This new hotel in the city centre is close to all amenities. A few minutes walk from the railway station it has all the comforts you would expect from a well designed modern hotel. The room was spacious, comfortably furnished with excellently proportioned single beds. Staff at all levels were pleasant, well mannered and extremely helpful. Although our 5th floor room was street facing there was virtually no noise disturbance whatsoever. The buffet breakfast on both mornings of my stay was plentif... Read more

Very recently opened. The front desk staff were amongst the best I have come across and deserve special mention. The Junior Suite I stopped in on the 7th floor was spacious enough to work, relax and sleep in and was very comfortable. The hotel is very convenient for the City Centre attractions and night life. The car parking is situated a short walk from the hotel in a NCP car park. There is a single bay drop off outside of the hotel and I would suggest that, if you have a lot of unloading to ... Hotels are not cheap in Manchester. This was one of the cheapest (I also think it's one of the newest?) The receptionist (Elsie?) was lovely and very helpful. We were allowed into our room early. We had room 218. Yes it overlooked the court and tram line (but you could only hear it a little bit). The beds were comfy and the room spacious. The only downside was that maybe the shower could have doom with being a bit more powerful - same thing goes for the hairdryer. The breakfast was amazing. Lot... Read more

Booked the hotel as a reward night and used points to pay for it. Arrived at 12:45 and went to reception and asked if there was a possibility our room was ready and the guy on reception checked and it was. Reception was very efficient, courteous and friendly. Our room was on the 2nd floor, you have to use your room key in the lifts to operate them to go up. The room was clean, fresh and very well equipped. We booked this hotel for a concert visit and were definitely not disappointed. Was fairly easy to find, reception staff were friendly and helpful, directing us to the off site parking which is just a stones throw around the corner and a great price at only £4.50 for 24 hours. Shops are in the doorstep. The room was bright, spacious and clean. Bathroom was lovely although lighting was a little poor in there. Only criticism was the toilet paper was cheap and nasty lol! I stayed here during the Parklife festival a couple of weeks ago and really couldn't have asked for more. The reception staff were always welcoming, helpful and efficient. The location couldn't be better - a stone's throw from Picadilly train station which brings you to and from the airport in about 15 minutes. The location was also particularly handy for us because the shuttle bus to Parklife went from across the road. We never woke up early enough to sample the breakfast so I can't comment o... Read more

The HI City Centre is a short walk from the Piccadilly train station. The hotel opened just a few months ago and the rooms are of an ultra-modern design. A lot of industrial grey tones, futuristic bathroom fixtures, USB power receptacles. Called ahead to get info on parking ad hotel doesn't have insure, very helpful staff, gave me directions and informed me re discount payment. So all good there, easy check in, rooms small but have everything you need for a few nights stay. We were opposite the elevators so got some noise from that but otherwise pretty quiet. Only negative was one elevator was out of service, for such a busy multi storey hotel this was an inconvenience. Location is ideal tho so recommend and would return.

Came for a one night stay, as we come to Manchester yearly we have tried a variety of hotels. For us this beats the rest, due to the location and the style of the hotel. I would recommend to my family and friends for sure.

I enjoyed every thing in this hotel. The room is nice and the location is in the heart of the city centre. The staff were helpful and the overall condition of the hotel was in a very good shape. I enjoyed lunch at the restaurant and I also used the very practical meeting rooms. I would definitely stay in this Hotel in any future trip to Manchester.

We stayed at this hotel on 4th November for 2 nights. The hotel is really handy for Piccadilly train station, being a couple of mins walk away. It's also central for shopping, eating out and good transport links. The hotel was spotless with plenty of staff on hand if needed. The rooms spacious, and the bathroom was fab. Not too sure about that mirror in the bathroom. It showed too many wrinkles! Ha ha. My only gripe, would be the wardrobe space. Not enough space for more than a couple of nights ... Read more

It all started so well! Beautiful hotel in a central location, close to the railway station and all the local services including restaurants. A warm welcome from the check in staff and a spacious and well equipped room, the foyer, restaurant and bar were stunning! One of the best quality and delicious breakfasts I have enjoyed at any large chain hotel, anywhere! Our departure was a disaster, I asked the receptionist at 07.30 to order a taxi for 08.30, to get me to the office in time for a mee... Read more

Stayed here in November whilst away on business. Property is clearly new and well appointed. Standard room is of good size, clean and well appointed. Bathroom was modern and also clean. Checkin smooth and hassle free even though I arrived before the official check in time. Would definitely stay again as value for money you can't beat this place for a city centre location..

It oozes efficiency. Great reception area, buzzing with activity. Lots of staff at hand. 4 checkin staff during busy periods. Chic seating area, nice bar, great breakfast. 4 lifts. Lovely rooms with classy HD TV. All in all a brilliant stay in the city centre for a reasonable price. The staff, the ambience and the style. Yes flagship indeed. Wish some of this percolates down to some of their express variety of hotels.

