A beautiful venue and staff very helpful. Food very very disappointing beef pasta bake served with veg and potatoes looked very dry. Steak sandwiches we decided upon served with crispy fries and mushrooms. 4 very thin slivers of steak covered in mushrooms and onions served in a large bagette £8 95 disgusting. Definately wont bother calling in for lunch again.

Visited for afternoon tea at a cost of £15pp there was 4 finger sandwiches each (minimal filling) stale around the edges! There was no other savoury & too sweet to eat all cakes which were subsequently left. Coffee was Nescafé instant. Service was exceptional but would not attend again for afternoon tea.

Been using this hotel for many years, both work and pleasure. Stayed with a colleague last week and both enjoyed the stay. Warm welcome, log fire cracklings on arrival, cosy comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Hotel staff friendly as normal, a real home from home, Thankyou.

Stayed for one night and wished it were longer. Room absolutely beautiful, desk, wifi, great lighting, lovely toiletries, fluffy towels and the most comfortable bed and pillows. Carvery food was good and the breakfast even better. Great choice of food. Best Uk stay in a long time, would love to stay longer on a private visit.

There were a hundred of us in a male voice choir with wives and family that descended on this lovely hotel to stay for a few days. First impressions were of a very attractive hotel in beautiful landscaped grounds, following swiftly by amazingly capable and friendly staff who dealt so efficiently with the sudden crowd to check in. The room was really very nice indeed and, with the sun shining in, it looked colourful, clean and well appointed. It quite took my breath away. Everything from ironing ... Read more

Popped in for quick ok and had a meeting. Always full every time I go there. The other half is a member of the spa. Great atmosphere ,enough parking even when really busy. Lovely hotel. Hotel prices at the bar.

We stayed here on a saturday and had a wonderful time! Room was beautiful, lovely view of the garden and very cosy. Had evening meal at the hotel and the food was lovely. Carvery was huge! Spa again was great, free use of the facilities with the room booking. Added bonus of evening entertainment, we enjoyed our stay very much. Would recommend informing guests on booking that there is a £50 deposit that needs to be paid rather than when the guests arrive to check in. This was an unexpected cos... Read more

I didn't spend enough time here but was very welcoming, traditional feel and impeccably clean! The rooms are a little dated but they are incredibly spacious and clean which is far more important than how modern the furniture is. I am staying here again next week and hope to enjoy the amenities more this time around.

We have stayed at the hotel twice now. The dinner in the restaurant was top quailty. The steak was cooked perfectly and the guinea foul was moist and full of flavour. The rooms are nice and spacious with comfy warm beds. The breakfast was really nice. Plenty of choice. We both had back neck and shoulder massages which was very nice and relaxing. Would go back anytime.
