Pleasant rooms to stay for a business trip. All rooms come with a well-equipped kitchenette. I only ever stay one night, so the only thing in the kitchenette that matters to me is the cafetiere with ground coffee to make a decent coffee first thing in the morning. Beds are very comfy and big. Nice bathrooms, towels, toiletries. Very clean. Breakfast is OK, nothing special, but covers all the basics. Public areas are a bit dull, but there is a complimentary drinks hour every night which is a rea... Read more

From the great welcome from Jason and Caterina to the final farewell this hotel is a gem. There was a fresh feel to hotel lobby and whole decor within. We all had suites on the first floor, what great rooms. 118 had a separate bedroom to the living room/kitchen. 121 and 122 were combined areas, all were spotless. The rooms were well equipped and the Aircon worked very well. Silence in the hotel gave a great nights sleep. We will be back again. The walk to town is an easy stroll of 10 mins and 5 ... Read more

Stayed here based on a very reasonable room rate, however, when we arrived in the room we were more than impressed! The suite we had was a single bedroom apartment, and had everything you would need to live here! The room had all the mod cons and was very modern too! Can't say enough about it! The staff on reception were extremely friendly and knowledgable! It's a short walk into the centre to Newcastle so the location is great too! I checked into the Staybridge Suites for a week-long stay whilst in business in Newcastle. The hotel isn't quite central but isn't a long walk away from the center, shops and eating places. On arrival, the reception desk is tucked away around a corner which seems a little odd because you walk into the breakfast and sofa area. The staff are friendly and you're quickly enroute to the room. The rooms are an average size and include an inbuilt kitchen, decent sized bathroom and living area. The be... Read more

I've stayed at this hotel twice before on business and leisure, hence my return. We intended to use the hotel as a handy family base, but ended up staying a further night, as it was so good. There is a little kitchenette where if you don't fancy eating out you can cook something, there is a pantry that provides basics or a local Sainsburys about 10 min walk away. Overall it was good - staff very friendly, good breakfast, nice lobby to hang out in, good wifi. I don't think the location was that great - it's not too far from the quay, but the hotel itself seems to be in an iffy neighborhood. My big complaint is that the mattress on the sofa-bed is horrible. It's about 1 inch thick, AND there's 3 metal bars that make the sofa-bed a really uncomfortable place to sleep.
