Every Monday, the Accor Hotels website runs an offer for the following Friday and Saturday nights. I guess it's designed to offload unsold rooms - so if a match is on, or a big concert, you'll not have much luck. But sometime, you can find a bargain. We picked up a Friday night room for £25. That's crazy! As to the hotel itself - well, it's fine and central, and for the price I paid I was more than happy. The staff were really nice as well. No complaints!

It's a city centre Ibis, so not particularly exciting, but clean and well located at a good price. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Worth noting there is more than one Ibis in Manchester - yours truly ended up back at the wrong one which was a bit confusing ???

Grat location, very comfortable beds. Shower was amazing, great value for money. Also the staff were lovely, if I could give one negative pointer it would be the toilet doesn't flush all that great the water pressure is too weak. But it doesn't matter all that much.

Thought the staff were very friendly and helpful ??? Rooms were good and as requested clean and all people in the party were happy . Breakfast was okay but I do like a fried egg with my breakfast . Flexible with our booking to allow us to check out a bit later as we had two people running in the great north run

Great place right next to the start of the Great Manchester Run so very handy to collect my race no the day before and extremely handy to nip to the toilet minutes before I started the race! Room was exactly what was required with lots of nice restaurants nearby. It was a 15 minute walk from Piccadilly station too.

We stayed for an entire week at Ibis Portland St, Manchester and truly enjoyed our stay. We had stayed before at Novotel which is just nest door and felt in love with the location, a few steps from Chinatown, many restaurants in the neighborhood , walking distance to all museums and shopping area. This is a standard Ibis: modern minimalism with a comfy bed. The buffet breakfast includes a wide variety of cooked and cold items. The wifi is good. The location is great for tourists. The city has a free shuttle bus system and route #1 goes right in front of the hotel. (Catch the shuttle at the regular bus stop in front of the Manchester One building one block to the left out the hotel door.) One tip: if you are noise sensitive be sure to ask in advance for an inside room. Portland Street... Read more

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. I haven't stayed in an ibis for some years. Although it's clearly a budget hotel the facilities are more than adequate. I didn't get a cheap price as I booked rather late for a very busy weekend. However the room was nice, and the new bathroom pods are very good. This experience will make me consider ibis in the future.

Waited at reception for several minutes before being checked in. Got to my room: - bed was so close to the door I could barely open it - air conditioning was on full - air conditioning unit leaked all over the floor all night when I switched it off. It made the floor soaking wet and I had to use a pillow to stop the dripping noise and soak up the water - no information about what car park to use and where this is The hotel is cheaper than others for a reason - it's not as good as others in... Stayed for 1 night at this hotel before flying back to Australia the following day, the hotel is situated in the central business district of Manchester and only a short walk to the Bus terminal and train stations which both service greater Manchester area and domestic services throughout the UK. I stayed at the Ibis in Portland Street for a quick stopover, no more than an hour before and after sleeping here. Usually not worth mentioning, even less reviewing, but I got to admit that the technicolour LED pulsed shower was the best I've encountered in any UK hotel so far. :-) My room was directly at the quite noisy road, but ear plugs are supplied and I didn't wake up.
