Holiday Inns can be so variable, that is of course because they are franchises and not owned by the same people. This one is without doubt the best of the lot in the UK because....someone has bothered to train their staff as to what customer service is about. From the welcome on switchboard and reception, the bright and breezy staff in the restaurant at breakfast their friendliness and efficiency is to be applauded. The place itself looks like it has been newly refurbished our room 320 smelt of ... Read more

We stopped here on the way to Cornwall and would recommend it to anyone along this route or for visiting Stonehenge which is just down the road. The hotel is actually on a service station with a co-op garage, Harvester, McDonalds, KFC, Toby Carvery, Pizza Hut, Costa drive through and the hotel's own restaurant so there is no end of places to eat right on the hotel's doorstep! Unfortunately while we were there both lifts broke down which we were told never happens but there are only 3 floors and ... Read more

We stayed here en route to Cornwall and liked it so much we stayed again on the way home! It is an excellent hotel. The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant both times and the food was lovely, and in the evening and for breakfast the service was very good. We will certainly chose this hotel again.

I stayed here in February 2016 for a night (booked by my friend) as I was attending a wedding and the hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Their buffet breakfast was plenty and amazing! If I ever go back to that area again, I will definitely stay in this hotel one more time.

We stayed here one night to break up our drive to Devon. The rooms are nice and well decorated. The bed was ok, could have been more comfortable but ok for one night. There is a resteraunt on site and close to fast food if you have no other choices. Benefit of this hotel is that it is right off of the a303 so prime location. Only thing they could improve is the shower the water pressure was very weak. Also the room was very warm and the controls difficult to work out how to cool the room down.

Having stayed in several holiday inns this was the best one yet. We were in an executive suite, decoration beautiful, and kitted out with everything you need, felt like you were staying somewhere personal, felt warm and welcoming, nothing like your usual hotel. This hotel has very high standards and I would recommend highly, staff are welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Also situated in an ideal place for trips out. Will definitely be going back.

The staff were helpful on the whole except for one dozy waiter, the food was very good, BUT the beds were so hard I woke up with bruise on my hip the next morning! When we complained we were told that the beds were new and no one else has complained. I have a damaged spine so can't stay here again which is a pity as we were hoping to base here in the autumn for a Wiltshire 5 night stay!

We've stayed here twice now, mainly because of the proximity to Stonehenge, and both times we've been a bit disappointed by the 'family rooms' on offer. The first time, last year, we were put in a wheelchair accessible room, which was no problem except that the shower only ran boiling hot (and no bath) so was unusable for children. This time, we were put in a room that, once the sofa bed was unfolded, you couldn't even properly open the cupboard where the kettle and tea making bits were. Bearin... Read more

For the price, this hotel has far more than I expected. Lovely decor, large rooms, stunning shower room, fantastic service. I was upgraded to a better room on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. The only down side was that my wake up call via the TV didn't work and I woke up late, but I shouldn't have been relying on it. I recommend this hotel without hesitation!

We stayed here to go to the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge. The hotel is lovely and looks freshly decorated. Our room was lovely and clean and very quite. The breakfast for £10 is a bargain and has everything you could want and more. Free parking on site and only 20 mins away from Stonehenge. Karen on reception was super friendly and very helpful.

Came here for my birthday, June 21, and to see what's happening in Stonehenge with the festivities. Hotel seems new, very clean, with comfortable beds and large rooms. Efficient check-in, needed ice (for champagne bucket) and the bar obliged, offered tastings for draught beers too. Location is just a few minutes drive to Stonehenge, although the Solstice traffic was very heavy. Salisbury was very close, as was Avebury and its own Druid ruins and artifacts. Would stay again.

While a little isolated, it is very close to Stonehenge and adjacent to the A303 motorway and so makes a good place to stay if visiting Stonehenge. There is plenty of parking available. Rooms were compact but modern, clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful without exception be it in reception or the restaurant. Food was actually very good (vegetarians catered for) and we thought surprisingly good value. Recommended. (See the tip regarding room outlook.)

Basic room with no frills. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. No face washer. Discounted breakfast if paid when checking in otherwise about 40-50% more. Other places nearby offer full breakfast for about half the price. The breakfast was quite good though. Being in a tourist area means you pay a bit more for basics. Overall a good stay.

I can honestly say this is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. There were basically no negatives: spotlessly clean, really nice modern decor, bright spacious bathroom, big desk with plenty of sockets for charging things, free wifi access, firm comfortable bed with both soft and hard pillows. The receptionist stated that the hotel was "minimalistic" and she was right.. Small rooms with a bed, desk and tv. Small bathroom with good shower and large towels,, just 2 of them but you can ask for more.. Breakfast good and the restaurant is rather expensive for what you get.. serviceable at best and if you're in the area and need somewhere to stay this could suffice if you just need a bed.

We stayed here with two college-aged nieces for its proximity to Stonehenge which we planned on visiting the next day. The room was a good size, clean, and well decorated. My nieces thought the wall paper behind the beds was especially cool. We didn't have breakfast here (opting for the Costa nearby), but did check out the bar area that evening for wine and a cheese platter, which was really quite good. Most of the staff that we encountered were very friendly, and overall it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed at this hotel about three years ago, and we had a good time then, so as we were visiting this area again, we booked to stay and hoped it would be as good. Check in was effivcient and friendly, my Reward club membership was acknowledged and my request for an upgrade had been granted! We had our small dog with us and he was welcomed too! The room was at the end of the corridor and the lovely curved Windows had a great view of the hillside rather than the road or the Home Bargains train... Read more

We stayed here for three nights with our three children, their spouses and 8 little granddaughters to celebrate my 60th birthday. Everything was superb: The rooms had everything for the familys' needs and comfort; the breakfast had a wonderful choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, cooked etc and we were able to sit together; the staff were friendly and attentive as they were for my 60th birthday evening meal. The birthday evening was fantastic: a table was reserved for us to use in the lounge... Read more

This is the first time we have stayed in a Holiday Inn and we were very impressed. Friendly, helpful staff, immaculately clean and well maintained hotel. Perfectly adequate buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

was due to stay 2 nights - hotel was full - when using the bathroom in the morning, found toenail clippings all over the shelf (not mine!) and coffee ring marks on it as well. asked for room to be cleaned whilst I was at work - returned that evening to find no change / cleaning had occurred - walked out in disgust - and they still tried to charge me!

We stayed overnight on the way to Center parcs Longleat and was really impressed with the hotel and its staff. Checkin was quick and was made to feel very welcome. We went up to the room on the 3rd floor and was not disappointed. It was an executive room which was large and we had a sofa bed made up for my daughter. It was extremely clean and spacious. We got a call from reception and was told our lights were left on inside the car. They went completely out of their way to tell us and saved u... Read more

Being my first visit to the U.K. I wasn't sure how the hotels would be, but was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They told me about transportation, stores and restaurants. The room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. I will definitely come back on my next trip over.

Excellent customer service, good atmosphere, good value for money and lovely food. We had a lovely Sunday lunch with our friends and our children. Children under 5 eat free and over 5s £7.50 for 3 courses. Adults 3 course carvery was £15 including tea/coffee and water. It was really very nice. We took advantage of using the new path between Bulford and Amesbury and combined our Sunday lunch with an autumn walk. Would definitely return. Thank you x

I was greeted upon arrival by very friendly and attentive staff and taken to my room. The room were very comfortable, quiet despite being in a business park on a main road and overall I had a pleasant stay. In case you are wondering, no you do not look out of your window and see Stonehenge! That's a few miles down the road.
