Have just returned from staying at southview, beautiful place, entertainment crew were amazing! The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were well looked after and the pool was very clean. Few complaints over the food and our accommodation which was a silver plus caravan. The fridge/freezer compartment handle was broken, stains on the carpet, the corner protectors on the bottom of the kitchen fittings were broken with nails hanging out of them, my friend actually caught h... Beautiful Park well maintained, I didn't eat in the restaurant so I cant say much about that, I've never seen a showbar like it before having stayed at a few resorts it is one of the best I've come across and the accommodation wasn't up to scratch it wasn't really clean to the standard it should have been (gold unit) the bathrooms had not been cleaned the caravan was very dusty and the inventory was dirty so I had to re clean the van myself as we did arrive late after finishing work, I do under... Myself and my husband were married here on 30th April this year. It was better than we ever could imagine! The hotel is beautiful! The grounds are immaculate and the rooms and facilities are excellent! Nothing was too much trouble, even down to me stressing over which confetti to have on my tables! Alan and Anita are wonderful. They went out of their way to look after us and all of our guests. They kept me calm as I was having last minute nerves! All the guests commented on how much they enj... Read more

Ate here on saturday night as we were staying on the caravan park and the restaurant here looked much nicer than what was available on the caravan site! We were served quickly and politely. I had fish and chips which was lovely and very well presented and then lemon meringue for dessert. We all enjoyed our meals and the portion sizes were very generous. Was also very good value as four of us had main and dessert and a soft drink each and our bill was about £60. Only reason I didn't give 5* is t... Read more

This is the 4th time we have stayed at this hotel. Always very friendly and lovely clean rooms. Rooms are spacious and very good for the price which includes passes for all the entertainment at the club house on site which my 7 year old soon loves. Plenty of free parking and only 5 min drive into Skegness itself. One thing pillows could do with being a bit firmer.

We stayed two nights, one in a standard double and then paid extra to upgrade to the Penthouse Suite. Both rooms represented good value for money, were clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. Our room on the Saturday was noisy as over a wedding but we were warned about this when we checked in and it was the last room in the hotel. Our daughter really enjoyed the swimming pool which was a big bonus when paying this sort of price for a room and we enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant... Read more

I brought my gran here as a treat for her 70th birthday. The hotel grounds were beautiful, loved the ducks! We upgraded to one of the suites which was gorgeous. The jacuzzi bath was a nice treat. However the quilt on our bed had a considerable bloody stain on! When we called reception that night there was no answer meaning we had to notify them in the morning when it was too late to rectify the issue. We went down to eat in the orangery restaurant at 7.30pm, only to be told that it was now close... Read more

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday/anniversary treat - we booked their penthouse suite as a surprise. The suite itself was clean, the four poster bed was very comfortable but unfortunately when I went out on the balcony in the morning I was extremely shocked at the state of it!!! There was remnants of a birds nest all over the balcony i.e. Nesting, feathers and very old bird bones, it was absolutely filthy which spoilt what was a nice room. The balcony obviously had not been cleaned fo... Read more

It was her 6th Birthday and wanted to go the Southview for the entertainment (day at Butlins) then evening entertainment at the park, as you get passes to go there. The receptionist was fantastic, got us extra towels, had no worries at all and we were amazed at how lovely the hotel was. Clean rooms, vry clean bed and quiet room at the back - 204. Just returned back from a 4 night stay in the named hotel with my wife. I'm disabled and I'm in a electric wheelchair. We stayed in a twin accesable room which was shown to have two double beds. When we entered our room there was 2 single beds, not big enough for a disabled person to sleep in. The hotel did sort this out and made it a double. There was no room to turn round in my wheelchair. The weekend of the wedding went very well, and enjoyed by all. BUT we personally thought the housekeeping service was poor. We went out during the day expecting room to be cleaned but the cleaners came every aftenoon quite late, and did not clean any of the floors. Room had not been dusted for some time. Also cooked breafast food was mostly cold. The evening meal in the Orangery dining room was badly presented and the battered fish was undercooked, looked and tasted disgusting. We were refunded ... Had a lovely meal in boathouse, and also the hotel restaurant, service was good too. Hotel reception very helpful, Sumat is lovely. The housekeeping staff worked hard and made our rooms lovely and clean. We have stayed before, and would not hesitate to stay again, great location, a bit of luxury with great facilities.

Myself, my wife and 2 children stayed here Thursday 21st July 16 to Saturday 23rd July 16. It was a break planned just the day before. Our family room was a double double right at the front of the hotel above the main entrance, with views of the lakes. The only (slight) downside of this location was the sliding hotel door right below us which could be heard when trying to get to sleep. As far as the family room goes it would probably be better to offer a double and a twin rather than 2 doubl... Read more

Love this hotel & surrounding caravan parks. Very scenic & security patrolled too. Rooms above average decor not to mention how comfortable beds are. No air conditioning, but come on we are in England. However, there is a powerful floor fan to cool you down on a hot, muggy English summer day. Food from restaurant is also recommended, service & quality is A1. Will definitely be returning here??

We visited Southview for my sisters wedding breakfast. As we arrived through the entrance we thought it looked lovely with waterfalls and lovely kept garden and ponds, and that were in for a good time and good food. We have been to this hotel on a number of occasions. The price is above average, yet the overall experience is below average. The most striking feature is the staff! They stand out as robotic, uncaring and non-smiling. If we could change one thing, it would be to help the staff to smile! Inconveniences included in our stay are as follows. 1. didn't realise till the last morning of our stay that there were no pillow cases. 2. very noisy neighbours arguing at around 12:30 + (the walls are thin!) ... Jay was fantastic whilst doing the jets, Amber on the water walkers and Hope on wipped out were great. First time of trying these they made him feel at ease and took time to help him. Can't give enough praise to the guy's at the center. Recommend every time.
