We booked this as a treat to ourselves since both our birthdays are in January. We were not disappointed. Our room had a fabulous view of Oban bay and it was clean and tidy. The evening meal was good and the breakfast excellent. All the staff were very friendly which is always an additional bonus too. We secured a special deal and it was truly excellent value for money.

I stayed here in september 2015 as part of large group. We had a very large room for myself and a roommate. Our room was switched by accident with other people in our group, turns out it was for the better. We had a view of the harbour! The hotel was a close walk to everything in this small town. My only issue was that the key to the room was a single physical key, and you only get one per room. My roommate actually had issues with the lock. I would stay here again and suggest it to other tr... Read more

We booked in for one night and were initially disappointed that there was no guest drop off point. All the space outside the hotel was taken up by presumably staff as the vehicles were there all day. Had to lug our bags across from the car park in the rain. Our room was average but extremely noisy. The fire alarm activation during the night at 1.30am didn't help particularly as there was no sign of any staff to confirm it was a false alarm. Guests all out in the corridor heading for the exits an... Read more

what did I expect for just £49 for two nights accommodation with breakfast included ? well peace and quiet to sleep would have been nice , my room ( 308) was next to the stairs where the young staff ran up and down to return to their quarters, so I was woken at 1am in the morning as they returned and 5.30 am as they left to go down to work add the fire alarm scenario to that ,which no one came round to tell us if there was an all clear or not, someone from our floor went down to find out and t... We were gifted a voucher deal to stay overnight in the hotel as a birthday gift. We stayed on the night before my birthday which I thought was a nice touch. Checking in was easy, and the receptionist told me where to park my car free overnight during our stay, which was only a short 5 minute walk along the front. We put our bags in the room, which was warm, bright and clean. We arrived back later after having dinner elsewhere and asked the bar man for some extra milks for the room so I could hav... Read more

The hotel is tired and dated, Entertainment Scottish music fantastic. (were a bit tipsy at the time) the size of the lift that got you there (small, I mean, six person max it said, 3 was the max you could imagine) Evening meal in the hotel was very good, and the service was great, 3 courses. Staff were friendly, and overall we enjoyed the stay. two couples one person in a wheelchair, no problems you get the lift on outside ground level

Booked this with holiday vouchers at what was an Over-The-Top price. Paid £120 for 2 nights B&B but was quoted £35 when I inquired about an extra night. Surely for that price a sea view was in order. First the bad, bedrooms need attention, mildew, dirty carpet, damaged and dirty window frames, television faulty and awful view of passageway and rubbish from my window. Now the good, public areas fine, clean & tidy, food was O.K. as was service, Staff were friendly and efficient only. Expected mo... Read more

The location and price of this hotel were brilliant. Right on the waterfront with lovely views. My room, unfortunately looked over a building site but this didn't really bother me too much. I could however, hear people constantly talking in the hallway during the night which did disturb me, as well as banging doors. Breakfast.... I'm still a bit confused about by. I paid for b&b however when I got to breakfast there was prices for the cooked food. Surely this should be included?? Staff were okay... Read more

Had a coach holiday with travelstyle to the regent hotel in Oban. My daughter and I had a twin room and we were very pleased as it had a sea view. The room had been refurbished and it was very clean> The pillows were nice and soft and bouncy. The staff were really nice and the food was good too. We had a good holiday.
