I stayed at this hotel as I needed to attend an appointment and I stayed 2 nights with my son. The service was brilliant from the time we entered till our departure. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner was lovely! Also the bar served nice cocktails and I absolutely loved the bar man's own made one! Friendly welcoming staff and a clean, decent sized room with a large TV and comfortable bed. Unfortunately my stay was spoilt yet again by the basics - air conditioning not working, and a stingy number of milk cartons provided in the room (why do hotels seek to upset you from the minute you arrive by doing this?!!). Also the lighting in the room was quite dim, including the bathroom (not good on the eyes).

Had a lovely day at the spa here today, the staff couldn't do enough for us! Very reasonable prices and we were given towels and slippers which was a nice touch. Lovely spa and lovely treatment! Even got prosecco by the pool! No silly rules a very laid back atmosphere and just a generally nice day! Would definitely return thanks so much

Visited here with my girlfriend, for an overnight stay in Sheffield. We mainly chose the hotel because of its Spa and Pool to allow us to relax. The hotel, grounds, lobby and restaurants are all very up market and you feel you are staying at a more exclusive hotel such as the Hilton. We were welcomed and offered free warm cookies, free wifi, free parking, and free use of the pool. The room was spacious, good sized bathroom, large TV, mini bar/fridge, air conditioning and a very comfortable bed... Read more

We stayed at the Doubletree whilst taking a 3 day visit to the peak district. This worked out fine for us. There was plenty of parking and close to the entrance. I was already smiling when after check in, they bribed us with a complimentary hot chocolate cookie each. I was offered a choice of rooms on different floors and took my preference. There's literally nothing I could pick fault with: it's a solid Doubletree hotel. It offers exactly what you'd expect from the chain. Very clean, friendly staff, good rooms and decent breakfast. The free drinks reception for Gold/Diamond members was a nice touch: thanks! It's not the most exciting hotel you'll ever stay in, and the location isn't particularly inspiring, but it ticks all the boxes. I'd return if I was in the area.

Needed a place to stay for a week, unexpectedly, and through a search on the Hilton Honors page, this location popped up. The hotel looked nice and could be used as a touring base into Yorkshire. The hotel is not located in the center of town, however, the city bus can be taken easily from in front of the train station to the hotel and vice versa (20-30 minutes depending on traffic). It's an easy walk from the hotel to a local pub/restaurant, chemist, and most importantly a self service laundere... Read more

The hotel doesn't have that terrible smell or formality. The staff is extremely nice. I felt like they are ready to jump out of the window when you just mention something you might want. I felt very comfortable there. The conference room was too cold for me but rest of the stay was very pleasant. This place is nice for relaxing and food is amazing.

This hotel has a great location in order to visit Chatsworth House and other stately homes in the Peak District. Public areas in the hotel are maintained to a very high standard. Breakfast in the premises is a delight. Staff throughout the hotel are friendly, helpful and highly professional. Unfortunely the suite 315 did not meet my expectations as it is badly in need of an upgrade. The furniture is dated and badly scored in places. Just here for one night on business. Tried it quite a few years ago when it wasn't a Doubletree and nothing much has changed since then in the limited public areas I saw. Still feels tired and in need of some TLC. My room was ok but the shower curtain smelled badly of dirty water. Well, I guess it would after a while, so why don't they check it? Place is in well out of the city centre. I don't mind that but they will have to try harder given the choices available in town.

We stayed here one night as we were visiting Chatsworth House the next day and it was a convenient location. As a Hilton Honors member we have occasionally received upgrades. The room was about expected except that the bathroom sink did not drain properly and one of the bathroom mirror lights was out which one would think that would be noticed and fixed by the room service staff. I will credit the responsiveness of the general manager however as I had completed a post stay survey and had give... Read more

Treat awful by staff, check in very painful experience even know I have been a Hilton member for many many years,no upgrade offered or given when asked, not even a clean room when checked in,ask for other room but not was so much trouble for the front desk staff who in my opinion need more customer training ( think they were both off when it was given) In my opinion you would be better off in a travel lodge down the road, so so sad when staying loyal to one company never seams to matter anymore.

The hotel was nice and the rooms were in a good condition and spacious, the windows did need cleaning on the outside however as rather dirty. The pool and gym were very good for the size and cost of the hotel. The breakfast was also good however old food needs to be taken away as some items were there too long and were inedible but was not being replenished. Many people would probably recommend the main city Center Quays Hilton but when staying several nights the simpler food this hotel offers gives it an advantage. The downside though is I don't think you can walk to any other restaurant. One other comment is Sheffield hotels can be fully booked so leaving a booking to the last minute might cause some problems.
