We recently got married at the Holdfast, and from the time we booked, up until the day after the wedding,it was absoloutely perfect !.The owners,Steven and Julie went well out of their way to ensure that our day was as special for us as it could be.The rooms, food and facilities were faultless. In fact, our only complaint was that it all went too quickly. If you want a intimate and beautiful location for your special day,We have no doubt that you will find it hard to beat this special little gem,with... Room was very comfortable, we only spent one night as we were in Malvern for a concert. The breakfast was very good. The location was very nice and would like to return in the summer for walks in the surrounding countryside.

All the good points on the reviews here are correct. I don't think there are any bad points unless you're expecting a big branded modern hotel. This hotel is a private hotel with charm and character, perfect for visiting Malvern and surrounds and the hosts have thought of everything you may need but if you should need anything else you just have to ask. Faultless friendly hosts. A nice older building with huge quirky character and comfortable traditional interior and furnishings. Old inner entra... Read more

In a nutshell, very clean throughout, lovely owners, feels like your stopping in a house and not a hotel chain. Shower over bath not very powerful, no draught drinks in bar, bottles only, nice breakfast, free wifi in the room, amazing views out the window. We visited Malvern centre for drinks, food and theatre, cost in a taxi £24.00 return, from hotel door, Garry Taxis reliable. About 2 mile from British Camp side of the Malvern Hills, car park £4.00 all day. Enjoyed our stay.

This is a short drive outside Malvern and not far from the Counties ground. Our room was pretty big, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom with, unusually, just a bath rather than a shower. It looked onto the large, well-tended garden. Breakfast was wonderful, with the eggs, bacon and so on cooked fresh and brought to the table with a jug of coffee. The hosts gladly provided my wife with a vegetarian option which she loved, especially the delicious fresh mushrooms. The owners were happy to have ... Read more

We held a 70th birthday party at this lovely hotel in Malvern. We live in Malvern and wanted to find a place which had enough rooms to accommodate our family. Steve and Julie were extremely hospitable and provided an afternoon tea, a superb three course dinner and bar. Tea and coffee was readily available. They have an amazing chef who was able to accommodate all our dietary requirements including lactose intolerant and vegetarian. We basically took over the hotel and had a wonderful time c... All about this hotel was very good. From the moment i met the Hoteliers to the moment i vacated my room the whole experience was great. Nothing was too much trouble, from the evening meals i had to the time i wanted the breakfast (earlier than advertised) the hosts were great. The rooms were "spot on" and i will call again. Thanks for making my stay very welcoming.

Booked here for 2 nights and found it to be well situated and in a delightful location. Close to the Malverns and Upton it provides a good base for seeing the area. Rooms are well equipped including TV; Free Wifi; Hair Dryer; Hot drinks facility. Breakfasts were more than adequate and served in delightful rooms overlooking the spacious gardens.

We stayed here for just the one night and wished it could have been longer. Only downside for me was the no dogs policy, so we had to leave ours at home. The resident dog Milly was a joy and gave us a lovely welcome. Everything was spot on, spotlessly clean and a tasty breakfast. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful.

Only a few miles from Malvern and its glorious range of hills. Down a short tunnel of trees just outside Welland, this quaint cottage covered in wisteria, in its own tranquil grounds, warmed our hearts immediately. Hosts Steve and Julie made us feel very welcome from the very beginning. All the food was ample and freshly prepared exactly how we wanted it. Andy the chef is highly recommended by us. All the rooms are up various flights of stairs as befits an older cottage (so would have accessibil... Read more

A friendly and very helpful welcome. Set back from a not very busy road but within easy reach of so many interesting places. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the meals are to die for - try the four night break for a good deal.

A lovely place out of the way but close to the Malvern attractions and other locations. The food in the restaurant is particularly good, backed up with good selection of wines and beer. Service from mine hosts is friendly but not OTT. Only drawback is dated plumbing in the bathroom.

We were a party of four from Ireland visiting Cheltenham for a day of racing and the general area for a few days sightseeing. Holdfast Cottage Hotel proved an ideal base in the most peaceful and charming of settings at very reasonable rates. From the moment of our arrival it was clear that owners, Stephen and Julie, were totally committed to making our stay as memorable as possible and they did. Rooms were cosy and spotless, breakfast was freshly cooked and substantial and dinner so good eac... Read more

The Holdfast Cottage is a charming hotel that dates back to the 17th century. My wife and I went to the hotel for an evening meal. There are two small cozy dining rooms. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. We had wild mushroom and chicken soup with homemade crusty bread. For the main course I had filet of beef. It was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. My wife had salmon which was also excellent. If you want a nice quiet evening with superb cuisine, this hotel is ... Read more
