We booked a long weekend via BA Holidays and choose The Revere. Overall impression was good, the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Particular mention to Alex in the restaurant and Tony in the Bar. Decor is a bit worn in areas and gives off a being stuck in the 1970s, The outside Pool area is a very nice quiet Courtyard reminding you of Spain. The breakfast Buffet was excellent. Dinner in the Candlelight Restaurant was wonderful, Steak Diane flambeed in front of us was ... Read more

From the photos showing the old stone frontage I'd expected this hotel to be more like a French chateau set in its own grounds, so was surprised to find it tucked up a side street, and a busy one at that. But it's well located just off the sea front (turn up by the Grand Hotel)and a good base for travelling around the island. Inside it's quite dark but full of character and antiquities and the staff are very pleasant, polite and helpful. As others have stated there's no lift so there's quite a b... Read more

This is a noisy hotel set on a very noisy street. We had a room on the front of the hotel and as various reviewers have said, you get woken every morning at 6.30 by the bin men. It is therefore impossible to sleep past then and is impossible to have the windows open so it means suffering in a cramped hot room. The room itself was awful, the carpet was frayed especially at the door creating a trip hazard, there were water damage stains above the window, the sills had peeling paint and the net ... Read more

We chose this hotel after reading some very good reports on Trip advisor. The Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts Unfortunately i think we must have stayed in a different hotel. The dining room was very dark and dreary. We did not eat in the restaurant on an evening because the menu never had anything on we would have ordered, the set menu was too many courses for us and the a la carte nothing appealed to us. Anyone looking for a really lovely friendly hotel, with fantastic food and staff in Jersey, this is the place to stay. It is 5 minutes walk from the bus stop that serves the airport and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town or take the bus at the end of the road. I can't wait to go back.

Really nice hotel, needs updating a bit, but on the whole ok, the food was outstanding, as were the staff, they couldn't be more helpful. However there is a downside to this hotel there is no lift, we were on the 4th floor too! It's hard work if you are older to climb the stairs, especially after a day out. The other downside is that apart from a pianist twice a week, there is no entertainment, we were talking to some people at the airport, and they had a quiz night etc at their hotel so maybe ... My wife and I spent a week here, 18.06 to 25.06. Overall, a slightly depressing place due to the poor/low energy lighting within a lot of the hotel, especially within the dining area. Our room was an average size for this type of hotel. The staff were very polite, helpful and always willing to advise. Breakfast was generally plentiful and well prepared. We did not dine otherwise within the hotel, preferring the differing local 'eateries'. An overall refurb'redecoration would help this place.

The staff were all very friendly. The hotel is very attractively decorated. Friendly atmosphere. We'd certainly stay again and recommend to friends. The only downside is the hotel is down a side street (off the sea front) and therefore no sea views or anything attractive. However, there are plenty of beautiful restaurants very close and the seafront is minutes away - what's the problem?!!

The Revere is a five minute walk from the centre of St Helier and three minutes from the sea front. The interior design is quirky with a bar front made from carved wood from a Spanish galleon and with timbered ceilings and low lighting in the dining room. good central location although overall area is very poor and run down. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good, well cooked and wide variety. The establishment left a lot to be desired. The furnishings carpets and rugs in the communal areas were filthy .Room was very sparse and pokey, 2 single twin beds with very little floor space. Restaurant was expensive for what you got, ok sized portions for females but certainly not males. The stairs were an issue, being in my late 60's I didn't need ... Read more

Stayed in the Revere for 4 nights with the good lady, as over to Jersey to watch the rugby. Great location with easy stroll into town and or waterfront. Had an absolute superb steak dinner in the main Candlelight restaurant and an equally exquisite dinner in the sister Doran's Courtyard Bistro. Breakfasts were also very good. Service top notch. Whole place is a bit quirky but with character. However the bedrooms and en-suites need updating and no aircon, which for me in a hot September was not g... Read more

We were very looked after here. The chateaubriand was awesome, waitresses well trained and very pleasant. The gin and tonic was well stirred and chilled to perfection. Cosy little nooks to enjoy your coffee and yes another wee large gin

The Revere is an interesting hotel. The location is great- a short walk from everything and very central. The rooms are somewhat unique. The moment you walk in to the hotel you feel like you are in the 70s- the decor is very chintz, it is antiquated, but all in a good condition. It was my birthday and so I believe we were upgraded. The room was very large, but just not our style, and had a few faults including a window that leaked, and a door that had to have a chair pushed up against it ... Read more

