The hotel is located in the city centre really close to the train station. My room was spacious and really comfy. I have to say that the breakfast is below average but good enough for a business hotel.

Stayed at the novotel for a Saturday night. Right in the city centre, ncp car park in 2 minute walk away. Stayed on the 12th floor gave us great views over Reading. Room was newly refurbished, comfortable bed, fridge, nice bathroom with both bath and shower. Free toiletries. Overall a great hotel, very reasonable cost and great central location

We always stay in this hotel. Ideal location in town centre. Hotel staff are very helpful rooms are beautiful and complaints dealt with promptly. Parking on site is an advantage. Book directly with hotel as it is same price as booking.com etc. Would defiantly recommend.

Best location you could ask in Reading. The hotel is good, rooms look new, friendly staff. The gym at the hotel is quite good, with new equipments. The only incovinience was that there were few electric plugs in the room, none next to the bed!

Very well positioned in Reading town centre, but not noisy. Friendly an efficient staff, I stayed in a twin room with my son and it worked out very well, good sized and comfortable beds. Good to step out of the slightly depressing town centre and have a modern shower and peace and quiet. I would definitely stay here again when visiting my children in Reading.

We stayed here for the convenience of its location. The hotel is kept in good condition. We weren't allowed to do an early check in because they only had "accessible" rooms available; however, hours later they ended up giving us an accessible room. Didn't understand that. Shower and sink were fitted for wheelchair users so not the most comfortable for people without the need of an accessible toilet. Staff was friendly. We didn't use the facilities of the hotel as well we're there to spend ti... Read more

I liked the look and feel of this hotel immediately. On arrival the service was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and modern. The bed was very clean and comfortable and resulted in an excellent night sleep. The shower tube was broken which meant water ended up everywhere. I reported this to reception on checking out and they were very apologetic about this. I would definitely go back.

This hotel has a very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff team, the rooms are clean and well furnished. Excellent town centre location with plenty of amenities within walking distance and the Reading GWR main Rail Station is just around the corner with regular non stop trains to London. Three of us stayed for a very pleasurable 3 nights and had consistently good hearty breakfasts along with the odd good value bar meal. However there are a number of restaurants and bars were all tastes a... Read more

I stayed here to be within easy reach of all the pubs and clubs and bars in Reading. It is literally a wobbly wedged heel away from everywhere in reading. It really accommodates well for those stumbling back in in the early hours of 4, 5, 6am. My friend and I requested - and received adjoining rooms that are cleverly controlled by both people. It was competitively priced and we were pleased with the accommodation

I've stopped here now twice for business, and the hotel location is great for the station and restaurants in reading. Rooms are nice but only down side is very few plug sockets. I had to unplug the TV and radio so I could charge my phone and laptop. Check in staff are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed on a Saturday, for one night in a Executive Room with Queen Size bed . Car parking very tight under the hotel done on a first come basis ,I believe £12 . NCP back of hotel, 24 hours £24 discounted down to £12 by validating your parking ticket at reception , you then have 20 mins to get your car and leave. The Hotel desk was very welcoming and on arrival wished my wife a happy Birthday, as I had mention this in my pre booking .Our room, was as I had asked, on the top floor and down a ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and whilst we were there the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for example when we checked in our rooms weren't together so the receptionist moved them together which was actually adjoining rooms which helps when your 3 women away and getting ready to go to ladies day! It's a great location you literally step out your hotel and your in the centre of reading and a 2 minute walk from the oracle and the same to the train station. Clean rooms and ba... Read more

Stopped here for one night travelled to a business meeting. The hotel has good facilities including a pool. Evening meal & breakfast were booked through one of their offers for 1 person the prepaid amount was £121.05.The staff on the desk were not very organised or what you would expect of a Mecure group hotel. I have travelled all over the UK & France with this group and not found the staff as bad as this one for not knowing their way round their systems etc. I booked on line but still had to ... Read more

My family and I stayed at this amazing hotel, upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and they were expecting us! I requested upon booking two rooms that were interconnecting rooms, unfortunately this request was not forwarded to the hotel; as compensation we were offered complimentary full breakfast for the adults (children ate free) and car parking! Bedroom was comfortable and the swimming, sauna and steam room was perfect! Thank you for a brilliant weekend Novotel Hotel, Reading ??????

We stayed here for two nights for a weekend break. The hotel is central to everything and walking distance to the oracle shopping centre as well as high street shops on the doorstep. Our room was very spacious clean and modern. The bed was very firm. Nice to have a seperate shower which was always providing hot water immediately. Lovely to have the use of sauna steam room and swimming pool. There's a gym but didn't use it. I would definitely stay here again

Visit this establishment just for 1 night. The room was very good size with comfortable bed and tidy. All you actually need on business trip. Little minibar and safe,Tv and free Wifi is available. The breakfast was not included in price..such a shame.

I had a spacious, clean, disabled room on the 6th floor and everything in the room was A1 perfection. Pools, sauna, steam room, showers and changing facilities extremely nice, get a 9/10 from me. Dropped a point because I prefer there to be a member of staff within eye and ear shot of the pool, for safety when swimming alone, and there was no costume spinner. Only two gripes with my stay: 1. Was woken up several times by drunken yobs chanting and a police helicopter overhead - and my room was... Read more

Nice enough room but lots of outside noise despite being on 8th floor! When I arrived i was asked if I wanted to park in hotel carpark which I did, it was not mentioned at the time of hotel charge for this only when checking out did I realise that bill had been increased by £14 when I questioned this i was told there is a sign up in car park so didn't need to tell me when booking in, member of staff very abrupt and discourteous! Hotel is located in centre of reading and appears to be popular w... Read more

Very clean, modern hotel with bath, shower and separate toilet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, asked for more milk for our tea and the guy on reception went and got us a small jug of fresh milk:) The only problem was I found the room quite hot as the air con was not that cold and noticed more because outside was very hot. On the 7th floor, could have been noisy still I think as We were facing the Main Street but it was a Sunday. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of choices C... Read more

Requested a quiet room as knew the hotel was central and with it being a Saturday night would be busy. Check in was fast, room was clean although a little small compared to similar price ranges. Bathrooms was very small mistaken for a cupboard. Room was for 3 adults, advised hotel before arrival via email and requested facilities in room were suited for 3. However we were not catered for. Sofa bed had no base sheet and only 1 pillow, not enough towels, or cup etc. Mentioned to reception in... Read more

Stayed at the Novotel jn Reading for one night. It was clean, tidy and with a plenty big enough bedroom. Toilet separate, which I like and good bathroom. Usual top quality from Novotel group. Excellent position in the town centre and car park nearby with discount provided by Novotel but there were places available in their underground car park. Staff friendly, obliging and very helpful. the breakfast was also excellent. Would have been a little better if the air-conditioning worked harder... Read more