Stayed 2 nights in this new hotel in Manchester City Center. The hotel is perfectly situated to walk into the city center. Rooms are spacious and clean. Big walk in Shower, heated mirror. Beds are very comfortable. Definitely one of the best Holiday Inns I've stayed. Breakfast is good lots of options to eat. Lobby and Restaurant are nicely and modern decorated. The missing point for a 5 star rating is the house keeping. On both days the do not disturb sign is just ignored by the house keeping... Read more

This hotel is situated just over from Piccadilly station, cross the road walk down the ramp and turn to your right. We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon but the front desk service was efficient and friendly as always. We were given a choice of rooms and opted for a city view which meant we could see trams passing our bedroom window but the noise was never ever excessive. The room was usual Holiday Inn high standard but had a lovely walk in shower instead of a bath. What sets this Holiday Inn... Read more

This new hotel is conveniently located in Manchester City Centre, a short walk from many attractions and the Piccadilly Railway Station. Although there were problems with the reservation system and Internet at first, they were cleared up. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast buffet is of high quality - ample, tasty, and with something for all tastes. My minor quibble is that their coffee is weak.

Great location around a four minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. Customer service at check in was good, polite and efficient. Had a twin room located on the first floor for one night. Good size, zero view. Beds were clean, although too soft for my preference. Bathroom contained bath, shower, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner etc. Clean towels provided. Room had tea and coffee facilities and an iron. Hotel was quiet and able to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good quality and... Read more

It's a nice place. New and spotless. Rooms are great. Breakfast was really good. No noise from the busy street outside, but I was awoken at 01:30 by some very loud annoying noise; I think it was related to next door or above using the bathroom. Possibly some plumbing noise, etc. Very loud.Management need to sort this. I was in 219. Other than that a great place. Only 3 stars as I never got a good nights sleep.

I stayed one night to attend a conference at the hotel. Wow! Fantastic large room, loved the extended chair and proper desk with work lamp. The bathroom with walk in shower was fantastic. Tea facilities, iron, hairdryer all excellent. Good size TV and comfy bed. Plenty of plug sockets and a charging port. Wifi was also good. Breakfast had a great choice, corporate buffet lunch was fine and loved the biscuits served during breaks. Everything very new and clean and staff incredibly polite and att... Read more

This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn in Manchester because on previous visits it hadn't been built!! Check In:- We arrived after our check in time of 2pm to be told that our room wasn't ready and if we wanted to wait and get a drink (at our expense). We were also told that we would be informed by a member of reception staff when our room was available. After waiting some time we went back to reception to be told that our room was ready and when asked why we were not informed as promi... Read more

I stayed there only for one night and enjoyed every minute of it. Dave the Director of Sales, greet us upon arrival, which was great. The breakfast included had a good variety. Lovely room very spacious for Europe, and the best was the comfortable bed with many soft pillows. Beautiful bathroom, good amenities inside the room.

Arrived at checkin and were greeted by two lovely staff members. We were upgraded and given a complimentary drink and made to feel very welcome. The room was large and tastefully decorated. There were tea and coffee making facilities and the usual shampoo etc. We enjoyed a drink at the bar when we returned following our night out. Breakfast in the morning was a self service hit or continental type with plenty of variety. It was fresh and hadn't been out too long like some places. All in all this... Read more

My sister and I were very pleased with our stay here. Difficult to fault really, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Happy to print off our boarding passes for our trip home. Room was a good size and very clean. We had breakfast on the first morning, good selection, well stocked even though it was a busy time. Location is very good, close to Piccadilly station and the city centre. Despite its location, it was quiet.

This hotel is located very close to both Piccadilly train station and the city center itself. I could do everything by foot. The staff is very nice and helpful and the rooms are new, clean and quiet. Book some time in advance to get better rates, but definitely an excellent hotel to stay at.

We had booked a king executive room. However on arrival Rob and Adam offered us an upgrade to Room 801- "Best Suite" in homage to George Best. Wow! The suite has a lounge and dining area, separate king size bedroom and lovely bathroom with separate shower and look areas. In addition to kettle for tea and coffee making there was a Tassimo machine. 2 TVs. The service in the open style restaurant was slow, particularly for drinks orders. Our waitress offered 2 free cocktails because the order had t... Read more

Been here for 5 days in the Junior Suite. Firstly when we arrived, the manager (Adam) checked us in with a smile and was very informative and helpful and gave us tips on getting around. The room is very spacious and very clean and is also equipped with a Nesspresso machine! Maybe I missed this feature in the website, but all and all I was surprised. By the way, the walk-in shower was perfect!! Besides the excellent room, the hotel itself is quite new if i'm not mistaken and there is a very cle... Read more

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I particularly liked the Nespresso coffee machine (I have one at home) and the walk-in shower was fabulous. I had a room on the 8th floor with a wonderful view over the city. The staff were welcoming and friendly and when I'm next in Manchester for either business or pleasure, I would definitely stay again.
