This was NOT a Hilton quality hotel, I checked in my FIRST room, which reeked of cigarette smoke, we then we're given a SECOND room, which smelled like someone threw up all over the place, at this point I was tired and ask for a can of air freshner, I was then given a THIRD room, all of this happened within thirty minutes of checking in, the third room was better, although the beds were not comfortable. I will commend the staff for the prompt attention to the problems, however, I would not reco... Read more

Stayed here after a long late flight home. Very welcoming staff, no problems checking in. One thing we were looking forward to was sleep, very disappointed with bed, it was extremely noisy when either of us turned or moved!! So took a while to get to sleep. Otherwise good convenient place to stay and park.

Booked as a airport hotel and would have been very disappointed if it was for anything else. The restaurant was totally under staffed even though it was a Bank holiday weekend. Not something which should ever catch out a hotel, where its restaurant would presumably not suffer from "walk in trade" and have a helpful list of how busy they will be well in advance, not to mention the fact it was a bank holiday which are helpfully predictable in their timing and arrival. I'm not suggesting that i... Read more

I guess it is an ok hotel for one night before your early morning flight but there were a couple of things that other guests should be aware of: We tried to check in to a family room at 15:40 only for it not to be ready. We were invited to take a drink in the bar whilst we waited, I did negotiate for this to be on the house, rightly so I felt. The other issue was when we tried to order room service, only to get a trainee answer the phone who hardly spoke English and didn't have a menu in fr... Read more

Rather disappointing experience. The room was clean but it could use some renovation. Everything seemed a bit tired and outdated. There is no minibar in the room and they don't even offer a bottle of water on arrival. I suppose you could use room service but it's more hassle. You have to pay for the car park and breakfast is not included in the price of the room. Most surprising though was the fact they charge you for the shuttle bus to the airport terminal. We were flying out of Stan.. airport on an early flight so chose the Hilton nearby to help expedite matters. The first thing we realized was the airport shuttle costs three pounds a person so in all we were expected to pay 12 pounds (over 20 dollars) to get to the hotel and back to the airport in the morning. The shuttle driver does just that - drive, so no help with luggage if needed. That made me wonder if we had chosen well because two other hotels nearby did not charge. We were greeted by a ... We stayed at this hotel ahead of a flight. After a busy day's working we went down to the restaurant at about 9.00 pm only to be told that they were very busy and could not provide anything to eat for at least 45 minutes. This also included bar food and sandwiches ie nothing at all. Good hotel, nice rooms and nice reception staff but take your own food if you plan to arrive after about 8.30 pm.

There's no such thing as a standard Hilton, there's way too much variation among them. They only thing you can really count on is their pretty decent club sandwich. This Hilton is a budget hotel. Semi spacious rooms, average beds (bit creaky and wobbly), no sockets near bed head end, lousy wifi. I do have to add that the woman at reception when we checked in close to midnight was honestly welcoming and went out of her way to get us some hot food that late.

This Hilton hotel is great for those traveling on the go it is clean the rooms are very nice, my only problem is that the beds although were comfy but you could tell the have been used a lot by the springs in the mattresses making a lot of noise. The breakfast was a bit on the cold side but again a very good choice that caters for every one. Again this hotel is a great stopover for someone who is traveling.

I've stayed here on a few occasions, and I have to say I think they've nailed it. The rooms and staff have always been great, and the completed new reception is tidy. The last visit had a new restaurant offering which had some wrinkles, but they've been ironed out with this last visit and I was more than happy with my meal. One request, some decent English ales in the bar would give guests from abroad something different to experience with their stay in England.

When you arrive at a hotel late in the evening and just want to grab a bite to eat before getting your head down, ready for an early start, the last thing you want is for your food to arrive in your tired, run down and ill-stocked room a whole hour after it was ordered - and, then, for it to be almost cold. During that hour and whilst watching a TV picture that is so snowy that it looks like a blizzard has hit the screen, finding that there is only one mug in the double room and that one of the... Your greeted by a chlorine smell in the lobby from the hotls swimming pool. The rooms are standard basic, ours had hairs left in the bath and the air con was loud. Hotel is great freindley staff clean rooms. The downside the car park is abysmil, Poorly lit next to no markings where you can or cannot park?. Car park is used by various companys Besides hilton hotel. Some of the companys use traps on Car park floor you can drive over and they let you in to car park but they then Spring up and you then cant get your car out of car park!. When you drive in to a parking lot its your first veiw of the hotel!. Stanstead hilton is great provided you dont take a car... Read more

I stayed here recently and had a great stay! Firstly prior to arriving I had a few questions and everything was quickly answered by email which was appreciated. The main reason I stayed here rather then others in the area was the Spa/Steam room and Sauna.. (more so the Sauna!) .. After a long flight the day before and another the next day I wanted to leave completly refreshed and relaxed! On arriving to the airport quickly found the hotels shuttle bus and taken to the hotel. Check-in was qui... Read more

