Stayed on a Saturday night and had pre booked and paid £85. Car parking for the night is a extra £12.50 which is not to bad. When booked I had asked for a upgrade if available and when checking in I paid a extra £26 for a club room. They have you 24 hour to a private lounge with tv, coffee magazines etc but also for 2 hours between 6pm and 8pm it was complimentary drinks. Well worth the £26 as a large wine was £8. You could have branded spirits, beer and cider and the lady in the lounge was... Read more

Arrived here around 11pm after a flight. The free shuttle picked us up outside the terminal and it was around 5 min's drive to the hotel. Check in was fast and we were given a free upgrade upon arrival. The room wasn't massive but it was big enough. Bathroom with power shower. Tea, coffee, hot choc and cookies in the room along with bottled water. The staff on reception were friendly. We used the shuttle to get back to the airports train station. It was a rough start because the Gold IHG members check in sign wasn't clear and the man checking us in seemed moderately disgusted that we weren't members and were in his line (mind you there was no one else in line and he was the next available). We ate at the Sports bar that was a bit dingy but our food was AWESOME! Room and bed were big but like almost everywhere in the UK, flat pillows (sad face). Hotel was spotless with excellent service in all areas, and was pretty much what you would expect from a good quality airport hotel. Stayed at this hotel many times and never been disappointed. The Asian Restaurant is lovely. Staff always friendly. Transfer back from T2 this time excellent (thanks Mark). Booked a complicated month's departure/arrival/car parking stay for July whilst here: initially one of the reception staff priced it up but eventually sorted (and at a better price) by senior member of staff - just feel something like this shouldn't be reliant on who serves you!.

I had an easy stay at this airport hotel. The bus collected me from the train station after a few minutes wait. I found a vegan meal and used the business centre for a few snacks and drinks. I was a little annoyed that the printers in the business centre were not properly set up for easy use - all I wanted to do was print my boarding pass. The breakfast was fine soy milk available on request. I particularly liked the aromatherapy/homeopathy products in the room. I'd stay here again for a night b... Read more

We stayed here for the park stay and ride package. The staff were friendly and helpful and our car was returned pristine. The room was clean and well decorated, and the hotel was quiet. The food in the oriental restaurant was very good (it felt like an upmarket restaurant rather than a hotel), but it is pricey. We are sat in the executive lounge having paid extra for the privilege and I love this idea to set my holidays off,but you really need to introduce a policy of no phone calls or FaceTime allowed in lounge it's just bad manners. Also a big no for me is that you don't have staff meeting in a vip lounge where people want peace and quiet and not to listen to the running of the hotel.

"We don't sell hot chocolate" said the barman as he was stood next to a price list on the wall, which clearly states they do. It's these little things, which makes a customer decide not to return. A hot chocolate with brandy is all that was asked for, but obviously this request was too much trouble for the staff. We were just staying for one night before our early morning flight. Check-in was good and straightforward. Room was clean and overlooked the car park, we heard no plane noise. We ate in the restaurant and all the staff were very friendly - food was hot and substantial. We upgraded to a Club Room which was small but well appointed and comfortable. The Club Lounge is well worth the extra. Good quality snacks and drinks with a very nice young woman making sure glasses were filled tables kept tidy etc. Continental breakfast is part of the package and was very good. Tra... Read more

This is the second time in a week I've visited this hotel. On the plus side you cannot fault the rooms, bed, shower etc all of which are good. The courtesy bus service I used in the first stay from the train station and this was really good. The food is of a high standard, we had an evening meal at the Grill and I had breakfast twice which was extensive in choice, though I advise pre booking to save money (£10 against £17). The bar is nice and drinks aren't too expensive. Where the hotel has s... Read more

We have stayed here many times and now if we fly from Manchester we always stay here. The rooms are nice and clean. This time it was very cold in the room, the corridors are warm but the air conditioning was on in the room. We tried to get some heat and couldn't so rang the desk and got no reply gave up after 5 minutes and walked to reception a very miserable foreign receptionist contacted someone to look at it. It was rectified but I shouldn't have to trek to the desk the phone should be answer... Read more

Our 5th stay in this lovely hotel. Very comfortable beds, would especially recommend the executive rooms which you get free use of their lounge. The Asian restaurant is amazing. We will be back next year! This hotel also has full air conditioning in bedrooms, unlike the Liverpool airport one.

