We booked a long weekend via BA Holidays and choose The Revere. Overall impression was good, the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Particular mention to Alex in the restaurant and Tony in the Bar. Decor is a bit worn in areas and gives off a being stuck in the 1970s, The outside Pool area is a very nice quiet Courtyard reminding you of Spain. The breakfast Buffet was excellent. Dinner in the Candlelight Restaurant was wonderful, Steak Diane flambeed in front of us was ... Read more

Definitely full of character! Rooms are clean..beds comfy...bed linen good. Interior reflects the style of property so don't expect a boutique style interior but then you can see that from the hotel pictures. Enjoy the charm! Ensuite clean with complimentary soap/shampoo.....bathroom small but adequate with bath and shower in room we had...not power shower but works fine and plenty of hot water..just need to be patient . Staff were all very helpful and courteous ..couldn't fault the service we ... Read more

From the photos showing the old stone frontage I'd expected this hotel to be more like a French chateau set in its own grounds, so was surprised to find it tucked up a side street, and a busy one at that. But it's well located just off the sea front (turn up by the Grand Hotel)and a good base for travelling around the island. Inside it's quite dark but full of character and antiquities and the staff are very pleasant, polite and helpful. As others have stated there's no lift so there's quite a b... Read more

This is a noisy hotel set on a very noisy street. We had a room on the front of the hotel and as various reviewers have said, you get woken every morning at 6.30 by the bin men. It is therefore impossible to sleep past then and is impossible to have the windows open so it means suffering in a cramped hot room. The room itself was awful, the carpet was frayed especially at the door creating a trip hazard, there were water damage stains above the window, the sills had peeling paint and the net ... Read more

Very different quaint hotel. Brilliant staff always cheerful. Mathieu the general manager could not have been more helpful and co operative.Although we didn't eat in restaurant for dinner we heard plenty of good reviews....we preferred to explore local area. The breakfast was 5 star had everything you wanted and plenty of it.Would highly recommend and would stay in hotel again. :-)

We chose this hotel after reading some very good reports on Trip advisor. The Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts Unfortunately i think we must have stayed in a different hotel. The dining room was very dark and dreary. We did not eat in the restaurant on an evening because the menu never had anything on we would have ordered, the set menu was too many courses for us and the a la carte nothing appealed to us. The nearby restaurants were difficult to get into as you needed to have... Read more

Anyone looking for a really lovely friendly hotel, with fantastic food and staff in Jersey, this is the place to stay. It is 5 minutes walk from the bus stop that serves the airport and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town or take the bus at the end of the road. I can't wait to go back.

Really nice hotel, needs updating a bit, but on the whole ok, the food was outstanding, as were the staff, they couldn't be more helpful. However there is a downside to this hotel there is no lift, we were on the 4th floor too! It's hard work if you are older to climb the stairs, especially after a day out. The other downside is that apart from a pianist twice a week, there is no entertainment, we were talking to some people at the airport, and they had a quiz night etc at their hotel so maybe ... My wife and I spent a week here, 18.06 to 25.06. Overall, a slightly depressing place due to the poor/low energy lighting within a lot of the hotel, especially within the dining area. Our room was an average size for this type of hotel. The staff were very polite, helpful and always willing to advise. Breakfast was generally plentiful and well prepared. We did not dine otherwise within the hotel, preferring the differing local 'eateries'. An overall refurb'redecoration would help this place.

The staff were all very friendly. The hotel is very attractively decorated. Friendly atmosphere. We'd certainly stay again and recommend to friends. The only downside is the hotel is down a side street (off the sea front) and therefore no sea views or anything attractive. However, there are plenty of beautiful restaurants very close and the seafront is minutes away - what's the problem?!!

Food good both at breakfast and in the evening. No lift a distinct disadvantage. Bathroom showers need care as not easy to regulate!! Public rooms very dark and strangely decorated in medieval furnishings/country Mediterranean!! However staff very helpful and polite. Bedroom quite spacious and well furnished. Bed comfortable.

