This was a return visit, this hotel is excellent for travelling from the airport or staying overnight, we had an event at Lyng nearby so we're only staying overnight. On arrival our rooms where upgraded to Executive rooms and the staff on reception were very pleasant. Our rooms were specious and clean and tidy with a large shower, the wifi worked well and a large tv. We had drinks in the bar in the evening and the staff again were very happy and pleasant. I'll start by saying that this hotel was definitely not my first choice. I was due to stay up in Norwich for a weekend and wanted to stay in the city centre the weekend after Easter. However I was unable to find a decent hotel within budget so was forced to look further afield. Found this hotel for a very reasonable £80 for a twin room, which with the £8 cab fare into the city still represented a good saving. I found the hotel to be very comfortable, the rooms look recently renovated and ... Read more

Attended a hen night here with friends. Tables were decorated with balloons and goody bags for all of the party, three course meal was excellent, soup, chicken and cheesecake, and drinks from the bar were reasonably priced. The "male entertainers" were what you would expect for a hen night. Couldn't fault the service from staff, most of whom were very young, but didn't appear to be phased by a room full of mainly females on a hen night, and took all the banter in good humour. Last time I stayed was mid re-furb so good to go back now all done and rooms look great. Did manage to flood my bathroom floor with the shower, not sure design fault or me fault! Great breakfast and only real niggle would be they need more bar staff. This is no secret as they have a big sign on the road! All staff very friendly. Nice property.

We chose this hotel after visiting the North Norfolk Coast. All the staff were very professional and welcoming. Our room was big enough for the two of us, the bathroom had a walk in shower, with plenty of elbow room. We ate in the bar in the evening from a good menu, and the food was delicious. Breakfast was excellent. The chef was constantly refilling the hot dishes, without having too much out at once, which I think is first class. it is also good to see the chef. We stayed one night prior to a very early flight from Norwich, with 7 days parking included in the price and were pleasantly surprised. We thought it would be just another budget chain hotel which would be just about satisfactory but it was far better than expected. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival, lovely modern clean rooms with large walk-in shower, fresh clean towels and nice shower gel. Ok bar area, again staff friendly, breakfast/ resturaunt area in need of upgrade and modernising, also conference area (Halifax room) could do with a refresh, very used look about it. I have just stayed there for two nights Friday and Saturday . The staff are excellent and helpful. The hotel is clean and there is no noise from the airport next door. I loved the Spa area. I would have given it five stars except for I am a large person and I booked a King bed , they just pushed two singles together and put a sheet to hold them in place which is not great when you sleep in the middle of the bed.

Made use of a voucher for an afternoon tea here for myself and mum. It was very nice and all staff very polite and helpful. We sat in the small sun lounge area at the front of the hotel. It's just a shame they have no outdoor garden seating but I guess as it's mainly an airport hotel they don't need it. Afternoon tea was 4 different sandwiches and a selection of scones and cakes and choice of tea or coffee All very nice and would use this hotel more for family gatherings in the restaurant

This was hard to rate because elements of the stay warranted a 1 star. The four stars go to the reception and breakfast staff, because they were fantastic. However. My children and I were accompanying my husband on a business trip and he had several lectures and meetings. My son has a newly broken arm and is quite sore so we spent lots of quiet time in our room, therefore the room service. Day 1: 12:15pm. tried to call room service on the appropriate number for 20 mins with no response (frustr... Read more

Was staying over for a night prior to heading offshore. On arrival the reception staff were happy and attentive and swiftly got me checked in and in to my room. The room was on the top floor and very spacious. In need of freshening up in areas but nothing major. The bathroom had received attention and looked as though a refurb was partly carried out. Small touches would finish it off well. Silly little tongs like no toilet roll holder with a roll left on the floor for use. The high speed wifi wa... Read more

Stayed at this holiday inn with my partner for a wedding we attended. The room was spacious and comfortable. The best piece about our stay was access to the pool & sauna facilities as part of the price of our stay. Can't comment on food, but from what we saw at the bar, it looked okay. Would recommend to others for comfortable stay.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights over a long weekend visit to Norwich. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The breakfast offered a wide choice to suit all tastes and was of good quality, although the coffee could be improved, but then I have always found it difficult to find really good coffee in UK hotels. The room on the 3rd floor was a good temperature and comfortable. There was however no window , only a skylight the room being mechanically ventilated , which i did not like. We had one ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel again for a one night stay when visiting in the area. The reception staff were cheerful and efficient both checking in and out. The room we were allocated was one of the biggest we have ever had in an English hotel - double bed, sofa, easy chair, desk and chair, plus wardrobe and separate TV table. Huge bathroom, with shower cubicle, and Jacuzzi. Had dinner in the bar - very good quality and high standard. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of everything, and t... Read more

With bet in play you get the chance to choose who will get served, or even if you get served. The service is truly a lottery. Heating randomly works in the rooms. Beer had no gas. 5 staff would rather stand engrossed in each other rather that even have the manners to even acknowledge you are waiting to get served. The hotel rooms themselves are reasonable and the bed is comfortable. However, that's the only good bit, worn and torn carpets are evident in public areas. The ventilation in the res... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a coach party. The evening meals were very nice and varied. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable, lovely pillows. Luckily we had a room at the rear as it was really busy with Christmas parties etc. and the noise was quite loud we believe from some of our friends. Staff were helpful.
