What a super hotel and only AA 3 star. I have stayed in 5 star hotels with worse service! It's a long long time since I have been served food beautifully presented and carefully explained to me about the source of each item on the plate. All locally sourced or as near to here as is practicable. Served a complimentary soup and foccatia before my starter. Even the truffles served with coffee were explained. Will definately stay here again.. rooms very comfortable too.

My wife and I visited Sherborne over ten years ago and decided to return and take advantage of a special deal offered by the Eastbury Hotel. A two night stay included breakfast and a seven course taster meal on the first night. The hotel is situated close to the town centre with ample free parking at the rear. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable, the toiletries high quality and the linen and towels to die for. The breakfast was expansive with lots of local produce and hot cour... Read more

My wife booked a two night break here for my Christmas present. The booking included a 7 course tasting dinner on the first night. WE had a large room and a large bathroom. Very comfortable with quality linens and towels. The staff were very friendly and made one feel really welcome. The seven course tastinf dinner was very good and to be recommended. The breakfasts were very good and cooked to order. A buffet bar had cereals, fruit & etc. Sherborne is a nice little town and the Abbey is wor... Read more

I was really looking forward to a night away in beautiful Sherborne and especially staying at the Eastbury Hotel. My husband had paid a lot of money for a one night stay and a seven course tasting menu as It was not on a special offer. The food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant were charming. But alas our room Timatrix was very dated I would not consider it as a superior room. I did ask the receptionist if we had the right room she confirmed we had. The carpet had several stains on i... How would I describe The Eastbury Hotel? As a little bit of heaven in Dorset. why did we visit the Eastbury Hotel Sherborne? to celebrate our our 36th wedding anniversary and our package included a seven course tasting menu . My husband is a vegetarian and when I booked I had asked if it would be possible to have a vegetarian seven course option and this request was fulfilled as a total matter of course - what a relief this was! Both of our seven course options were beautifully presented, t... Read more