Arrived Monday 28th June. Checked out today July 4th. Came with my friend and our two 17 year old daughters who competed at Fort Regent dance World Cup. Our room numbers were 75 and 41. I have to say we were all extremely pleased with the facilities. I have travelled many countries and must say there are always one or two staff who may not be very pleasant. That's not the case at the revere every staff member makes such an effort we loved spending time at the hotel and meeting up with frie... Read more

The Revere is a five minute walk from the centre of St Helier and three minutes from the sea front. The interior design is quirky with a bar front made from carved wood from a Spanish galleon and with timbered ceilings and low lighting in the dining room. Breakfast was substantial with a reasonable choice. The bedrooms wander haphazardly around the upper floors and there is no lift. Ours was well equipped with a large wardrobe, ironing board, tea/coffee making facility and a modern well equipped... Read more

We just returned from a weeks holiday in Jersey at the Revere Hotel the location of the hotel is brilliant within walking distance of beach town etc. The staff at the hotel were exemplary and deserve all the praise they get. The food was superb like dining with master chef every night! We would recommend this hotel if you want to be comfortable and relaxed but bear in mind it is very old building so not really modern amenities if that's what you are looking for.

Had 4 different rooms during the weeks stay. Every one unique with their own charm. Comfy beds and pillows made the stay home from home. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is from a different era. Beautifully quaint. Lovely snug area for catching up someone comfortable after a long day. Not suitable for those who find stairs difficult (this wasn't an issue for us). If you want something unique with charm character and a homely feel, this is the place for you. We had 5 nights at the Revere which is fairly central with the bus station and main shopping areas only 5 minutes away. There are also several good restaurants down the same street so if you don't want to walk far at all this is the place for you. Staff were helpful and jovial and were happy to book a couple of trips for us. Our room was an adequate size and overlooked the courtyard. It was very warm though even with the window wide open as we were effectively enclosed. The room was a bit old an... Read more

Didn't stay at the hotel but walked visited the restaurant on the off chance. The restaurant is very old fashioned, quiet (very quiet) background music, spacious candlelight tables, excellent service a real example of how to provide good customer services. The quality of the food was excellent and a good range to choose from. Really pleased to have discovered this restaurant- if I visit Jersey again this will be on the top of my list for a meal.

I don't write many reviews but feel I should write something about this lovely hotel, the staff are so friendly and made us feel so welcome it felt like they had known us for ages, my husband is gluten free and it can be quite difficult to find any where to eat but was not a problem at all with the hotel and resturant staff, a lovely lady ( I'm so sorry I can not to remember her name) came to us each night to talk us through the menu and alter it if needed, this was also the same at breakfast ... My Wife And myself, enjoyed a lovely 11 days at the Revere. We had a brilliant sized room no 57, really comfortable in all respects. Only downside was some noise in the evenings from Dorans as our windows overlooked their courtyard. Apart from that we had a great stay. The staff were great. And Alex in the restaurant was lovely. We would love to return next year.

The room was great, jacuzzis bath, service ok, breakfast COLD, they ran out of orange juice and that was it, no more when it is gone then it is gone. the outdoor pool is as big as my bath. The bed was terrible, very lumpy and gave me a poor nights sleep, I will not return to this hotel

Restaurant general menu was extremely good value especially supported by the quality of the food service and presentation. The restaurant Manager Alexandria Baditoiu was most welcoming and professional. The menu and available selection was good. The steaks were of an extremely high standard cooked to perfection. Just back fom a weeks stay at this hotel. Nice clean hotel with pleasant staff. The room I stayed in was No 56, which had a street view and a lot of character with a four poster bed , but a bit dark ( would benefit with reading lights at bedside ). The bathroom of decent size had shower over the bath which had a good flow of water and the temperature was easy to adjust . The breakfast was nice with a good selection of hot and cold food. It was warm in St. Helier and my room was very warm too. Unfortunately an open window at night didn't cool it off very much. The seagulls made a lot of noise very early every morning. Of course you can expect that, so near to the sea, but they made noises I had never heared before. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet had a lot of choice: english or continental. For exploring the city of St. Helier or a walk along the bay, the hotel is ideal. The TV had a very bad signal, so that... Read more

Stayed at the Revere for a week in early August. The hotel staff in all areas of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We stayed B&B and there was plenty of choice of hot and cold food at the buffet breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for exploring both the island and St Helier. There are a few good restaurants on the same road if you want to venture out in the evening - however I would recommend booking if you plan to use them as they always fill up.

We were in room 24 for a week and were kept awake by the noise from the bar below until 11.30 at the earliest up to 12.30 depending on how many people decided to stay up for a drink. The curtains were stained, the carpet old and only hoovered once while we were there.