We booked a fortnight before over the telephone. Spent nearly £300 on a night before flying 7 nights parking and another night before travelling home. Told the rate included breakfast after the holiday. Paid the latter over the phone and couldn't pay the earlier for some reason ? On arrival we were told that the car park arrangements had been changed and we hadn't been told but as a 'gesture of goodwill' we could keep the car onsite. Thanks. We then were told that the booking hadn't been paid... Read more

Stayed here one night before an early flight. Rooms are large and of a high standard. The bar is quite good on site and I ate at the restaurant for dinner which was quite good as well. Staff were nice and efficient and the complimentary shuttle was bang on time. Breakfast was plentiful and is a good option to fill yourself up before a flight. All in all I will use this hotel in the future when I have an early flight.

We only stayed here the one night, before jetting away on holiday, but we were very impressed with this hotel. I love to watch the planes take off and land, and so (as a wedding anniversary treat) my husband emailed to request a room facing the runway, and the hotel returned a very nice email, advising this was not a problem at all, and my request was indeed catered for and more, The email my husband had sent mentioned it was our anniversary, and the hotel had made a couple of towel swans on th... We stayed here the night before our holiday we booked for one night hotel accommodation and eight days parking . We where a little disappointed to be told that the hotel no longer parked cars at the hotel and we would have to drive to a car park a couple of miles from the hotel . That said the car park was very good and transferred us from the car park to the hotel . The hotel was very good and comfortable and the transfer to the airport was very good. All very good would be better if you... Read more

Close proximity to all terminals which are within walking distance. There is a shuttle bus if you prefer to ride, we took this option. The room we had was spacious, but was a little noisey because of the aircraft flying over. We had a room at the front of the hotel but perhaps one at the back would have been quieter.

Large hotel with ample parking, friendly staff and smart bedrooms. I have stayed a few times and have always found the hotel to be convenient for my traveling needs. The car parking arrangements have recently changed and you now need to accurately enter your details at reception. This removes the need to complete any paperwork or leave your car keys, which makes the process quick and efficient. However, car park charges are applied at £15 per day. Well worth the cost as you can walk from the ter... Read more

The location is great if you're flying into or out of Manchester airport, free shuttle bus and wifi make it that more accessible. One of the staff members on reception didn't float my boat as when I reached my floor the room number wasn't on the key but on the whole staff very agreeable and friendly. The bar area is clean and welcoming and the dine in meals are very good. The room size is ok and room very comfortable. Bathroom clean and tidy. I think Crown Plaza could up their game if they p... I stayed here twice in a week. The first time I had the room with several days of parking. This is an excellent service and very well priced. You park your car at the Peter Ashley Car Park and their bus takes you to the Crowne Plaza. Check in was quick and efficient. My room was clean and comfortable. I did not have to wait for the hotel shuttle to the airport. I then stayed again this past Monday. To take the shuttle from the airport, go to the phone by information at arrivals. We booked a business class room for the night before a flight. The rate included use o the business lounge on the evening for snacks and drinks, and breakfast. The room was good with a huge comfortable bed and all the facilities you would expect from such a well known brand. The food and drink of offer in the business lounge were good, with cheese meats bread and crackers as well as pastries and biscuits. Staff in the lounge were attentive and helpful too. Breakfast was good in the lounge and... Read more

We've stayed her many times, but not recently & we have to question our decision to stay elsewhere! The location is perfect, literally less than a 5 minute shuttle from all terminals. The staff are polite, friendly & efficient & what speaks volumes to me is that they retain staff, we have been seeing the same faces here for years. This visit was on a DB&B basis in a ground floor room with 2 double beds. The room is very large & airy, with bedroom (2 doubles) at one end & sofa & 2 chairs, coff... Read more

I stayed at this hotel as usual before a morning flight the next day and as usual the hotel room and the restaurant we ate in (Sampans oriental) were very nice. the rooms here are tastefully decorated and the beds are comfy, everything was clean and tidy. The hotel bar is good with sports playing on the TV and a Irish bar theme and not too expensive. the only issue I had was the parking, usually when I stay here the parking is on site, you park at the hotel and pick up your car from the hotel... Have just spent a night at the Crowne Plaza due to a flight cancellation. The room was acceptable though not to the usual standard of a Crowne Plaza Hotel. Three of us eat in Callaghans Irish Bar, we choose from the pub menu even though we were told that we could select from any of the menu's as there is apparently one central kitchen. The food was very poor. One of us ordered a burger, requesting that it be cooked rare. The waiter advised us that this was not possible as they only served b... Read more

Room was very cold and it looked liked a previous customer (or maybe hotel staff?) had tried to stop the drafts coming in through the windows by using a blanket across the window sill. The a/c unit gave little to no heat and that switched itself off at 5am and the temp got even colder. Bar area was quite busy (7pm) and the two very pleasant ladies serving struggled so had to go to the bar to order food. Only to be told I had to wait for them. Food eventually served was ok.
