Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed 1 night. The beds were comfy as well.. It was ideal for MEN Arena and shopping centre. All in walking distance. Parking is not included with hotel like it says on Booking .com. Car park available directly behind the hotel costing £16 for 24 hours.

Located in the centre on Manchester the hotel was perfect for are shopping dinner & Manchester Arena. All was going well till we got to are room. There was writing on the wall so I called reception. when duty manager came to look at it was told thay had a sabotage in the hotel, it was not cleaned off & no apologies. The windows in rood was dirty there was Brown stains on ironing board stains on roof. As for a good night's sleep 2am someone had the TV on in there room & ... Read more

Ok from the start it's a hotel with issues.I guess in it's heyday it was very nice but now its faded glory. However my wife and I spent two weekday nights and had no problems. We stayed in 254 a large room very comfy bed,yes furniture was very dated and decor was sad but it was only £65 per night. You don't expect to much for a city hotel at that price. The bathroom was clean new bath/toilet sink, wasn't finished very well !! but I've stayed in a lot worse. Very convenient for shopping and rest... Read more

After one night in Sacha´s, we changed our hotel. We went to Sachas because it is in our recommendation list. We were on business visit in Manchester for five days and luckily we got our hotel changed after one night, otherwise our trip would have been disaster. There were six of us and we all had terrible experiences, so I collect experiences from us all. Only one of us had a room with a window. Air conditioning did not work in every room, in my room there was hot (like in hell) and one of us ... Read more

At the end of the day you get what you pay for! -Yes very very basic room & comfy bed. - kettle & tea/coffee making facilities - average size bathroom, inc towels & toiletries - air con - TV & free wifi - good location into city centre Only complaints would be that the staff are slow in dealing with you on reception & the aircon was so loud with a constant buzzing we had to turn it off so the room was boiling as we had no window either!

Arrived late on after being at a gig - no bar open. Room cramped, some lights didn't work TV could only get 2-3 channels. Sleep disturbed by frequent loud machinery noises (?lift mechanism). Overall seemed in need of a bit of a refurb. Very handy location

Three of us attending a local conference booked a room via our work booking company and at nearly £100 a night we thought it to be an OK choice. Looking at the website it could not be more misleading, vibrant and elegant - more like sad and trashy. furnished, with modern facilities including tea and coffee making facilities - more like dated, tired & broker facilities with a manky kettle on a school dinner tray. The website photos are clearly not of any room in this hotel as the three rooms we ... Read more

I booked this hotel because I was going to a gig and found a great deal on a hotels site. The hotel is within short walking distance of both Oxford Road and Picadilly Train Stations. Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady on reception, asked if I wanted smoking or non smoking floor, booked me in quickly and I was on my way. My room was furnished well, very clean and welcoming. An enormous wardrobe hides behind the double mirrors. Plenty of hot water and towels provided. Everything worked an... Read more

Booked at last minute. Great location - can't fault it for that but misleading info on booking, com and a really poor quality of room - Not even worth spending time saying why. A very expensive bed in a poor quality room.Only redeeeming factor was quiet for the city centre

It is very worth it for the money you pay. Breakfast nothing special but very good. Hotel very tidy and very helpful staff. Fully recomended. It is very central and everything you need is near. Small bar but it is sweet. Worth it drinks not expensive. Something to change is the wifi because only in the reception is free you have to pay extra for internet in room. I would suggest to remove extra costs like the use of gym and pool and to have a window in room there is no need to pay extra too.

Booked a Double Suite for 2 nights for a Stone Roses gig at the Etihad Stadium on June 15. I booked and paid for the room well in advance (January) and was told on arrival that they had no double suites left but we could down grade to a double executive room for 1 night and swap over to the double suite for the following night. Very annoying when they've taken your money and then let your room out to someone else so not a good start. The double exec room was somewhat dated, the bed not very comf... Read more

Finding parking was easy, right next to the hotel but it isn't their discounted place. £16 per 24 hours, not undercover but perfectly safe as it's in the middle of lots of buildings. The hotel looks odd as you're in the car park, but don't let that confuse you, it's a pretty standard hotel, but just terrible. The heat and noise was unbelievable once in the room. I asked about the noise from the air vent and after playing around with it, it was suggested that toilet paper could be stuffed... Read more

Checked in on Sunday and was given a room on the 6th floor it absolutely stank of cigarettes. Opened the filthy net curtains and broken louvre window slats. Went to make a cup of tea, no milk so rang down and got some. Went to have a bath, no plug so rang and was told housekeeping would bring me one, they rang back saying there were no spare plugs!! Eventually after I had stuffed everything in the plug hole so I could have a bath, one was delivered. 2 lights were out in the bathroom. There was ... Read more

Really disappointed in this hotel. Its good for a cheap one night stay, but it was an unbearable nights sleep. I booked a room online with a friend as we were going to a gig at the men arena. Drove down and was offered 25% off parking. . Still 35 quid for 24hours like... When we arrived I was informed I had to pay extra for a room with a window... Are you kidding me? I obviously said no the the rip off merchants and we went to our room. Its what id imagine miss haveshams house to look lik... Read more

A very tired hotel with staff unaware of booking requirements. 7 lads booked into this hotel with booking made in advance yet we were given a box room with no windows & what would appear a partition put in where once it could of been a window looking up at the curtain rails & pelmet cover. To make matters worse you have a double bed (on the small size). When the toilets are flushed the noise of the water is loud & for your own room it takes an eternity for the cistern to fill. Quickest check in I've ever had here! ??? asked for an iron, one sent to my room within half an hour. Breakfast was not good! Hash browns were inedible. Staff were friendly throughout, rooms are basic but as I was only staying at the hotel to go to the Rihanna concert at old Trafford cricket ground it was somewhere to sleep.

This was not our first choice of hotel. But overbookings left us with no choice. The original hotel had to move us elsewhere.... And this was the only hotel in Manchester City Centre with availability at 11pm. Says everything. Oh my goodness, what an experience. Carpet dirty. Bed so tiny it was more like a single than a double. Walls filthy. The saving grace was the shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was not great. The whole place feels old, worn out and dirty. I booked this hotel mainly on price and location. Later I read some of the terrible reviews. To some extent I feel that they are a bit harsh. My room was well decorated and clean. The service was good and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Gym and pool fine. Breakfast good. Where they let themselves down is on the little things. The free WiFi in rooms only lasts for a miserly 20 minutes per day and then costs you £7 per day, whereas even non-residents can get unlimited service in the lobby. On thr... Read more

This hotel gets slammed for being a dump, I feel this is totally unfair on the establishment. I work around the world and stay at some amazing 5 star hotels, so know what opulence can feel like. This hotel does not try to be that and offers a clean room, cheap bar and great breakfast. If you want to pay the fancy prices, then do so and expect the fancy hotel, don't expect to be staying at this hotel with silver plates and servants, its a decent hotel for what it says it offers.

No windows in room, flickering bathroom light, one lamp broke therefore very dark room. 30 degree heat with no window or air con wasn't very pleasant. Lovely lobby area & friendly staff at reception, only thing that saves this place, otherwise I wouldn't book it unless I was stuck for a bed. Not a great visit overall.
