts are £4-5 plu... Read more

Just spent a couple of days at Ettington Park with my better half, having dropped the kids back at school. The hotel and grounds are spectacular- the gothic detail inside and outside the hotel is completely over the top, but it somehow works. The room was large and full of character with a wonderful fireplace and large and comfortable bed. The attention to detail was first class. Fresh milk and complimentary water in the small fridge, which was just big enough to look after a bottle of champ... Read more

Beautiful country manor in a wonderful part of the world. The room was typical 4 stars..free internet, comfortable bed great bath. The best part is definitely the grounds. It includes an old 16th century church, gardens and even graves. Try to get a package that includes evening meal as the dinner was a highlight. You are a 5 minute drive from one of the best pubs in the Cotswolds....The Fuzzy Duck at Armscote, ideal for lunch or just a drink . Definitely a highlight of our trip to England.

We were on our way back from a family holiday but just didn't want to go home, so we looked for places to stay en route back. Most hotels were fully booked, I presume because of wedding season and it being a Friday night. We arrived at the gorgeous venue and grounds where we had managed to book a family room which would accommodate a hyper 2 year old. We received a warm welcome from the receptionist and were promptly shown our room which was WOW! It was two floors with plenty of room for our lit... Read more

I have been lucky enough to stay in some of the finest hotels in Europe and Ettington Park is up there with the best. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and I got the impression that they really did care about the guests experience. They got the little details correct and we all felt valued. The food in the restaurant was superb and wine was excellent. The whole place just spoke class, and with the added bonus of beautiful grounds I can thoroughly recommend a visit.

Ettington Park is a beautiful old English mansion house (the oldest part date back the 11th century, and the remains of an old chapel still stand in the grounds), set in acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. The rooms on the ground floor (the library, the bar, the lounge) are fantastic, oak-panelled rooms; the bedrooms are luxuriously appointed. Having said that, a place like that could do with a better clientele (coachloads of package tourists do not belong there, with all respect), better cui... Read more

We stayed at Ettington Park Hotel as part of an anniversary weekend getaway and were thrilled with our choice. As others have commented, the building (neo-gothic manor house) and grounds (extensive, lawns, woodland, 12th-century chapel) are lovely, and the interiors are quite comfortable, although beginning to get just a bit tired. If you are visiting Stratford upon Avon and have a car ! this setting is perfect ! if no car, taxis are readily available but a little pricey to and from town ! The food is absolutely faultless as is the service !!
