This hotel is the nearest to our offices, so I have been a regular user over the years. I have not had a need to visit those offices for a couple of years, so its been a while since I have stayed here. The welcoming at reception remains professional and friendly and soon I am off to find my room. Now the rooms have dated and certainly the one I stayed in, look like it was ready for a refurbishment. Don't get me wrong, it was generally clean and everything almost worked (a couple of dodgy sockets... Read more

I don't understand how there can be such a variation between the quality of the accommodation of the same hotel chain in the same city. I thought the whole point of having a brand name / chain was to give guests confidence to expect a similar experience across all the properties... This place needs to be shut down, it's so poor in so many areas, it's extremely damaging to the brand. If this were anyones' first experience of a Holiday Inn, it would definitely be the last. I've volunteered in bett... Read more

Room at rear of building,no view, small window, clean with a good shower, and hot had only free view, king size bed was good, and a real plus was that the room was for smokers.reception was warm and friendly, lift was small ,walls thin, breakfast good.Location a bit out of the way,but only 20 mins walk to the etihad football stadium.Wifi free, and worked well.

It was allright. The room was clean, service was good. However poor choice of breakfast -it might be ok for 2 nights but after a week your completly disgousted. No gym or any other sport facility is a huge inconvenience as well. Fantastic localisation though.

As a result of a concert at a nearby Stadium the Hotel charged in excess of 300 percent more for the standard double room. Therefore I can only review the room based on the £183 charged for it. No double bed, two singles pushed together, carpet that didn't meet the wall at the edges, someone else's hair of the dressing table, Mold and cracks in the plaster on the wall in the bathroom. It would just be satisfactory at £50, it's is terrible value for £183! Staff were nice and helpful as a s... Read more

Easy to find, just outside Manchester. Small hotel, so no waiting around to check in. Coach parked in the ground without to much hassle. I had to complain about the cold water, but that was sorted within 15mins. Staff seemed friendly and polite. Not bad for a holiday inn. Just need to sort out the dreaded shower curtain mouldy smell.

We stayed here on monday 30th May 2016 for 1 night, our initial impression was a nice clean hotel with pleasant staff. On going to our room on the second floor we noticed a strong smell of paint but saw no signs saying wet paint. After going to our room we decided to go out. As we walked back through the door in the corridor my wife caught her cardigan on the door frame and got paint on it. We went to reception and reported it, the receptionist spoke to housekeeping and they said there was a sig... Read more

Stayed 1 night as we had tickets to see Coldplay at the Etihad. The staff are friendly and our room was quite nice and larger than expected. We were on the ground floor, got checked in relatively quick staff are friendly. Drink prices are extortionate but I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat here but I must say the bar staff were really helpful one of ladies helped us out when the taxi we booked let us down big style and managed to get one for us within 5 mins. Stayed for one night as we were going to see a concert at the stadium. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the staff. We are ihg members who use the chain on a regular basis and they were very nice. The room however was dull although it was clean. The loo would not flush so we reported it to the man on the desk who said he would get it fixed. When we returned 7 hours later this had not been done. It would have been nice for someone to leave a note in the room explaining this B... Read more

Quiet at night, spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice little hotel for short stays. The hotel has a gym, pool and restaurant so you won't need to go far for most of your requirements. It's situated fairly centrally and the town centre is only a short taxi ride away, as is the Etihad Stadium. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I visited here on business for 2 nights. The £75 on room rate creates an expectation of a reasonable quality 4 star hotel, which it isn't. The people and service is lovely and the food was ok, just. But the room was sparse at best. Only one seat in the room was the desk chair, so no comfort at all. The bathroom was adequate. On the positive the bed was comfortable, and the air con was effective during the recent hot spell. You can enjoy a beer sitting the car park!! The location i... Read more

We booked this Hotel because we knew what a nightmare it can be after a gig at the Eithad stadium.Price of a taxi..getting out of the car park..finish times etc.. So we wanted somewhere nearby so we could walk there and back.Safety shouldnt be a concern as there are crowds of people leaving the stadium so you shouldnt feel isolated walking back after a gig.Its about 20-30 mins walk. At Manchester go in to the airport and call for a car hire. The black cabbies outside generally try to rip you off when going to the airport hotel because they want a longer fare. The hotel has a shuttle to take you to the airport for a minimal charge.
