Lunch for two was to be preceeded by their well advertised cocktails, unfortunately the chosen cocktail was not as described in their menu and when questioned on the obviously wrong taste they pointed out that they didn't have one of the 3 ingredients so they doubled up on the second. They were then asked to produce a gin and tonic and having confirmed that they had the requested gin brand, they returned after 10 minutes to say they didn't have that brand after all. We don't live too far from Southport and had tickets for a show so decided to make a weekend of it with friends and stay over. We've stayed at The Vincent before so had no hesitation booking again after our previous experience. From the moment you arrive it's just perfect. All the staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are lovely, particularly like the Nespresso coffee and fresh milk in the room, nice toiletries and an extremely comfy bed. This was a surprise weekend away so until we pulled up outside the hotel I had know idea where we were going. We had been for a drink here before when staying somewhere else. First impression the very friendly doorman who sorted out parking out and took our bags to the room - didn't catch his name but local accent and was polite and very helpful during our stay. The hotel is very stylish and even the corridors and landings have nice furnishings , wallpaper etc. The room had a huge bed which was ... Read more

Once we got our room it was beautiful, the bed was huge and the room was so tidy and clean and we the staff had already took our bags up and put them away nicely. The only downside was it would of been nice to have a big bath in the room. Also my boyfriend wanted to book afternoon tea for a treat but got took you didn't need to book in advance ... Read more

Stayed at the Vincent for 3 nights this week attending a work event in Southport. The room was spotless and very comfortable, the bathroom was lovely and I was very impressed with my room. The staff extremely friendly and the food and drink were wonderful (they even let me order from a menu that should have finished a few hours earlier). Was so nice to come back after a hard day working and have a cocktail in the bar before getting a comfortable sleep - really highly recommended!

I must have stayed in the Vincent at least twice a year now for the past 5 years. I simply love this hotel, so much so I got married there after staying there for the first time. The Vincent is a super slick contemporary style boutique hotel. You can tell everything there has been carefully planned, chosen and considered. The staff are incredible and all have a passion for making your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Leanne on reception is fantastic as are the restaurant staff a... Read more

I have been a regular visitor to the Vincent over the last few years and have been a fan. My last two visits to the restaurant has shaken my faith. I have been ill after both visits and now feel very reluctant to return. Interestingly, my attempts to report these to reception in the morning were not taken very seriously. This was also the case when I got stuck in their lift for a short time. My report was greeting with incredulity. No hotel is perfect but you have to listen to feedback and trea... Read more

Quite disappointing. Customer service skills need attention....we weren't asked if everything was OK. Not enough service for drinks. The food was average...scones with cream and pots of jam....I'm sure a place of this calibre can attend more to detail. Fresh strawberry or two?? Afternoon tea...without a cup of tea???

Nice hotel. Very clean modern. Comfortable bed. Nice touch with the tea and coffee machine. Although I did think the step in the bath/shower was a little dangerous on getting out when wet. The cocktails were nice in the bar. Just a shame there were no other guests in as there, as it gave it a solitary atmosphere. Overall we had a nice stay and I would recommend this hotel.
