Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed 1 night. The beds were comfy as well.. It was ideal for MEN Arena and shopping centre. All in walking distance. Parking is not included with hotel like it says on Booking .com. Car park available directly behind the hotel costing £16 for 24 hours.

Ok from the start it's a hotel with issues.I guess in it's heyday it was very nice but now its faded glory. However my wife and I spent two weekday nights and had no problems. We stayed in 254 a large room very comfy bed,yes furniture was very dated and decor was sad but it was only £65 per night. You don't expect to much for a city hotel at that price. The bathroom was clean new bath/toilet sink, wasn't finished very well !! but I've stayed in a lot worse. After one night in Sacha´s, we changed our hotel. We went to Sachas because it is in our recommendation list. We were on business visit in Manchester for five days and luckily we got our hotel changed after one night, otherwise our trip would have been disaster. There were six of us and we all had terrible experiences, so I collect experiences from us all. Only one of us had a room with a window. Air conditioning did not work in every room, in my room there was hot (like in hell) and one of us ... Read more

At the end of the day you get what you pay for! -Yes very very basic room & comfy bed. - kettle & tea/coffee making facilities - average size bathroom, inc towels & toiletries - air con - TV & free wifi - good location into city centre Only complaints would be that the staff are slow in dealing with you on reception & the aircon was so loud with a constant buzzing we had to turn it off so the room was boiling as we had no window either!

Three of us attending a local conference booked a room via our work booking company and at nearly £100 a night we thought it to be an OK choice. Looking at the website it could not be more misleading, vibrant and elegant - more like sad and trashy. furnished, with modern facilities including tea and coffee making facilities - more like dated, tired & broker facilities with a manky kettle on a school dinner tray. I booked this hotel because I was going to a gig and found a great deal on a hotels site. The hotel is within short walking distance of both Oxford Road and Picadilly Train Stations. Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady on reception, asked if I wanted smoking or non smoking floor, booked me in quickly and I was on my way. My room was furnished well, very clean and welcoming. An enormous wardrobe hides behind the double mirrors. Plenty of hot water and towels provided. Everything worked an... Read more

It is very worth it for the money you pay. Breakfast nothing special but very good. Hotel very tidy and very helpful staff. Fully recomended. It is very central and everything you need is near. Small bar but it is sweet. Worth it drinks not expensive. Something to change is the wifi because only in the reception is free you have to pay extra for internet in room. I would suggest to remove extra costs like the use of gym and pool and to have a window in room there is no need to pay extra too.

The hotel looks odd as you're in the car park, but don't let that confuse you, it's a pretty standard hotel, but just terrible. The heat and noise was unbelievable once in the room. This hotel gets slammed for being a dump, I feel this is totally unfair on the establishment. I work around the world and stay at some amazing 5 star hotels, so know what opulence can feel like. This hotel does not try to be that and offers a clean room, cheap bar and great breakfast. If you want to pay the fancy prices, then do so and expect the fancy hotel, don't expect to be staying at this hotel with silver plates and servants, its a decent hotel for what it says it offers.

What can I say...firstly the room had no windows and no air conditioning, hot box! The outside of the hotel hasn't had a refurbishment in at least 15 years and the interior is from the 1970's. The staff were very unhelpful and didn't seem to go out of their way to help anyone. For £139 room only for one night, this is not a hotel it is more like a hostel with a private bathroom. No internet and no breakfast in that price. Which is normal and ok if the hotel standard is reasonable but this is far from a hotel with a reasonable standard. No windows in room and bathroom surfaced clean but not deep clean.

I travel frequently to Manchester for business and this is the first and last time that I visited this terrible hotel. I booked last minute and I regret not having read any reviews in advance as this would have saved me from a very unpleasant experience. The room I stayed costed my company £190!!! and it was a wreck! As soon as you approach the hotel you realise how dated it is, the lobby is impressively ugly and dated and looks very 'cheap'. I arrived at 22:00 and had to queue for at least 30... Read more

I can safely say it was the worst Hotel stay I have experienced On arriving I mistakenly went to the Pub entrance at the other end of the building and was somewhat concerned about all the drug dealer warnings at the entrance. Little did I know what was to come. When I first got to the room the key card didn??t work so I had to return to Reception When I got into the room the temperature was hotter than a Sauna but I was unable to adjust the temperature as the control had been removed. From check in to check out this place is the pit!. I paid £130 for a room. It had no windows, poor air venting (note i did not say air conditioning). The room was dire, small, undecorated, stained on ceiling as well as the floor. Bathroom must have been last upgraded in 1970!. I was so keen to get out, i set my alarm for 4.55 am and went to work 3 hours early. On check out i waited over 10 minutes for a member of staff to return from outside - no one was around. My room was gloomy, old fashioned and looked grubby. The sheets on the bed were old, frayed and worn. There was no kettle so I could not make myself a hot drink, although the tea and coffees were there. The shower head leaked and there was no plug in the bathroom sink and the water slow to drain. Paid £44 for the room as it was central and sleeping rough would have been more comfortable. The hotel is dirty and dated and the room was shocking. The fan or whatever it is in the room made noise constantly all night making it impossible to sleep. It sounded like dust was blocking air coming through and there's no switch to stop it. The room has no windows and there was hair in the bath. On top of all of this, a person above me showered at 5.30am and WATER LEAKED THROUGH THE CEILING on to the... Read more

I visited manchester on business and stayed overnight. I chose this hotel online. It was easy to find, very central with lots of coffee shops and restaurants (and shops!!!) nearby. The hotel itself was 'old school' but clean and tidy. The room was fine, if not plush, the bed was clean and comfy. All in all good value for money but not necessarily ideal for a romantic weekend!

First room was an chalk outline of a corpse away from being in a 80's American tv show... My upgrade was cleaner but stank of vomit... I honestly considered sleeping in my car. THE WORST hotel I've EVER stayed in... The staff didn't really care but I'm guessing they have constant complaints and are hamstrung by bosses. I'd rather sleep in a doorway with a tramp than stay here again. In fact I want my money back

We had a good 2 night stay on this hotel. The reception staff didnt seem to be friendly. The hotel is in a great location, the room was clean and quiet but it hasnt been renovated for years. There is no free wifi apart from the lobby area. They sell it with free wifi but once you get there you have only 20 mins free wifi and then you have to purchase it! My partner and I stayed here one night for an event at Manchester Arena. The hotel was very out dated, dirty and needs a lot of work. Room was very basic but had a fridge and the bathroom and bed linen was clean. Great location but car park outside £16 for 24hours. Between people shouting on the street, the pub opposite was open litterly all night and the building shuck when each tram passed. Bed covers were clean and bathroom was clean. Dated decor that smelt of paint; the rooms were tiny, poorly lit and the air con was ridiculously noisey; lift barely works; graffiti all over the exterior; broken windows; expensive breakfast; 20 minutes of free wifi and nothing more unless you pay; that gaudy sign outside....... its only saving grace is the location which is pretty central and about 10 mins from Picadilly Station.
