We stayed recently for three nights a good welcome. Bed is large and comfortable every thing is very clean and a large bath room. Tea and coffee facility in room has good ingredients. The breakfast is cooked to your own personal liking which is considerate. And tastes good. Every thing about this place has that feeling of being done with care. Pretty garden Although the property is in a quiet country lane, The only problem is that when driving away from Detling coach house it is difficult to c... Read more

Stayed for one night. Room modest size but comfy. Lovely big modern bathroom with nice warm shower. Breakfast all you need really. I had to share my breakfast table with other guests that I didn't know as it was busy in the breakfast room. Lovely quiet location yet minutes from the main road which is great. Good value for money. Moved my bedside table to access the plug point and revealed a used tissue :(( that a previous occupant must have left behind.

I travel to Kent and stay with my 10 year old boy frequently and have stayed in many b n bs in the area. I have to say this was by far the best. Beautiful location and surroundings including a very pretty garden. Room was very clean and everything you needed provided. Although a small-ish twin room there was plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space and the bathroom was a good size. There was an initial mix-up with the booking on my end and the owner called me to sort it out at no expense although c... Read more

We couldn't fault this place. Attractive room. Beautiful bathroom. Loved the peace of the outdoors and the garden. In the country but close enough to Maidstone. Yummy breakfast with wide selection of options. Helpful suggestions about places to visit. Genuine interest in us and our doings. Sorry to leave

Excellent from arrival to our departure. We arrived late and were greeted with a cup of tea. We stayed for 3 nights, the bed was very comfortable and the accommodation spotless. The breakfasts were super. We would defiantly stay here again- Tina and Eric

The Detling Coachhouse is a family-run bed and breakfast in a very nice setting. It's well connected to the tourist sites of Kent and also close to the Detling Showground. Easily accessible it can only be accessed via a small road so it is absolutely quiet. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is very relaxed. The website says they would also arrange evening meals, I only had the breakfast which was fabulous. Modern bathrooms, everything very clean.

This B and B was lovely. Fantastic gardens, lovely old oak beams, great skylight in the room to give you plenty of air at night, lovely en suite bathroom, fantastic breakfast. Really good location to a local wedding in squirrel wood. Friendly, helpful staff, couldn't fault it for the money!!!!

The Coachouse is set in a beautiful quiet tranquil place just off the M20/A2. It tucked away off the main drag but well worth the trip visit. The lady owner makes you very welcome and cooks a beautiful breakfast. The rooms are lovely and clean, lots of tea/coffee, extremely comfy beds! As you can guess I've stayed here before! Great value for money and would highly recommend.

I only chose this based on location to North Downs Way....but wow! A lovely hidden gem. The house is gorgeous and the garden is beautiful. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless. I couldn't stay for breakfast, as I was leaving very early but the owner showed me where everything was so I could help myself. I'd brought my own food, as I wasn't expecting that. I wish I could have stayed for longer. Highly recommended.

This is a very good B & B, located on a quiet lane just off the main dual carriageway. It has a beautiful garden. Our room was well furnished, very clean and comfortable. We were given a warm welcome and a greatly appreciated cup of tea on arrival. We had an excellent night's sleep and breakfast the next morning was good.

'Although it's a little out of the way - and you probably will drive past it the first time - Detling Coachhouse has everything you need, from the warm and friendly welcome to comfortable, clean rooms, full of character, with excellent tea and coffee making facilities. We were a party of 5, staying 2 nights for a family wedding and although the phone signal isn't great (depending on your phone provider) the free Wi-Fi is extremely reliable and a godsend for us to contact family in the area throu... Despite arriving early, the lady got our room ready so we could go in before we left for the festival which was much appreciated. She found out details of the route there too so we didn't make the mistake of walking into Maidstone which was uphill on the way back! The room was beautiful with a beamed ceiling, very comfortable and clean. The garden is a lovely place to sit and relax. Breakfast was delicious with full English, cereals, pastries, yoghurts, cold meat and cheese and toast. We really ... Read more

'This is a lovely house in a quiet place a little off \'the beaten track\' in the Kent countryside.. The room was very comfortable, the host welcoming and despite the heavy rain I slept very well.' I had a very good dinner in a nearby pub restaurant as they recommended.

Wonderful welcome to a beautiful building. We had an upstairs room and therefore had wonderful beams from the building. Room was comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was very good especially the sausages. We will use this again if we are down that way again.

Good location , but Rooms very small and was exceptionally hot when we were there. Only had a fan and windows didn't open very wide. Ensuite very small, but shower was ok. Rooms cooler downstairs . Breakfast was average/poor. Not a lot of choice of cereals, and the cooked breakfast wasn't very nice . The owner I believe was away at the time . Was disappointing after reading previous reviews.

My wife and I needed somewhere to stay near Maidstone for a night before visiting friends and the usual chain hotels that we normally use were all full or described as noisey, which we did not want having just had a stressful day at a funeral. Searching Trip Advisor I came across this place which was highly recommended. I am glad I did because it was clean, quiet with the promise of an excellent breakfast. We were not disappointed. Although I had used street view to locate the coachhouse when w... Read more

Tucked away off the main roads so extremely quiet. Made to feel very welcome and breakfast was lovely. There was a variety of cereals, juice followed by a cooked breakfast. Will be returning regularly as very close to spires Alexandra. Prefer this to the big hotels

What a fabulous find, right on our doorstep too. Enjoyed our stay so much, we booked an extra night. Breakfast was tasty too :-) Recommend, recommend, recommend!! A summer visit looks like it could be interesting... Lots of rambling to be done. All amenities were available including WiFi. Hosts were lovely and very accommodating.
