Only been here a few hours. What a lovely place. Pleasant staff. Nice views. Room is very clean, very well laid out and there is a lift for disabled to the rooms. Still have 2 sleeps here to go but I'd come again! Lovely views from the bar area and sitting room.

The boutique hotel is set on a hill overlooking the sea at Gorran Haven and is about 5 minutes walk to the harbour from the hotel. We stayed at the hotel between Xmas and new Year. The staff were all very helpful. The rooms were luxuriously furnished as you would expect from a boutique hotel, and our room had a large comfortable bed etc. The food was great too. The only suggestions I would make (and this is being picky) is that there could be more fresh fruit available with the breakfast and th... Read more

This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed. The decor and cleanliness second to none and our large room was fantastic with large windows looking down to the sea. The meals were of a high quality with a menu suitable for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Fish and chips wonderful. Staff really attentive could not do enough. To make our stay enjoyable. All in all a great place to stay, very romantic and private -actually finding th place down quiet country roads was the hardest. Cliff w... Read more

We stayed at the Llawnroc hotel for three nights recently, dining in the restaurant for two of those. The experience was excellent throughout. The staff are perhaps the key element in this relatively new hotel's success in sleepy Gorran Haven, a few miles beyond the more famous Cornish village of Mevagissey. They were uniformly wonderful - caring, thoughtful and helpful - topped perhaps by a stunning performance from the chefs providing an amazing, high-quality array of dinners (venison loin, ... We went here for the New Year package and as it was a long way for us we also stayed the night before as well on a D.B.B. All the staff are young but we were very well looked after throughout our visit. The staff were courteous and polite at all times. The chef has to be mentioned because the meals were outstanding. All in all a really enjoyable break and just the sort of New Year we wanted which was to just enjoy a quiet break without having dancing and live entertainment included.

We have just arrived home from spending the New Years weekend at the Llawnroc hotel, and what a delightful experience it was, the whole New Years package was a hit from start to finish for ourselves, daughter and son-in-law. No loud false gaiety, just a great atmosphere, wonderful food, (the New years eve meal was especially noteworthy our thanks to the chef who did a great job), pleasant service from the young waiting team, comfortable lounge area's, beautiful spotlessly clean and well kept bed... Don't be put off with the journey to the hotel it's well worth it. Beautiful room immaculately presented and the bed was so comfortable. Came across this hotel on Hotels.com as it was only 5 miles from my client who was on business down in this fine part of the country. I haven't the heart to tell him my accommodation was far superior to his. The restaurant in the hotel was very good with a good menu and reasonable prices. Will definitely come again in the summer a hidden jem

We stayed here in November - which is probably not the best time to come to Cornwall but it was at least quiet. ;) Rooms were generous, nicely decorated and with good bathrooms. A bath! Lovely. There was a welcome gift on our bed when we arrived and a personalised note, both of which were great touches. We didn't eat here other than the breakfast - which was fabulous the first day (Eggs Benedict, nom,) and they were very good about my partners request for double-cooked-toast-so-its not-quit... Very nice room - huge, in fact. Small balcony that in summer would be nice to open the doors and squeeze onto. Beautiful bed and very nice surroundings. Bath and shower room very adequate. Staff in the bar were delightful as in the breakfast room. Food was excellent. Overall very pleased. The lady at reception - so sorry I don't recall her name - was superb.

I booked this hotel because it was in St Austell but soon realised it's quite a drive from the town centre and a tricky drive at that through Mevagissey a picturesque but very narrow, windey town. The Llawnroc is however in a beautiful location and really is a fabulous hotel. It's been refurbished to a very high specification with luxurious rooms and en-suite, excellent dining areas plus large tiered veranda for outdoor seating/dining. The menu was very good and food excellent at dinner and bre... Read more
