3 nights stay, the room was very nice and clean, the hotel quiet, privacy respected, nice lighting system...the TV package could definitely be better, and the "gym" they have at 11th floor shouldn't be called a gym,but overall a good experience. Price- fair enough

Good location and close to city centre and theatres. Parking nearby and discounted by hotel. Room size more than ample and comfortable. Breakfast was good but just slightly on expensive side. Bar drinks not cheap.

Not sure what some of the other reviewers are complaining about, but this was a decent hotel, the room was newer, service was good, close to everything that matters. I would happily stay there again. Just make sure to pre-book your parking.

Hotel booked by business- nice hotel in middle of city centre restaurants and bars and very close to castle and theatre district but you couldn't hear any traffic noise so didn't disturb sleep Hotel seemed to be in middle of maintenance Didn't know there was a gym...no information & wasn't told!

Visited last week with my girlfriend on our way up north as she loves Robin Hood. The car park is a bit of a pest to find and if you miss it the trip round the one way system isn't much fun. The parking charge was £15 I think which is usual for hotels and at lease this one is secured. I was a bit bemused by the £25 charged for breakages, mini bar etc. On a plus it paid for my parking and our mini bar use. Checkin took a bit of time as due to my mistake with the car park a group of a dozen sta... Read more

Great service, comfortable room, friendly staff. The receptionist Sal was warm and friendly, he even remembered us when he saw us, he's an asset to the hotel, Lauren or Laura I can't remember was kind to us at the chino latino. The back cod is delicious everyone should try that. Location is excellent.

Warm welcoming staff that will try to make your wish their command, great facilities, great room, great city location, all you'd expect from a hotel and more. On our arrival the employee recognised we were a couple booked into a twin room (my mistake ???) and she offered free of charge to change our room to a double.

Went to the Nottingham Plaza to attend an event in Nottingham. The weekend had a lot of events on, so this hotel was a very similar price to the more budget hotel a few buildings as all hotel prices were raised. Very clean, efficient staff, secure underground parking though I didn't use it at night. Didn't make use of room service or on-site restaurant. Large room and medium sized bathroom, controllable air con in the room. Slept well even though it's on a main road, room seemed quiet to me.

Stayed here twice now and each time had a wonderful stay. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful! We upgraded to the late stay which was definitely worth the money (wine, chocolate and fruit - who can say no!). Would definitely recommend this hotel!

I visited here in early June. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was big and included all modcons. However, it was very noisy - even though it was six floors up. I could hear cars below, as well as people outside local bars and clubs when I had gone to bed. It doesn't have 'proper' double glazing and the curtains aren't flat with the walls, which meant the room got light when the sun came up (at 5.30am). The breakfast was ok but the layout of the restaurant is a ... Read more

We attended for an evening function. We did not stay overnight at the hotel. The facilities were clean and staff very helpful. The three course meal was excellent, despite the numbers being served. My only note of caution would be that the wine from the bar was very expensive.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our visit to Nottingham. The room was spacious, clean & the huge King size bed was extremely comfortable. The reason we are regular guests @ this Park Plaza Hotel is the quality of staff, not only front desk but behind the scenes, everyone is courteous, professional with a nothing is too much bother attitude. Checking in & out was a pleasure due to a front of house staff team member - Shawn. Shawn's personality & professionalism made the whole process a jo... Read more

I am staying in the Park Plaza on a regular basis and I am very happy with the service and ambience of the hotel. The front desk colleagues are very helpful and prompt in the service. The rooms are clean and tidy. The hotel has done lot of refurbishment and you can make it out from the new carpets and the good beds. I also used the gym regularly and it is a decent gym if you want to have a quick workout. The breakfast is also good and has lots of options from cold food to hot menu. I usually or... Read more

5 minutes from the centre of Nottingham, nice presented & clean room, good choice of food & drink be it at the restaurant or room service. If you want a good reasonably priced hotel with excellent facilities ( restaurant, bar, fitness centre) then The Park Plaza must be considered.

Good location but the hotel very tired and a little shabby. The bar area was sticky and grubby, barman not particularly friendly and drinks expensive. My friends room was like a broom cupboard, very small. We had initially booked a twin room on last minute.com but when we arrived we asked if we could book another room. They had spare rooms but when I joked it was cheaper to book on last minute.com the receptionist advised me to do it again so I sat in the reception and booked another room which ... Read more

Such a beautiful place! Very nice and big comfortable bed! Facilities in the room were amazing. We were on the 10th floor with amazing views. Stone throw away from the town! Defo recommend! You have controlled heating! The lift was lit up beautifully. Staff were so helpful for me and my boyfriend. Parking is quiet expensive! You have to park in a multi-storey up the road but they charge £11 the actual hotel carpark charged £18. So no brainier on where to park.?????

The main pro is the situation of the hotel located downtown and offering a parking service if you come by car. The hotel is quite new, modernly decorated with rooms that are correctly equipped. Correctly only for there is no mineral water in the rooms, the towels are tiny, the bathroom is basic. The most annoying is the AC that blows like hell even if put on the Low fan, propelling cold air even if you set the temperature high. As a result you spend the night going up every two hours to switch... Read more

As with most city centre hotels, the downside to this one is the lack of free parking, so I left my car at a 'park and tram' stop, rather than drive into the city. Upon arrival at the hotel the two people behind the check in desk were preoccupied amongst themselves, and rather than acknowledge my arrival, they continued to talk about a work issue for the best part of a minute before saying Hello to me - this isn't a long time, but it feels lengthy when you're waiting to be seen and feeling igno... During our tour of the UK my husband and I had the opportunity to stay at Park Plaza, Nottingham. The hotel is in a very busy location (traffic wise) ,but close to and in walking distance to attractions such as Nottingham Castle as well as shops. The staff are professional, polite and pro-active. Many restaurants and cafes are also in walking distance.

Attentive staff, good modern facilities. We did not eat in the restaurant but menu looked good and breakfast was exactly what we needed. The associated bar (Oaks) had great cocktails and is definitely worth a visit. I had the gun and cucumber one. It was really refreshing.

I'll keep it short and sweet: bed was incredibly comfortable, staff friendly, room was modern and clean and the location is central. However because it's on a main road, which is pretty noisy, we had to keep the windows closed which was a problem because the air conditioning only stayed on for a set time- so night time was very hot . I shared a twin room with a friend and was horrified that the bathroom door was just frosted glass. There are some things that can't be private enough. I was in ro... Read more

stayed here the night before an open open day at Nottingham Trent Uni . rooms spotlessly clean ,friendly staff, great location and for £68 excluding breakfast great value too . Park Plaza is a great hotel, went there for a break away from London and was not disappointed, right in the city centre but not noisy just convenient. Service all round was great, great value rooms, executive king room. The adjacent restaurant has earned a double rosette for good reason it was fantastic, the food, the service, the value all 10/10.

The hotel is well located for visitors arriving into or visiting Nottingham city centre. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious. The rooms, hospitality, and service are all very good. I'm not sure I'd whisk the missus away here for a naughty weekend, but for a group of stags or hens etc it serves its purpose to great effect. Room service is a tad pricey, but the breakfast was solid fare. The reception team were exceptionally helpful, even upon my third instance of losing my key card... and here's the real reason for such a glowing recommendation of this hotel, they didn't even kick off when I had, lets say, a little accid...