Hilton Stanstead is based at Stansted Airport. There is a large car park on site, plus a Hilton shuttle bus, leaving every 30mins, to take you to departures, only 5-8 mins away. The hotel has a resturant and bar, serving a reasonable selection of food. Leo the waiter and Gobi at the bar, was very nice. Breakfast is from 4am, which was perfect, as we had an early flight. They have a good selection and quality items on the buffet The Reception Supervisor, Marta was very welcoming, helpful and en... Read more

I stay here fairly frequently when I work in the area. Reasonable standard, clean ish, reception efficient ish. BUT! The breakfast standard has gone from good to really terrible. Today was the last straw. Ran out of white bread, eggs were half cooked , bacon was the cheapest quality and undercooked, but the icing on the cake were the raw, yes RAW, sausages. Unhealthy grey on the outside and bright pink on the inside. Are you trying to poison us? Try the Radisson - that's where we're going...

Stayed the night before our early flight. Hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. When getting inside the reception was clean and modern and the check in was quick and friendly. Finding the room was easy and was as you would expect of a chain hotel, which isn't a bad thing. Double room was good size, clean and had all amenities. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower. Didn't use any facilities but they looked decent when I walked past. You have to pay £3 per person each way for tra... Read more

Felt that standard rooms were small and rather overpriced. Brown stain on carpet didn't look great. Shower head came off during shower flooding the bathroom. Shower head was replaced same day. No laundry service at weekends which was a bit of a problem for us. Bed was comfortable and slept well. Staff very helpful

22/11/16. Breakfast at this hotel is spot on, genuinely had one of the best omelets this morning. Food is always fresh, chef was very accommodating. Waitress was lovely too, always had a smile on her face which is nice to see.

Only commenting on the breakfast as I am a living well member. Been coming years.... But yesterday was the first time I have had a breakfast. I can thoroughly recommend the breakfast it was one of the best I have had. The scrambled egg was just like you would make at home all light and fluffy. Not the solid type where you have to cut off a slice! Can recommend the muffins too. The breakfast chef is a really nice guy tall but lovely!!!

Exceptional staff, very clean and comfortable room with everything that you need for the night. Great food at the restaurant and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice at the hot and cold buffet bar. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if using the airport. The shuttle bus service to the terminal is good and runs on time.

Booked this hotel as part of an overnight stay plus parking prior to flying out from stanstead. Modern rooms, rather small but functional. Had drinks and food from the bar. Service quick, expensive but expected that. Used shuttle bus in the morning, cost £3.00 each way. Would definitely recommend.

Hilton London Stansted Airport is located just 2 miles from Stansted airport, which is just 5 minutes drive by car. Complimentary bus shuttles operate to the hotel from the airport almost every 30 minutes, starting from 0415 hrs till midnight. The hotel is probably the nearest one to the airport and goes by the Hilton standards. It is located close to the highway but has no places to shop or eat in the vicinity. The reception is standard size, cheerfully lit and with 3 check in desks and a lo... Read more

Stayed here for off airport parking and had a quick and efficient check in. Room was what you would expect, clean with basic amenities. Used the bar on our night stay and ordered a round of drinks and was amazed when I ordered a Jack Daniels with diet coke I was charged for a double measure and not sure I actually got a double. Shuttle service to the terminal in the morning was excellent and efficient so overall for what I was expecting I got what I paid for.;

Booked this Hotel for an early flight to Prague We felt that being close to the airport would be helpful and we would be able to park and start our journey though early refreshed and ready to travel Not the case I'm afraid!!! It seems that although we only booked one night with five nights parking this Hotel seems to think its ok to put us in an inferior room!! Infact they decided to put us in the room with an adjoining room attached clearly should have been left for a family! Subsequently we w... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night because we had to catch an early flight the next day from Stansted Airport. The hotel is very well located and they have a bus shuttle every 30 minutes from/to the airport. You just need to pay £3 per person for the shuttle. The room is a standard airport hotel room, it was decent and clean. The restaurant is cozy and they served a real good food, my husband had a steak and I had fish & chips, both are very good. We will definitely come back here wheneve... Read more

My first time at this hotel, it was easy to find and despite it seeming to be alongside the runway of Stansted, I can honestly say you cannot hear a plane take off. This was a nice little overnight treat as I was working locally. The food is good quality and plentiful. The cider at £4 a pint is cheaper than most bars. The rooms are basic and in need of a refresh. The bathroom tiles were cracked, sanitaryware, bath and toilet are looking old and worn. The bed, mattress and pillows are perfect. T... Read more

Normally booking a room with the Hilton brand you would expect a higher end experience. This Hilton is certainty lacking in this department. It has a bar which which is extremely overpriced, and small gym. The breakfast was the best thing about the trip, everything else wasn't bad, but was strictly average.

Bus from the airport is £3 each one way. Check in was swift and efficient. Room is average size. Comfortable bed and not much noise during the night or early morning. Shower over bath was ok. Bathrooms are a bit tired now and could do with a refurb soon. TV reception is a bit weak. Swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi lovely but sometimes a bit noisy with the children's swimming lessons in the small pool. The food is the restaurant is outstanding as always.
