Can't say anything bad with the Hotel though the place is to far from the Center no place to roam around, only way to buy food is by Delivery or nearby Subway and Sawyer Bar & grill. If you want to go shopping or just buy anything from the stores you have to take a taxi going to the Center, taxi fare from Hotel to Center is a little expensive.

I booked early and got a very good price, seemed a bit out of the way but ok if you drive! Check-in was not good chap on the phone so stood waiting another group came in behind and he served them first! The hotel and room were lovely and very clean. Breakfast, the hotel was full up, we waited nearly 15 minutes to get plates and cutlery and by this time we had to wait for more food! Reception is friendly and it's a new hotel so looks nice. Large lounge area. Rooms are good size and better than other budget hotels. But oh the breakfast. We have stayed here twice, each time for 2 nights so have experienced 4 chaotic breakfasts. Insufficient staff, food, plates, cutlery - you name it they can do it! Such a shame.

We must have stayed here on the same night as Fosseboy, because man was breakfast a shambles! They didn't seem to have enough cutlery, plates, food or staff to deal with a full house and a LOT of people were visibly frustrated. The layout of the place didn't help - too small and poorly designed. Definitely avoid the rush, which when we stayed looked to last until 10am or so. The room itself was great. We didn't have any water when we arrived, but that was soon remedied and the staff were very a... Read more

Wanted a good value hotel / motel prior to going to the outrageously priced celtic manor. What a find. Big rooms with twin beds the size of doubles. Good bathroom and shower. Stunning views across the estuary. 5 mins from Mayor with decent pubs and shop. Good free parking. Bar area tidy. No restaurant but you do get 10% off Sawyers which is needed as slightly overpriced for a burger joint. Breakfast very good with hot and cold options. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good cheaper alternative to Cardiff city centre Hilton. Room very good. Self-service breakfast. Well cooked food and nice selection, but no special requests like porridge or fried eggs. We used this hotel on our return from Pembroke. It is very conveniently situated by the M4 at J23a. It is modern, well equipped and breakfast is complimentary. A good range of hot and cold food is provided for breakfast. The rooms are adequate but some of the"accessible" rooms, although very well equipped, are as far away from reception as possible on the 4th floor. The hotel has good lifts available but may be a tight fit for wheelchair users.

The rooms are adequately sound proofed, so there is no noise from the motorway, which is only a few hundred metres away! The only disappointment is the breakfast (which is included in the room rate). If you are looking for a hotel that's got everything you need and close to the M4 motorway then you can't get better than this. I had planned to stay at another hotel, but with the expected heat, A/C was a must and this hotel delivered! Plenty of free parking, good speed free wifi, hot breakfast complimentary. Room 323 was big and comfy, with a sofa and large shower. Note that the modern room layout involves a frosted glass door which serves as both wardrobe and bathroom door, but provides minimal privacy in my opinion so I wouldn't stay here with anyone who I was uncomfortable with knowing my bathroom business!

My the staff were very friendly on arrival. The room & bathroom were spotless. The bed was comfy and you couldn't here the motoway. But we went down to breakfast and it looked like a bomb had hit the place. No clear tables, food was every where, empty serving trays, no milk, no waffle mix. This was our first stay at a Hampton by Hilton. For me I will stick to Hilton. The room was on the small side and did not have one drawer. I was sharing with a friend and I found the glass sliding door; which covers the wardrobe and toilet quite strange. You could not lock the door nor did it "shut". Most of The staff were fabulous and the duty manager was leading by example (Robbie) day one. I was disappointed with breakfast. They struggled to keep it topped up and on both days we had to wait... If you're familiar with, and like, the Hampton chain you will feel right at home at this hotel. If you're not, expect a spacious clean room with a Queen bed and a sofa chair. Breakfast was included, and is a standard continental. Location is in a new build office park, so very quiet at night. The restaurants in the park are OK, and you won't have to walk far to get dinner.

Downfall is that every time you cross the bridge towards Wales there's a toll charge of £6.70 per car which adds up to the total value of the trip. The hotel itself is very basic in terms of amenities. I'd say best features are bed mattresses and bathroom. Otherwise, there's no proper restaurant. Breakfast is basic and I'd say limited too.
