My wife and I had two days in Manchester with a night at the Hilton Deansgate. We checked in and upgraded to the executive lounge which we thought was great value.Right from the off the staff were great and a pleasure to deal with. The drinks and nibbles from 6-8pm were nice and plentiful. We had cocktails (not cheap)at cloud 23 at night and what great views well worth a visit. The breakfast was also good and lots of choice.Great staff and great hotel will visit again.

Been a few times first time was great and couldn't of asked for a better hotel...but over the last 2 years it has really went down hill. Terrible service, terrible food ,which is not worth the money! Rooms are starting to get dirty looking our last room was shocking.dont think it had been cleaned. Really don't think I would stay hear again

I've stayed here maybe 20 times, usually whilst attending large meetings on the 1st floor. Great location: very close to Castlefield and Spinningfields for bars and restaurants and not too far from the main shopping areas. Fabulous views from higher rooms and the 23rd floor Cloud Bar. I had an odd stay last night when I had room service trying to enter the room twice followed by a phone call from reception at 1am asking my name and room details. Aside from that experience, I have had very po... Read more

Lovely stay in sunny Manchester. Free upgrade to executive lounge and room. Great views from the 18th floor. Breakfast delicious, especially the muffins, Nutella and fresh raspberries. Soaps and lotions in the room fantastic. Loads and loads of great restaurants within 10 minute walk.

Booked an executive plus room which was very nice. Had access to the lounge on the 23rd floor for free drinks etc. Only thing stopped me from giving 5* no bathrobes in room and had to ask 3 times for them to be delivered and 1 bathtowel between the two of us.

Aussie family here for a short holiday of 3 days. This hotel was chosen purely for its 20m lap pool as one of us needs to swim on a daily basis. The pool was wayyyy too hot though, especially since it is already indoors....something to work on maybe. From the outside the hotel is a little bit of an eyesore - very tall and grey - but with the silver lining that you can see it from almost anywhere in manchester and hence never get lost!!! The location of the hotel is not the best. The Northern Qua... Read more

This hotel is one of the best Hilton hotels that I have stayed. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much to accommodate you with any special requests. I would highly recommend this hotel as the proximity of the hotel is fantastic to visit Manchester City Centre for shopping and restaurants

We had vouchers for the Hilton and decided to use them for afternoon tea. When booking I mentioned it was my husbands birthday and asked for a table by the window. We were given a lovely drink with flowers and fresh fruit. The view was stunning. I was worried after reading the reviews but we found the food to be lovely. We asked for more sandwiches , which wasn't a problem. My only two negatives are: 1. It was really dirty where we were sitting. The carpet was covered in bits, as were the cu... Read more

This is a modern building with quickly deteriorating furniture and fittings. I emailed the hotel prior to my arrival and received no response. Check in was cold and not very welcoming. Concierge informed me that the valet parking was fairly full and only agreed to park my car once I reminded him three times that I had made a reservation over the phone that same morning. I had to highlight my name on his diary for him to agree that I wasn't lying. No business center is available despite the i... Read more

Probably.

Location was ideal right in the heart of Deansgate with excellent transport links via tram station which is found behind the hotel. Lots of bars and restaurants in close proximity along with a nice selection of shops. The communal areas were nice enough, however the room interior was rather dated with a number of marks and scratches on the furniture, not what I've come to expect when staying with Hilton. We didn't sample any of the extras, i.e gym, pool, spa or restaurants, and unfortunately did... Read more

I booked for us to stay here as a surprise birthday present for my fiancée & we really enjoyed it. We got upgraded to a king executive room which was nice although quite small. We got slippers & dressing gowns in our room & tea coffee & hot chocolate. We were on the 21st floor so had a good view of the city. We had afternoon tea in cloud 23 which was pretty average but quite expensive. It was £50 for both of us including a 10% service charge that had been added on. It was really busy & we had ... Stayed here last month, wonderful property, Cloud 23 fantastic, breakfast good and well stocked, rooms had lovely view. However... on having an early morning breakfast, I was shocked to witness two restaurant managers chasing a mouse around the breakfast buffet. Completely not the impression one should get from such a fantastic hotel. all in all great hotel, but pest issue needs tackling

I stayed here last year and wasn't on trip advisor at the time. But having recently returned to Manchester in different hotel. Remembered to write a report. We stayed here for a long weekend, it was nice room wise, and was clean. The staff need a bit of a reality check, as I got told by one girl, she had "more important visitors to attend to" I don't care if you have celebrities in there or whoever. We were paying customers. All expected mod cons in room albeit with a surprisingly limited range of channel viewing. I had free wifi as Honours member. Very difficult not to give the full 5 out of 5, given that the many positives outnumbered the very few negatives. Negatives: Pool is long and narrow so perhaps a bit impersonal, not a bad thing, but I don't like doing a length of the pool to a sideline audience ?????? Early check in would have been great, given I had spent the last three nights at a Hilton in US, but not possible. Needed a good quality hotel due to a theatre evening in the City Centre, I was in luck that there was a discount with the Hilton which made it appealing to stay as typically mid week the rates tend to be higher. The location is good for transport links and there are some nice restaurants in the area. But you get a very average experience for an expensive price tag. There is a high traffic of custom which means the carpets in the rooms have seen better days and I found our room in a bad state of repair (missing coat hooks, dirty bathroom sealant). I was also disappointed that for the £300/night price their were no bath robes or complimentary water. The buffet breakfast is good but the table service f... Read more

I haven't stayed at this hotel but my lunch experience would put me off doing so. I attended a lunch function where we were served 'Hunters Chicken' with potato wedges. There wasn't any vegetables at all, the BBQ sauce had been poured on top of the chicken rather than cooked in, no salt and pepper on the tables and when it came to coffee, mine was served in a chipped cup and no spoon to stir with so we all used our fork handle.

I made a last minute booking for my stay at the Hinton and paid £165 for my night stay! Just as I was in my journey to Manchester I received an email offering me a 1 night stay for £99!!! Hilton Manchester Deansgate is in a great location right next to Deansgate tram and train station and is very easily accessible. This hotel is also in walking distance to most locations in the city centre. The downstairs area of this hotel is stunning, large and spacious. Our room was nice but a bit "standard" compared to the rest of the hotel. We had drinks in the executive suite next to Cloud 23 which was great with views across the city - a really nice atmosphere for a cocktail or two.
