Staying here for convenience, as it is brilliantly placed, everything was ok. I simply hoped it would be more exciting, that the staff would care a bit more and the food was a bit hotter and better. We were tired, so accepted it but probably will choose another location next time

We stayed here to go to the Jazz Cafe which is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel so definitely convenient for us! The hotel staff were lovely and we received a lovely welcome when we arrived. Easy to park as there were loads of spaces. Room was clean, spacious and modern. Breakfast was a definite highlight as it was fresh and plentiful. I can't comment on the evening meals as we didn't have one but the Thai menu at le cafe certainly sounded delicious!

The service I received from the second I set foot in this hotel was excellent. There is clearly either an incentive program or just general high morale amongst all staff because they could not do enough for me and made me feel extremely valued as a customer. It really was smiles, kindness and great service all round. The food was tasty, gym staff practically offered us our own class/PT service, front desk staff actually cared, decent decor and cleanliness within the hotel was good. Views of the... Read more

I booked this hotel through Booking.com, the deal was amazing. The hotel is lovely, very modern design and situated alongside the stadium. My daughter and I stayed for 1 night and we could not find a fault with it. The room contained all the usual gadgets, the bed was very comfortable, there was a very wide choice at breakfast and the service was excellent.

Pros: Located in Green Park in Reading, so if you have business there is pretty good. Breakfast was ok, nothing spectacular though it did not lack anything. So myself enjoyed the English buffet. Room size was ok, same as bathroom. Good wifi, though continuously disconnecting if you closing/putting on standby your phone/laptop. 2 bottles of water provided. Cons: no slippers or bathrobe provided in the room. Mini bar was empty except the 2 bottles of water. Room view was towards inside of the h... Read more

A stunning hotel with staff that are even better. Stayed here in May as part of a group of cyclists on a charity ride. Every thing was prepared for us on arrival so we could check in quickly and have a well deserved shower and rest. Staff were so nice and attentive it was like we were royalty! Never had this sort of service, particularly in a g Large group. Rooms were very nice and large, food in the bar was great also. All in all a very good experience - thank you Madejeski team.

Good modern hotel next to football stadium. We had a family room - a reasonable size with two double beds for the three of us. Family friendly - they gave my son a pirate book when we checked-in. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was a buffet but good nevertheless. (We got it as part of a deal so it was affordable.) The swimming pool was not large. It was warm. The jacuzzi was hot and powerful.

Stayed June 2016. Two adults two young children in standard family room. I'm a wheelchair user and room was made accessible to a very very high standard. Within hotel lots of different accessible rooms, we chose family room with wheel in shower. Huge room, very comfortable. Our children are coeliac and were very well provided for. Chef in the le cafe made a meal just for kids. Superb! Facilities everywhere were great and staff enthusiastic, kind and very attentive. We will be back.

Nice hotel , little soulless and a place that comes to life on Reading FC match days. Clearly intended for the business market as it's a long way from Reading centre with absolutely nothing nearby apart from a retail park and a host of fast food outlets. Nice rooms , great bed and excellent buffet breakfast

All the receptionists had a smile and were more than happy to help with any queries,on my 1st night the air-con on my room was stuck on and the very nice porter quickly moved us into an upgraded room on a higher floor with minimal fuss. Stayed here for one night prior to a conference. Room was very comfortable. WiFi worked seamlessly. The food in the restaurant was very good bu the restaurant itself was a little cheerless - just a place to eat when you are hungry rather than to have a meal. Breakfast was a standard buffet - again the food was good. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

I usually stay in old, character hotels so to stay here was refreshing and made a change. Beds were large and very comfy. Business brought me to Reading for a single night. We had ordered club rooms, and the rooms were nice and convenient for working, but noting special. But the price was too high. We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant, but we came 9.03 and they closed the kitchen at 9 ! Nice bar with good service. Breakfast is OK with a good selection and good capacity in the rush hour.

I think that the management of the madejski hotel are missing a trick. It was a busy coffee area and only one member of staff serving customers. I sat in the area from 8.30am to 11.40am today and only really counted one member of staff. The room was very nice, me and my partner was passing through the city for the night, the restaurant and bar was well managed. However I found the receptionist very pushy and on several occasions he tried selling us an club room which I wasn't interested.

Stayed in Room 413 and was so lovely! Had two massive double beds and a lovely spacious room. Bed was so comfy and clean. Breakfast was also a really good buffet and had everything that I could have wanted from cereal, full English, fresh fruit, croissants.
