Last week, my friends and I decided to have a dinner in Jurys Inn in Southampton. Although we weren't guests of the hotel we were serviced in the same way everybody else. The food was good and tasty; all the staff were approachable, smiling and friendly, in particular Viviana from receptionist. She gave us a lot of information around the area as we don't live here. The hotel is central with many pubs, market, shops close by. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel on 15th May 2016. Check in and out was efficient. The room was very clean and the view we had was amazing. We managed to get a last minute deal so the price we paid was reasonable. We paid £59 for a one night stay. I think that if I had paid more for the room I would have been unhappy. The bar and food were nice and the staff very friendly and helpful.. The only downside for us was there was no onsite parking. There was parking nearby which cost £12 for 28 hours.

My husband and I stayed for only 2 nights a couple of weeks ago and our only regret was that is was not long enough. Great hotel and location. If only all jury's inns were up to this standard. Bedrooms are lovely and look new and the bathroom had everything we needed for a short break away. Everything was spotless including the restaurant. I do love a cup of tea and asked about fridges in the rooms at check in but unfortunately our room was not supplied with one. To our amazement on exiting the ... Read more

This hotel is close to the city centre and easily accessible from the M27. The staff are friendly and helpful and the accommodation is comfortable. Breakfast is delicious though served in canteen fashion; it would be better if one was ushered to a table and the serving arrangements explained.

Had a quad room for family of 4, tons of space, kids had double sofa bed and we had huge super king size which was unbelievably comfy, fantastic service throughout, staff couldn't do enough for you! Also had food in the evening in the bar (which has the same menu as the restaurant) and the food was amazing, and the deserts were to die for!! It was a one night stay after common people festival. Hotel was really keen and lovely to have the dining and bar areas. Family room was smaller than anticipated as we had 2 young children and the room provided 1 double and 1 single. We did request the extra cot bed but it wasn't put in the room for us. We were too tired to go down and request again so we managed but maybe they should reconsider promoting it as a family room with just 2 beds.. Anyway it lovely all the same and I would book agai... Will not go into great detail again as already completed long on line survey - but strongly suggest that you consider an alternative hotel in Southampton. This hotel has awful service, terrible breakfast facilities and was the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in - constant banging of room doors and really noisy people entering and leaving the rooms most of the night. We were woken up (again) at 04.35am by noisy people shouting and laughing an the children were really irate the next morning.

My company books at least 5 - 10 hotel rooms in this hotel every day and the staff make it a great choice. The ladies on reception are excellent. Carolina checked me into the hotel and I have never seen such excellent manners. I had a problem one night to watch a sports match and Viviana suggested a great solution by telephoning my room personally after I visited reception, which meant I could watch my favourite team when I thought there was no option available, not very often does this happen w... The hotel itself and the facilities are not terrible, my room was clean and comfortable but that is where it ended. Arrival by vehicle is a pain as there is no onsite parking so a quick dash to the room with bags and then find a parking spot at a pay and display, there is only space for about 4 cars in the arrivals check in layby so be prepared to drive around during busy times. Pros: Comfortable, clean, luxurious room, no problems there Cons: The restaurant could do with a visit from the Hotel Inspector. It took 45 minutes for them to bring my main (a salad), it arrived as soon as I complained but didn't contain all the ingredients it was supposed to. The couple at the next table had summoned the manager and those ordering room serivce seemed to take priority over those in the restaurant. I found Jury's Inn in Southampton challenging for a couple of reasons. It's location on the inside of a busy roundabout made arriving here quite difficult, and the underground car park was full, and seemed to be having some construction done. Secondly it seemed to be very popular with the Bucks and Hens night groups. We discovered that hallway noise was quite loud in the room, as many of these noisy groups returned in the small hours of the night. The breakfast buffet was good, with great range,... Read more

We have stayed here several times before and found the hotel and the staff great. We stay the night before our cruise and the hotel is in the perfect position - near the train station and near to the port. We certainly start our holiday here - evening meal, sound sleep and breakfast. The food choices are very good and very well cooked and presented and taste delicious.

Excellent service, spacious room, super comfortable king-size twin beds and comforters. However, my daughter and i found the hamburgers we ordered for lunch too dry, not at all tasty and not worth our money. Too bad! But it did not at all affected our overall high appreciation. I just hope the chef will improve the quality. It's quite practical to have a restaurant/café in a hotel.

Considering the price of the room, amenities were poor. No radio, clothesline, refrigerator for our insulin, safe for our valuables (having to put them in/out of a safe at reception was a nuisance) or folder giving details of the hotel's amenities. Poor selection of pamphlets for travellers in reception area. Excellent latte in café and polite and obliging staff.

It was just for a night. But it was a very nice time. The check in took a little time, but it was okay. The location is very good. You can easily reach central spots of the city. Parks nearby are always a plus.

