Just returned from 2 nights here. We were contacted before arrival as they were due to have a staff party and there may be some noise but would be finished by 11. That was a nice touch and in the end no noise no issue. We paid for car parking space at the hotel before arrival. Greeted well and told of complimentary coffee when we had unpacked. Room clean and warm...needed the radiator as cold February. Great view of the Harbour and Rick Steins restaurant nearby. Breakfast was amazing. On the fi... Read more

Sorted this 3 day deal on line. I was contacted by hotel staff twice by phone before my visit to make sure everything I had booked for was ok. Booked a superior room with sea view which was big, very comfortable with large 7' wide bed, a settee and 2 easy chairs. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious, none of this queuing for a buffet style, partly cooked and only warm fare!! The dining room had great views over town and River Camel. Dinner was excellent, well cooked, presented and flavo... Read more

We have just returned from an excellent three day break at The Metropole. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Lovely sea view room which was beautifully warm & cosy. Large fluffy towels & lashings of hot water. The food was fabulous and all staff exceptionally good. We will most certainly be returning.

Metropole is located within walking distance of everything you might want to see/eat in Padstow. If you arrive by car, it's ESSENTIAL to book a parking space, which costs 5 quid. The hotel main floor has some charm but it sorely needs tasteful updating. The bar, for example, is a pleasant sitting room. But the bar itself is a cheap add-on that defiles the atmosphere. Breakfast smoked haddock was delicious - some of the best I've ever had. Our hotel room was a disappointment, sparsely furni... Read more

A beautiful 1900s grand hotel overlooking the harbour, the Camel estuary and Rock. Fantastic views from dining room and comfortable seaview bedrooms. Very reasonable rates and wonderful attentive staff. Go on, treat yourselves!

This hotel is a comfortable family place. Ideal location, easy walk to main cafes, restaurant's and bars. We had a room with a view, not large but warm and cosy. Nice bathroom. Good breakfast, everything you could wish for. The dining room has sensational views. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good parking facilities. Will definitely be back.

The birthday celebrations continued for the two birthday boys with a stay in Padstow at the Metropole Hotel. From the moment we arrived at the hotel reception the customer service was excellent. We checked in painlessly and we were invited to take welcome tea/coffee in the lounge were we were able to overlook the esturary to Rock on the other side. Everyone was pleased with their room, We had an inland facing room but could still see the "sea". A large bathroom/with shower over, the shower... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid January. This was our 3rd trip here. As always the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food is exceptional with lovely views down the estuary and over to Rock whilst having breakfast and Dinner. The Dinners here are some of the best we've ever had. We had a lovely bottle of bubbly and card on our arrival for an anniversary we were celebrating given to us, it is these touches that make it so wonderful. Our room was very comfortable, huge bed and plenty ... Read more

I have just had a superb weekend here. Could not fault the place the decor just adds character. Had a sea view twin which suited our needs to a t. Ate in the resturant the first night and brasserie 2nd. The food in both was outstanding. A lovely breakfast too. Bar man very helpful as we're all the staff. A trip to St Ives in beautiful weather added to the weekend experience. Will be back.
