I admit I am not the most patient of people, but I don't like to keep people waiting, nor do I like to be kept waiting...so when at the reception nobody bothers to serve you, when they have seen you waiting and blank you, and you are stood there looking stupid for over 10 minutes, when they finally deign to acknowledge your existence and treat you in a thoroughly patronising manner, with no apology for the wait, I was not best pleased. Clearly customer service and manners are a low priority for ... Read more

Me and my partner booked to stay for one night through booking.com. we paid around £50 which I thought was very reasonable for the location. As we arrived before we were able to check in the reception staff were very helpful and looked after our bags while we went in to Manchester. The location of this hotel is very central, short distance from the train station, shopping, night life and museums. We went for the Christmas market, which was always within walking distance. When we arrived back at... Read more

This place is completely outdated it needs and requires a lot of TLC. The beds are probably the most uncomfortable thing i ever lay on (they still have caster wheels)the mattress was awful and every move could be heard around the room . As there was no window the smell in the room was nearly unbearable, it was a stale smell and to add injury to insult the AC didn't work (if it existed at all), the room was like a Sauna, which was very uncomfortable and I would argue unhealthy(there was a control... Booked this Piccadilly Sachas hotel through Booking.com by Visa for a single night, to visit the city. On arrival, after 140 mile journey, road parking only. Once at reception lone female receptionist repeatedly left us waiting whilst she apparently sought advice and guidance? from elsewhere. Refused to accept us due to boyfriend ( 20yrs )not having I'd on him. ( I did carry ID 19 yrs ). None of this explained to us when booking. Contacted booking and money refunded. Overlooked Trip advisor clie... Read more

I booked this hotel via booking.com for a 1 night stay at a cost of £177.00 room only. fortunately I had free cancellation as 2 nights before my arrival I rang to ask 2 questions 1. How much was it extra for breakfast 2. Could they cater for my wife's gluten intolerance The lady who answered spoke very little english and didn't understand my questions, she just kept saying your don't have breakfast. I quickly cancelled and found some where else. Very lucky escape.

Very central location, which made up for about all the inconveniences that we had. Very close to shops, museums, buses, supermarket, pubs... The room we had was quite large, good heating, a not very big double bed, but comfort was acceptable for two nights. The personnel is more than welcoming, ready to help asap. Wifi quite poor. You get 20 min free per day, and it is free in the main lobby, but don't count on it if you need internet access for more than an e-mail. You pay extra for breakfast... Read more

Stayed here as it was the cheapest place compared to the £200 plus for one night stay in Manchester. Expected it to be terrible and a horror hotel from reviews however you get what you pay for. Booked a normal double room with no window. Arriving the hotel looks very old fashioned. The room wasn't that bad. Was a typical low price hotel, it did the job for one night stay considering hardly any time was spent in the room. Due to no Windows the room was very very hot when sleeping, as well as th... Stayed here for two nights as I was attending a wedding. First of all the hotel itself is very old fashioned and is in need of some serious refurbishment, I almost felt like I was back in the 1980's. We were informed that the hotel has parking. It doesn't. There is a public street car park right opposite the hotel but you have to pay. We paid £16 twice for 24 hours. I suppose this was ok since the car park was so near but I wish we were properly informed. I stayed in a windowless twin bedroom w... Read more

What a s**t hole! Booked as a last minute stop over for a birthday meal, should have just got the last bus home. Rooms dirty old, no windows, air con does not work had to prop open door onto corridor to circulate some air! Before getting into bed also notice snot on the walls at the side of the bed and flees jumping on the side table!!! Went down to the gym and pool to try and make the most of a bad situation, the gym is run down and run by intimidating Eastern Europeans and the pool was filth... Read more

Our room cost £130 and the best way to describe it would be 'crack den' disgusting and dirty with cigarette burns in the duvet. Cigarette smoke came into our room all night, I attempted to call the front desk but the phone wouldn't work. We then went to the front desk and there was a massive loud party going on and no one to help us. Weird reception bar who gave us the wrong drinks twice. To top it off the rudest staff I have ever dealt with. We're pretty laid back but this was honestly the mos... Read more