Our first time at a Jury's Inn Southampton, in part to making a late booking for a Paultons Park break. Managed to get the car unloaded, checked in and stuff in the room very quickly, the staff doing this to avoid any fines for parking in the service bays when taxis and minibuses clog the loading and drop off point. I used Bedford Place multistory for my stay, at weekends there were plenty of spaces to be had, might be different for a weekday. Charges were reasonable as I wasn't leaving the ca... Read more

The hotel is fine. Its location is good for going into the town centre, as well as walking up to the Common/University. Dropping your luggage off here can be a nightmare, though, as there are only three or four spaces outside and these tend to be blocked by taxis and service vehicles. The main drawback is the price, quite steep for what it is.

Stayed at the jury's inn in Southampton sat 30th July.this was our third stay at this hotel.first two times we loved this hotel.but this trip I was not impressed.to start off we pick the hotel because of the underground car park and the closeness to the town.when we arrived we went to the car park and found it to be closed.we didn't know where else to park so my partner went in to reception and asked where to park.the receptionist was of no help and told him to find a public car park.we unloaded... Well my husband booked me and my wee one a room for night before our wedding day. We requested for a double room with a sofa bed for a little one. But we got a small room with a very high bed. I phoned so many times at night from our room and in the morning to request some bits and pieces for my little one but no one seemed to bother to answer in the reception. I feel stuck in the room with my little one sleeping... It's a good thing I got a friend who is in the other floor that phoned the recep... Read more

Rooms were great, fantastic space, great view of the city and modern, clean and in a good state of maintenance. However the restaurant was terrible, the food was so disappointing. Had two courses, the first was supposed to be some kind of rustic deli board in fact it was just a slate with processed watery ham and salami with a tough old bit of bread. The main was meant to be a herb crusted butterflied chicked with slaw but was in fact a dried out, re-heated lump of disappointment with chewy chip... Read more

We stayed one night while visiting friends locally. Reception were friendly both on arrival and departure, and the room we were given was extremely spacious and clean for the four of us (2 adults and two children). Quiet during the night and the main bed was huge! Breakfast was ok. Nothing adventurous but definitely kept us going for the day. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Southampton and would recommend it highly.

Situated on a roundabout with a small lay-by to drop your luggage off - then another postcode to enter into the sat nav to find the car park, which turns out to be a 10 minute walk away. Not much fun in the rain. I was booked in for three nights and checked out after one. Check in super slow (like in Liverpool Jury's Inn), not enough bar staff to serve the seasonally large amount of people in the bar. Room clean enough though and had a good nights sleep. Glad I was able to book somewhere else fo... Read more

Like a lot of City hotels parking is non existant so a walk to nearby car parks is compulsory. The hotel is situated in the middle of a roundabout which is certainly different but actually does not make a differance once inside, the bedrooms are ample size, clean and the beds are really quite comfortable. My usual complaint with most hotels like this is the room is too hot and needs the noisy aircon on to stay cool, but it did work work. All in all a decent place to stay for a few nights.

T.he Verdict: Our main reason to stay here was because it was very near to the port as we were going on a short cruise trip the next day. Although that was our main reason for the stay, I'm very pleased we did! As the hotel is situated centrally to the town etc, parking isn't available at the grounds. There are spaces to pull in and drop off/pick up guests but not to stay longer than 10 minutes or so. A multi-storey car park is recommended by the receptionist which isn't too far away. It's re... We booked this hotel for an overnight stay, booked through peppa pig world. The hotel itself was fine, if a little worn in places. The issue was with the car parking situation. The hotel has a loading bay as the car park is located away from the hotel, however this is only two spaces with lots of guests arriving at the same time with young children and lots of luggage. It is situated in the middle of a busy roundabout and nowhere to stop, which made for a very stressful arrival. Also, conside... Read more

3rd time using jury's Southampton for cruise parking. Best stay yet, rooms have been upgraded now modern and stylish from previous years. Value for money is exceptional for family of 4 people and 2 wks parking which is through an excellent family run business. I would stay here again if the toilet and restaurant cleanliness was better as it is a good location to the park and shops etc plus not far to go to the docks for our cruise. The park had a good children's paly area for my Granddaughter, but the high street had a lot of evidence of homeless people sleeping rough, which was disappointing.

Stayed here for one night with my wife. We have used the hotel before on more than one occasion. Although some refurbishment has been done to rooms there are areas which now lok tired and dated, mainly the bar and dining area. Our main problem was a noisy fan or extractor which cut in at unpredictable times during the night meaning we had very disturbed sleep and felt exhausted the following day. Jurys Inn is a comfortable hotel. The room is clean, the bed comfy and the air con works - all of which help towards getting a good night's rest when travelling on business.