Very clean, great food, smart and efficent service, a most enjoyable experience. The atmosphere from all staff was very pleasant and welcoming. My wife and I were first time trippers to Jersey and from the time we exited the airport in Jersey and boarded the bus for the 30 minute trip to St Helier at an incredible cost of £2 it was smiles allround. We stayed 4 nights and loved every minute of our stay.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights and found the hotel to be really lovely. Very centrally located to the town and Elizabeth castle, plenty of restaurants within walking distance too. Breakfast was really good, food was hot and plenty of choice with cereals and croissants.

We have stayed in many hotels in Jersey and rate this hotel as one of the best. We liked it so much, that we are returning very soon.

The hotel was very convenient to the town. All of the staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The Candlelight restaurant was outstanding and can also recommend their sister restaurant next door; Doran's. My wife and I would certainly stay again.

I chose this hotel for a weekend stay and was very pleased I did. It's in an excellent location, being a five minute walk to the Esplanade and less than 10 minutes to the bus station, although the airport bus stops on the Esplanade, saving the walk in. It's also walking distance from the cinema complex. The welcome was friendly and the porter (whose name I didn't catch) personally went to see if my room was ready. The first floor room was a good size for a solo traveller, although a couple mig... Read more

Over the past 40 years I have visited this Hotel I was disappointed with the standards, breakfast was cold/slightly warm - good selection but too much food in warmers. Dinner - the cauliflower was raw. Otherwise, room nice, reception nice, but slip in standards in dining room. Complained but no redress nor change.

Hotel is in prime position to visit all areas of Jersey.Bus terminus is only a short walk away,so leave your your car behind and let the buses take the strain. If you like walking, there are plenty of coastal and varied terrain walks to do.A visit to the museum in St.Helier is well worth a visit

This was my second stay at the Revere. Its location is perfect; comfortable; friendly and attentive staff. I was visiting with other members of the family for a funeral. A sad time but the staff were understanding and accommodating which helped the situation and was appreciated by the family. Hope to visit again under happier circumstances.

I had a great stay at the Revere, really comfortable and relaxing hotel, all the staff were friendly. The choice foe breakfast was brilliant, I'm a vegetarian but there was plenty to choose from. The bar is great for relaxing in and the hotel is in a really good location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel has a lovely feel to it. Excellent location, Elizabeth Castle is just at the bottom of the street. Also very close to the shopping centre and bus station. Although the hotel has its own restaurant I didn't try it but there are some very good restaurants on the same street. There is a good choice on the 'help yourself' breakfast. Lots of stairs to my bedroom on top floor, not sure if there is a lift. Hotel decor is charming, but rooms are small and basic.

Stayed for 4 days last week and thought this was a delighful hotel, full of character and quirky little areas. In a fantstic St Helier location set off the main drag in Kensington Rd.. it is quite relaxing and peaceful. It has lots of little nook and crannies.. that are worth investigating to find an area that suit you best. The staff are friendly, unobtrusive and helpful. Have already mentioned the cleanliness of the room and early morning noise. The majority of staff were very helpful and were happy to give us extra milk each day as we are avid tea drinkers! Toiletries were also topped up which doesn't always happen. Our meal at Doran's bistro was absolutely delicious.

Staff are absolutely amazing at the Revere. They are so helpful and polite. Breakfast is good and the food in the Doran Courtyard Bistro is sublime. Only slight issue was room as it was exceptionally hot. A fan was supplied but still stifling. Shower didn't work properly but hotel were sorting after we advised them on feedback form

Again at the Revere- great Hotel! Spent a weekend in the Revere with cosy evenings and mulled wine by the fireplace. Excellent service by staff- nothing is too much and they make you feel home. Great location! only 5 minutes walking away from town and main points of interest. The perfect place for a bit of a rest this winter.

First of all... AMAZING breakfast!!! I stayed at the Revere in late September/early October and often go back there for the atmosphere and the wonderful staff which have a genuine concern for your happiness and comfort. The old word charm that you find here is not in abundance these days and the bar and chapel areas are perfect for winding down or a little romantic drink. Location wise it is perfect to walk into town, the nearby beach or heading over to Elizabeth castle. Highly recommend.
