My booked single room became a small double. Not airconditioned, double glazed but non opening window so a little stuffy. Fan already in room which did help a bit. Good desk area, tea and coffee making just enough for one. Comfortable bed and reasonable sized bathroom including bath with shower and complimentary toiletries. My daughter and I stayed here for one night as we were attending a hen night in Nottingham. The guy on reception, Jay, was excellent and very helpful. Our room (608) was great. The bed was comfy, the bathroom fine and the toiletries and tea/coffee facilities were good. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel and our room was clean. I've stayed at this hotel several times. It's handy to stores, restaurants and transportation. The rooms are above average for the country. Parking is a bit challenging (you must use the parking garage across the street). The front desk staff and concierge were very hepful. The food during breakfast and the staff during breakfast are superior! I've had some challenges with room refresh over the course of my stays. When notified, corrected quickly.

Long-weekend stay (3nts) 2 people, compact double (they're not kidding) The hotel is very convenient, centrally located, and has parking (expensive given the amount paid for the rooms but on a par with the rest of the City) - just ignore the bus only signs. Let me start off by saying, I have been to more hotels than most people can imagine. I am a HH Diamond Member, travel the world for my job, and I take out large groups when I go to hotels of almost 20 rooms at a time. I have seen the best Hilton has to offer and I can honestly tell you, this is the absolute worst. I am astonished that this place actually carries a Hilton name on the front of it. It is a Motel 6 at best. Let's begin with all of the things that are wrong with this place: 1... Read more

This hotel is right in the centre of town which makes for a very noisy stay, between traffic and drunken revellers in the town centre at night. The car parking on site is small. Our room was shabby. Desperately needing its refurbishment. There was scaffolding outside of two of the three windows. We had three beds in our room for three adults. Stayed here with my husband and the only slight downside was the design of the room. We had room 361 which is an odd design with a little square space you enter in to which has a sky light. The bathroom and bedroom both have entrances off this. The bathroom was lovely, very spacious and had all the lovely little hilton touches. The bedroom looked like it used to have more furniture that had been moved out as there was a lot of free space with scuffs and blemishes on the walls (so would be great... Read more

We recently spent the night in this hotel and were very disappointed. The room was unbelievably small, and the bed wasn't a double even though the room we booked was labelled as a double room. It was also far too warm and the window only opened a couple of inches. The room itself just didn't live up to the Hilton reputation, and wasn't worth what we paid. Everything outside of the room was good though, friendly staff, nice pool and good breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights in a compact double. Internal room with window to light well so lots of noise from other guests esp when window was open. Decorating in halls is ready for redoing its a bit scruffy. Pool was lovely and warm, steam and sauna working and gym well equipt and quiet. Very friendly staff and very clean overall. Bit of a walk from train station.

Hilton Nottingham is conveniently located near a major shopping mall and the city center. Several bus lines operate just outside the hotel. Once inside the hotel you are met by friendly staff. The rooms are fairly small and somewhat dated. It was difficult to move about in the room if you bring a large bag. The wardrobe was small and squeezed in between the bed and the wall, making access difficult. No air conditioning. The toilet door was repaired and the toilet was a bit tricky as flushing dem... I really want to give this hotel a 5 star rating but the 4 stars are based on there not being any air con and it was a 25degree day so had to open the windows which still wasn't enough, there was a small fan but that was about as useful as a asthmatic blowing through a straw. However everything else in this hotel is a 5 star especially the staff, the customer service is outstanding by far the best I have received in the uk. Emily on the front desk could not have been more helpful if she tried.... Read more

Stayed here for one night, Saturday 11th September. I was under the illusion HIlton hotels were top rated, sadly disappointed. Room 210, very small and cramped, window opened about 2 inches making the room stuffy and very warm. Interior decor needed attention, bed uncomfortable and noisy when moving, furniture cheap and chair ripped. I reported the toilet which wouldn't flush, maintenance stated it was a "slow flusher" you had to yank the flush 5/6 times before it flushed which made a horrendous... Read more

We booked this hotel through a company that arranged our dear friends hen do. we stayed in 418 from Friday 9th Sept to Sunday 11th and I have to say that having stayed in many Hilton hotels this one certainly lets the brand down considerably. Decor is out dated Lift very slow with people inside the lift able to override your request Housekeeping on arrival was poor, no replenished tea/coffee/cups etc Previous guests takeaway food left on outside of window ledge to rot No ties/slippers with th... My husband and I stayed here and met up with friends. We have stayed in a Hilton hotel before where we had a bad experience- I'm glad we didn't let that put us off. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, if a little on the small side. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and got free drinks vouchers. The bar although lovely, wasn't staffed when we went for a drink. After about 5 minutes, a lady appeared, no apologies and made us (and a couple of other guests) feel like we were an inconvenience. On Business from Dubai and visiting Nottingham to check on my property. I chose the Hilton as i wanted to relax for a couple of days in an up market, quality hotel as i had a long flight from Dubai and a long train journey down from Newcastle. On booking it stated i got free WiFi with my online booking deal however when i arrived i was told it was only available in the hotel lobby. The rooms on the online advert looked very clean and pristine however the room i was given was grubby, smelt o... Read more

