From start to finish ,the welcome and friendliness of all staff was lovely ( and felt very natural) . The hotel was clean, great location and near trams to city centre. Nothing seemed too much trouble to staff and a special mention for Jessica ( customer services at breakfast), who spent time sharing local knowledge and was very helpful and attentive.

We were delighted with this hotel and location. Lovely to be able to walk along the quayside right outside the door and take it all in...The hotel staff were friendly, and attentive. The room was lovely and bright over looking the water - bed was comfortable. Breakfast was just OK, but we were there for one night, and would recommend it as a base to look around the area and outlying area. .

Amazing stay in this hotel All staff were so friendly and polite Room was lovely, loads of space with everything you need incl. kettle and condiments, all with a lovely view of the quays and the water sports centre from our room The breakfast buffet was lovely, nothing to fault especially with it being free which was a massive bonus Also, close to the metrolink station to get where you need to be. Or restaurants, bars and shops close by too. Would definitely come back and recommend

Stayed here going to see Coldplay and I couldn't fault any of it. Easy check-in and out, lovely staff, great location and a nice enough breakfast. Great 24hr bar and you can get pizza 24/7 too what more could you want! It's right by the motorway and has a good carpark if you drive or you can get the tram literally at the bottom of the road and the trams are every 10min or so. Would recommend this hotel to for any family, friends or business trips.

Nothing wrong with this hotel, but just nothing special, apart from the staff who are absolutely lovely and very accommodating. There is an in-lobby bar, but the poor person has to also serve as the desk clerk if no one else is on. Rooms are clean but smallish and there are no drawers only a couple of shelves to unpack your stuff. It does include a hair dryer and iron, but amenities such as lotion and soaps are minimalistic. My partner and I have stayed in many Holiday Inn's and this is the best so far, the staff were excellent, lovely location and the room was spotless. There was a fee of £3.00 to park but many Holiday Inn's charge far more. The tram into Manchester was a short walk from the hotel and many bars/restaurant in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Was put up in this hotel by a company who wanted my educational expertise for their employees. Was pleasantly surprised by my lovely view of the Manchester quays. Went for a wee walk and made my way through the paths that run alongside the quays up to Old Trafford. Never been to the stadium before but walking around it really makes you appreciate what a special club Man Utd are. Parking was £3 at hotel. Rooms clean. Nice breakfast and bar had some good beers on tap.

We went for the weekend of Parklife and were greeted by a lovely member of staff called Victoria who met all of our needs and even printed out maps for us prior to us coming so we knew our way round. Our room was ready early which was great! The room was lovely and modern and rather clean too. The only problem was 2 spiders and a moth later on at night. The breakfast was delicious too and great considering it was an express hotel. Would definitely stay here again, great value for money.

We stayed here the weekend of The Stone Roses. Hotel was obviously busy due to this. The hotel is right beside the quay where you can see water sports and it's close to an outlet to grab some bargains! Perfect location and we much preferred staying here away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre and it's only a 5 min walk to the tram. I am a bit surprised by the high ranking of this hotel. I would evaluate it as average at most. It is a chain hotel, with no character. Carpeted floor everywhere means that the hotel is not allergy friendly and you are never sure about cleanness. Breakfast was very low quality. We decided to stay in the holiday inn express because it appeared to be in a very nice area of Manchester, and we weren't disappointed. it was easy to get to Manchester centre via the metro and it is in a pleasant area. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable. Breakfast - self service with good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, croissants, muffins plus cooked items but NO bacon. all our rooms overlooked the water sport centre and were quiet. We mentioned the build up of litter at this end of the quays and were told it is cleared at times but it did look as though it was quite a few weeks or months old.

We stayed here recently while in Manchester for the test match. I cannot fault it, the hotel is nicely situated by the water in a lovely rejuvenated area. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Recently stayed her for 5 nights while working in the area. Staff are really friendly Even when I had a slight problem with my booking hassle free they just took it up with my company. Only problem was breakfast all they have is sausage and beans for cooked and nothing else which is really poor. Although the staff are great I do not think I would select this hotel again on that basis.

Breakfast was as expected and nothing to write home about... Read more
