I travel a lot. This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The curtains were hanging off the rails. The bath had a hole in it. There were coffee stains up the wall. The kettle was filthy. The carpets were filthy. The duvet was little more than a lumpy sheet. Bed was awful. Widows looked as they were about to fall out. I asked for a quiet room so they put me at the front right on the main road over reception???? You had to hand the key in if you left but there were no safe deposit f... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times because of its location which is near to family living in Muswell Hill. Our room was basic and unbearably hot, sleeping was difficult, but the reason we will not return is one of security. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so on the day of departure we left the hotel prior to check out time and left our case and my wife's bag with her handbag inside, in the room. On our return we made our way to our room to find the door ajar with our case ... Read more

This hotel was part of a deal which included tickets to a West end show and was very good value! The hotel itself was very pleasant, the staff were friendly, the reception was bright and open and the breakfast was nice and peaceful plus breakfast was lovely although I felt it was too expensive. The room was fairly small but that was not an issue, shower was nice, room was clean and overall it was a good room to rest our heads especially as I had a lovely sleep. We didn't get a chance to go out... Read more

the location is a bit too far away from everything its a 5-10 minute bus ride from highgate tube station. the staff were great so pleasant and friendly. everything was explained to us - menus, prices, check out time etc they didnt mind me buying from the bar or going out for a cigarette at 3.30am! the room was very spacious however it was uncomfortably hot even though a fan was provided we couldnt use it as phone and tablet were on charge and the bedside power points are not uk standard (thats... I view the Raglan is an antidote to the soulless chain hotels I usually frequent. The place has character and a certain charm but once you pass the clean and modern reception area you ascend into a rabbit warren of corridors, dead ends and misleading signs. The rooms are small....very small. And rather claustrophobic. WiFi is free and strong. Breakfast is excellent. I recommend the poached eggs. Location is perfect...if you like Muswell Hill. I would be suspicious of anyone who doesn't ... Read more

You can do better than this I promise you. Even though it is a 3 star hotel there is plenty of competition out there. The carpets are stained and rucked, the shower and tap almost worked (dribble of boiling hot water only), the sink was blocked, the windows didn't close properly, keep the curtains drawn as the windows are so dirty you feel itchy, the fittings and furniture are tired/broken/want to be put out of their misery, your breakfast order is ready when you hear the yell from the kitchen, ... This hotel located within reach of busses and tube stations, but in need of refurbishment, getting to my room needed navigating through a complex maze of stair cases and lobbies it can be confusing, I did expect the reception to have provided a porter to show me the way rather than carrying my cases up steep stairs, looking on the walls for directions through the maze, the bedroom is a converted double bedroom to a twin see photo you can tell from the head-board, bed slips on its wheels while sa... Stayed here for three nights in July. The room was clean but very outdated and extremely small. The hallway smelt musty and the carpet was extremely dirty. The breakfast was very good and the location was great. The hotel is old and needs a complete overhaul.

Myself and a few friends stayed here prior to an Arsenal game as all the Islington area hotels were charging crazy money for rooms. Hotel was old but well maintained, the room being more than adequate for a one night stay. There's plenty of food and beverage options no more than 5 minutes away, the wetherspoons on the roundabout in particular offered a great value breakfast. There's a bus stop at the roundabout if you require a bus to get you to Finsbury park and connections further. A gave the ho... Read more

We didn't know that the hotel we about to close when we booked it. After staying there I can understand why. The communal areas, especially the stair way's were horrendous. The bathroom was in urgent need of a refit. It looked dirty, but having said that. For some reason there was a new shower unit installed. I stayed for 2 nights. The cost of the first night was £95. If I had seen the room before hand. I would have found alternative accommodation. DO NOT STAY HERE, EVEN IF YOUR LIFE D... Read more
