There was nothing particularly memorable about this experience, however I mean that as a good thing. After a long day it is nice to arrive somewhere that you can relax an unwind without having to think too much. The check in was easy, staff were friendly. The room was a good size and there were all the Hilton usuals you expect (good towels, slippers, free bottled water, jelly beans etc...). The Hilton Southampton is well located only 10 minutes away from the airport by car. It could do with some refurbishing, but the room was big, clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not the standard Hilton breakfast and they did not serve any cheese, no bread rolls (only sliced bread) and not too much fruit. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I'm a regular traveller to Hilton hotels with whom I hold a diamond status with. This is a standard Hilton hotel so for regular travellers it will be very familiar. The points that make it stand out in my opinion are listed below: Positives: The internet connection is very good. When on business travel I like to play online games with my girlfriend/friends and having stable internet access is a must for this. I've had no problems playing games at this hotel. What a weird location. Somewhere out of Southampton sandwiched between two noisy m roads. You certainly don't get much bang for your buck in the UK. We booked an executive room and I had to call reception to check we were in the right room. Luckily it was a friends wedding so we didn't spend long in our room. Breakfast was the only redeeming feature.

The Hotel is in a pretty bad shape overall, and the room I received last week did not make this better: Toilet Flush not working, phones not working, battery in TV remote empty, and a really bad smell in the room overall. Breakfast is ok, but not great, and it's a bit of a gamble if you get coffee within the first five minutes or not. I will be staying here again this week since the location is convenient - I will therefore find out if last week was just an exception.

This was quite a pleasant cream tea although there could have been more sandwiches. I think that there should be four quarters, The fillings could have been more interesting and the crusts should have been cut off. The scones were very small, but quite tasty. There was just enough jam and cream. The cakes were very nice. The tea pots and cups were quite small and I always think it is nice if more tea is offered. We booked as we were attending my daughter's graduation the following day. The hotel is quite large and has a nice bar/restaurant area. The room, we had, was fairly large and well fitted out. Amenities are good as you would expect of a Hilton. Breakfast was allright with a good selection of English breakfast items; toast, bacon, eggs, sausages. All in all a good place to stay overnight, but you really need to have a car, as the location is away from the centre, just at the M3 exit.

Very busy reception and although the staff are working hard long queues to check in and check out. Breakfast worst I have ever had in in a hotel However Dinner amazing... Rooms lovely and clean and the bed really was lovely and I slept well.

This was the third time we have stayed overnight at the Southampton Hilton, leaving our car for two weeks whilst on a cruise from Southampton docks. The hotel will arrange transport either by individual taxis or by coach, depending on the numbers on the particular cruise. The cost of B&B, the car parking and the hotel-docks transport, is all included in the package. Our room was comfortable with all the usual Hilton facilities. We chose to take dinner at the hotel the evening of our arrival and ... Read more

Booked through late rooms as there was a good deal AND a leisure centre. Arrived and looked for the pool. The leisure centre is under refurbishment so we were told! That was the reason for booking here!!! The room was fine, comfortable and had everything we required. Booked for dinner, wish we hadn't. Well done steak was medium but definately more on the rare side. Sent it back and waited an age to get it back. I'd finished eating by the time my companion got his steak. Ordered a cold dessert an... Read more

We stayed here on the way to our cruise ship. The hotel is being refurbished so there was a little work going on. The bathroom was very new and excellent. The food was good and staff efficient and friendly. Only 1 little niggle, not enough staff in the bar late afternoon so waited a long time to be served. Used the app to check in its very user friendly.

A standard corporate hotel, extremely difficult to find due to road access ( look carefully at the map) the signposts are difficult to see. The hotel is well pointed, clean and pleasing but lacking in any character and a long way from any attractions. Its position, which should make it very accessible, makes it noisy with traffic noise whenever you venture outside, although inside is perfectly quiet. The service was slow and disjointed when I stayed and there appeared to be a lack of staff espec... On the positive side are the large and clean rooms. The lounge/bar area is spacious and has lots of nice areas to sit in small or larger groups. The breakfast was good with a large choice of items. However, the hotel service was awful. The restaurant service was slow, unfriendly, unapologetic and the food varied from poor to average. The bar service was slow, partly because the barman didn't know how to serve port and because he was dealing with complaints from others. Finally, the reception h... Read more

Stayed for one night in this Hotel. Room was nice and clean and nicely decorated. First impressions count and I found the reception a little disappointing and not up to my expectations of a Hilton Hotel. I expected something more glamorous. The reception staff was very helpful . I found all the staff that I came across which included room attendants, breakfast staff and night porters to be very friendly and helpful. I found the reception , lounge and bar area to be in need of some revamping, per... Read more

As a regular Hilton guest, I booked this particular hotel because if it's location, online a day before my arrival. I also checked in online to save time on my arrival and indicated that I would be arriving late. I had a very disappointing reception by a man that seemed to take forever to allocate a room (despite my online check in) he also decided to give me a voucher for breakfast and told me I would have to pay for it! (despite booking a room with breakfast) He then made a big play about how ... Read more
