Well the weather might have been a bit "iffy" but the warmth of the welcome found at the Beech Hill Hotel would be hard to beat. This is a beautifully appointed county house hotel, with comfortable bedrooms and the staff are a credit to the owners. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We stayed on a 2 night package which included dinner one evening. The food was first class and so tasty we ate there again on our second night. We would return here again and recommend this to a... I stayed for two nights at the Beech Hill while on business. From the minute of my arrival until the minute I left the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The gentleman who welcomed me also offered to carry my bags to my room. This was greatly appreciated. The room I stayed in had been recently refurbished and was beautifully decorated, large and spacious. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. What a great stay we had at Beech Hill Country House Hotel for my husband‚??s birthday. It‚??s lovely to find a hotel that has individuality and values their customers. As a disabled vegan guest (how unlucky was this hotel) we stayed mainly because they offered a vegan menu, which means they already understand vegan guests. They were very welcoming; Ashleigh on front desk couldn‚??t have been more accommodating. After an initial mix up with our room we were offered the choice of a junior suite ... Read more

The rooms were large, elegant but with all the touches of modernity one would require. Dinner was an elaborate affair with a 2/3 course menu. I had steak and it was delicious. The cooked breakfast in the morning was also well executed, especially the eggs benedict. The hotel is located a bit far out of town but has a beautiful huge garden, which will keep one entertained.

We have had two nights here. The decor and furnishings were beautiful. Our room, whilst nicely furnished was a bit on the small side for two people and there was no where to put our two suitcases. Singles on our tour has larger double rooms. It would seem more suitable to put a single traveller in the smaller double rooms and couples in the larger doubles. Meals were very good...delicious but a bit on the expensive side.14 pound for fish and chips. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The garden... Read more

Beech Hill Country House Hotel makes for an idea stay after a day's drive from Belfast or up from Country Donegal. A large, historic house on immaculately landscaped grounds, it comes with a nice bit of history mixed in -- the US marines stayed here during WWII, documented in an extensive exhibition of photographs and other artifacts in a couple of the common rooms. I stayed in the modern section where the rooms were clean, fairly modern and very large. Both the continental breakfast and dinner... Read more

A charming period hotel, when we arrived we were upgraded, the room was very comfortable and with an outstanding bathroom which was also in character with the house. We went down to dinner and we weren't disappointed! enjoying the view of the garden and waterwheel while we ate. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in a nice relaxed manner. There is a lot of history behinfd this very well preserved Hotel and you may find it in dedicated rooms and the photos on the walls! A very charming place surrounded by a park with itineraries for families and children, this hotel offers very well maintained rooms that still conserve a pleasant touch of tradition. The staff is friendly and familiar, always ready to accommodate your requests. To complete the picture I would also recommend the restaurant that is definiteky good value for money!

This was our second stop and a nice treat, coming from a B&B. The property is gorgeous and you should explore -- take a photo or two. The rooms are quite comfortable and large, including the bathrooms. We waited in the lounge while the room was being readied and our luggage was there when we were notified it was ready. Overall, I think the location is perfect - just outside of Derry and more rural. Easy access to Derry and heading to Malin Head, which is what we did our second day.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel, a country hotel yet very near the city centre. Set in beautiful a woodland area with amazing landscapes and heritage associated with the hotel. A warm welcome by friendly and professional staff. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and full of character. But the highlight is definitely the food from breakfast, lunch to dinner the menu, full of locally produced foods was a pleasant experience. Special dietary requirements were catered for ... My husband and I called one afternoon last week. We both ordered soup with sandwiches. Soup was just ok but the sandwiches were dry and tasteless. I had ham the bread was awful and wasn't ,buttered to the edges and neither was the ham.my husband had cheese and onion again the same plus a pot of coffee. The price was over £20. If this is the standard of a 4 star hotel I despair.

Fantastic as always. Professional, friendly and always a pleasure to go back. My husband and I were married here 11 years ago and the service and high standards are always consistent. For fine dining we found both the food and service faultless.

I have been travelling for years to all different countries and staying in all types of places and this is my fav. It was like living back in time during the 1800's and being a lady of the house !!! our room was just beautiful with period furniture , with the hugest bed , but our bathroom was totally modern, they have done their best to use bath toilet etc more in keeping with the olden days. It has its own woodland that you can go on walks and really feel you have stepped back in time. Food no... Read more

Wow! The rooms in this hotel were wonderful and beautiful with every amenity. Each person in our tour group had a room that was totally different from anybody else. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing, made from fresh ingredients, grown right on the grounds. We met the Gardener, Robert, the next day, and he was a fount of information about the gardens and the area. The owner gave us a tour of the house the next morning, she was so king. This is a hotel definitely worth visiting!

I hadn't heard of this place before but our friends booked it for a weekend away. Very impressed by the character of the place something usually only found in older buildings and the owners certainly haven't tried to modernise at risk of losing this charm. Staff were all very professional courteous and friendly at all times. We had a superior room which was very spacious and comfortable. We had one evening meal which was very good, I believe a lot of the vegetables, herbs etc are grown in their ... Read more

A very personal and welcoming staff, fully prepared for our arrival. A quirky museum to the American marines who were based there during WWII. Our room was simply superb with a roll top bath in the corner of the room. A plush large comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. Had dinner in the Restaurant and quite simply the best ever. Breakfast was fabulous as well, and staff and the owner made the whole stay one to remember. This is now a place to go back to on a regular basis.

From the first day to the last, our experience was second to none! Beech Hill is historic and elegant; yet friendly and comfortable. A fabulous breakfast every morning, was served with the same elegance on the beautiful enclosed porch. The hotel also has full service lunch and dinner. The front reception area was lined with photos of dignitaries who had stayed there. It was an impressive display! Our room overlooked waterfalls and a manicured lawn. This was by far the largest, most beautif... Read more
