Stayed here for two nights with my partner. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of options!! We parked our car on the car park for the two nights and it cost us £10 for the two nights, which we was very impressed with. The staff on reception were very helpful and polite and helped us with directions, even drew us a little map.

Fairly central city centre hotel albeit a little tricky to get to from the ring road. Very clean rooms with efficient service. Breakfast was typical continental stuff with a few hot foods on offer. Parking is an extra £5. I'd use it again if I was back there.

Stayed here this week whilst away on business. Receptionist very pleasant and a credit to the hotel. My room was fine once I worked out the window had been left open which was why the air con would not come on! I had a good nights sleep and everything was clean and in good order. The only issue was breakfast. The sausages were ok, beans thankfully replaced just as I came to get some as the others looked awful but the scrambled egg was awful - it tasted like I imagine rehydrated scrambled egg wou... Stayed here 2 nights with my son, who was competing in a swimming gala at Ponds Forge. Lovely clean, quiet rooms. Our twin was a good size with lovely big shower. Breakfast was fine. Continental with a couple of hot options. Usual HI Express faire. Hotel parking £5 per night. About 40 parking spaces directly outside hotel but plenty of other options near by if full. The walk to Ponds Forge took 5 minutes.

The hotel is situated close to the city centre a short distance from the railway station and right next to the river. We chose this hotel because of its central location but still having a car park. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday evening and had no problem finding a parking space. Make sure you get there early as we heard latecomers struggled to get a space. There is an NCP next door, but it closes its gates at 10:00pm. The hotel is pretty new so everything feels fresh and clean. The bathro... Read more

Stayed here with colleagues. The evening meal menu is limited, the wine disappointing and breakfast not great. Dodgy types constantly pass through the main foyer and the girl on check out struggled to computate the bills. It wasn't awful but there are several more pleasant places to stay in Sheffield.

Very average lunch/dinner bar menu with next to nothing for no meat / no alcohol patrons. Staff and service, including front desk are poor to average and its a struggle to find someone who cares about your stay .... Upon arrival at the hotel i paid £5 for overnight parking, not too bad for a city centre hotel. I then left for the evening for work and when i returned not only was every space taken, the whole car park was rammed. There were cars parked across the yellow hashed area, on the kerb and around the edges. It would have been nice to be told this was going to be the case as I would have parked elsewhere. Hotel was fine apart from limited breakfast options, but I've been to worse.

While we didn't stay at this hotel we decided to have an evening meal with family. The staff were very polite and friendly and the four of us all decided to have fish chips and peas. Good, clean and spacious accommodation. Disappointed that they have now started charging for car parking. When I asked about this I was told that as a city centre hotel and had to charge. Hotel was very busy as there seemed to be quite a lot going on in Sheffield this weekend. Free Wi-fi better than average. Breakfast was adequate, nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. This was our first experience of a Holiday Inn and wouldnt hesitate to go back. The bed was a bit soft but otherwise the room was fine.It made a nice change to be able to regulate the room temperature as hotels often are too warm. The shower was huge and lovely and clean.Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. This hotel is very well situated for visiting Sheffield and the surrounding area.We thought it was excellent value for money.

I'd just travelled from Bolton to Sheffield as I was working in the city the next day, early morning. I'd seen on the site that the hotel was close to the place I was working therefore useful for me. The price was also decent for the location it was in too. The website offers parking, however when I arrived there was no spaces available and I had to leave my car on some cross-hatchings. The receptionist did say this would be okay however. The hotel is modern, bright and a good size. The recepti... Read more

Situated close to the town centre, a 10 minute walk to the City Hall. Friendly & helpful staff. Standard size rooms with extra large shower cubicle. One side of the hotel has a pleasant view while the other a car park. Breakfast the usual Holiday Inn Express with staff quickly replenishing. Car parking available.

Situated some way from the city centre amongst a group of anonymous-looking hotels, this is not a great location. Room was perfectly adequate, but with badly stained carpets and inadequate lighting. Afforded an excellent view of the car park and busy main road! Best point: staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Worst point: free breakfast comprises soggy croissant, grey and strangely chewy "scrambled eggs", nondescript sausages that must be from the bottom end of the value range

Very comfortable hotel and very quiet considering it is in the heart of Sheffield City Centre. I only have three negative comments. There were twin beds in my room, and there was no bacon or choice of eggs at breakfast (scrambled only) also the breakfast buffet is tucked away in the far corner of the restaurant so had to negotiate pillars and tables and chairs with my food in order to return to my seat .

Booked 4 nights here due to visiting family. The hotel may not be the best location in Sheffield but with easy access to taxi service and that being reasonably priced its not a bad hotel. You can walk into town centre, but my companion had walking issues so this was not a option. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and big and the best thing is the Shower. Biggest shower cubical I have been in in a hotel. Breakfast is good and easy self service, but with just scrambled eg... Read more