Booked a single room and when I checked in I was told I had been upgraded to a double so was initially quite impressed, but then I saw the room CLEANLINESS: The room (322) was grubby and my initial reaction was that it was an old store room. It was in dire need of renovations with dirty marks all over the walls. There was dust everywhere, the tv and the bathroom curtain were caked in dust. The floor was covered in food crumbs. It really was shocking, there is no need for rooms to be like that ev... Read more

We had a wedding reception at this hotel and we were helping the bride and groom. The hotel staff could not have been better - I would rate them ALL at 11 out of 10. Nothing was too much trouble, they worked incredibly hard, they were polite and friendly. The concierge was amazing and really helped us out throughout our stay. Although this is not the cheapest hotel in town, if you want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable, could not suggest a better place. I travel around Europe all the time a... Read more

I??m just back from a long weekend in Nottingham with my girlfriend. After reading some of the reviews I was getting a bit nervous about my stay in this Hotel but to be honest I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived 3 hours before check in time but we were greeted by a welcoming chap at reception called Dominic who let us check in early and was very helpful with any request we had. The room was a bit on the small side but the bed was very comfy with nice big pillows, big TV and all other room e... Read more

Aside from a central location, there is very little to recommend this hotel. Do not be taken in by the exterior: the rooms are very small, none of the 'traditional' rooms appear to be air-conditioned (there is little more depressing upon entering a room than finding a fan propped up against the desk - you know its going to be a bad night) and the sound-proofing is non-existent. I have stayed here 3 times over the last 6 months (it would have been 4 times, but the hotel gave away my pre-paid ... Read more

The staff are welcoming and I always find it clean. Normally here 2 or 3 times p.aGenerally have a compact dble room which I find small for two adults. This time we had booked a compact plus but paid slightly extra for a superior room 503. A really good nights sleep. Not sure if I would pay the extra again but wouldn't have a basic compact after having the superior. This is an old hotel and has no aircon. Good location

The hotel location is perfect - center of Nottingham, near to all attraction. There is a big parking lot across of the road. The service is good, all is clear, breakfast as it should be - exactly as you would expect from Hilton. But when it comes to rooms - the story is different. The room size is small; the furniture is quite old. I would expect something better from such brand.

Clean, well appointed hotel with excellent staff, who go the extra mile when needed. Food at breakfast and evening meal excellent. Rooms comfortable and clean. Bathroom clean, but a little tired. Shower not the strongest and not brilliant if you are over 6ft like me!

The stay was because we were taking our son to university and we booked two rooms. The twin room looked as though it has recently been modernised and was superb. The executive king room had a huge bathroom but this was a little dated. The leisure facilities were fine and the swimming pool well heated. Right in the centre of town but with the windows closed you couldn't hear anything from outside. Breakfast was amazing and cannot be faulted. It was an absolute nightmare finding the hotel on... Stayed here for one Saturday night. The location in right in the center of town so great for shopping, bars/pubs and restaurants. I was able to park in their car park in front of the hotel. The room was nice and clean and had a big bed, I could make tea and coffee. I will be staying here again when in Nottingham

Business trip, here for 4 nights. It was quite warm, and windows barely open. Fan provided circulates the warm air, but too noisy to sleep with it on. Scheduled water maintenance went on longer than advertised, resulting in no hot water for shower after trip to the gym. Staff kindly offered a reasonable discount, but would rather have had a shower! Rooms way too small: had to re-arrange furniture to accommodate an ironing board. Couldn't imagine 2 people in the room!! Impossible..

I was "forced" to book into the Hilton after my first choice accommodation in Nottingham ( along with pretty much everything else ) was booked up. It seems that Nottingham Forest vs. Arsenal was on that evening - I'm oblivious to this kind of thing - which had put everything else under a bit of strain ... This hotel is part of the Hilton chain, and as such, the staff are all that you would expect them to be - polite, friendly, efficient etc. And I can't really fault them on that side at all. No... I expect More from Hilton. While the front desk staff were very kind and accommodating, the rooms lacked updated furnishings and the toilets made an eerie sound when filling up with water. I also had to come back to the front desk twice upon check in as the keys did not work. We booked the Family Package with a 1600 departure and found the cleaning staff waiting at the door for our departure. This is certainly not the experience I have come to expect from Hilton!
