My partner booked a two night stay for us for new years eve (romantic i hear you say), but the stay in the Paddington was like staying in your aunts box room. Shower, sink and bathroom generally dirty (black!) with the floor a treasure trove of the previous inhabitants hair pins and a dirty sock! If there was a room clean then it escaped me.... Notably the unmade bed. We met the Spanish inquisition when asking for some milk for the room when none was provided, the young man insisting on a full i... Read more

Small blueprint. The hotel is 4 floors and a basement for breakfasts. There are NO lifts and a lot of stairs to the top. Breakfast room was very small and I felt uncomfortable being so close to other guests. The hotel only offers continental breakfasts. I feel the price I paid £110 for a night was overpriced. I know it's London so prices will be higher. Expected more for my money. Very close to Hyde park, perfect for winter wonderland. Which is what we did. Closest station is underground Paddin... I had back pain for 3 days after sleeping in this kind of hotel... The beds were horrible, there is no space to put your luggages on the floor and the sink is ok if you are not taller than 1,2 meter... There is no elevator and you need to buy the adaptor for the chargers, in the wardrobe you can put no more than a jacket otherwise the other will be hanging on the fridge

I booked this hotel at the last minute due to a change in travel plans and considering the price I paid it wasn't bad at all. It wasn't the Hilton, but then I didn't pay Hilton prices, so that wasn't what I expected :) It's about a 5 - 10 mins walk from Paddington station and it's easy to find (2 straight roads). It's also about a 2 min walk to Lancaster Gate tube and the same to the park. I arrived quite late, but the reception were very efficient and quick and got me checked in without any... Read more

I booked this hotel on LateRooms and paid £75 so for central London I wasn't expecting much. Plus points - it's central (10 mins from both Paddington and Lancaster Gate statons). The staff were friendly. The shower was powerful and hot. It had good supplies in the room of tea/coffee and milk. Negatives - it is a little shabby and if you're on the top floor prepare to be knackered as there is no lift. The room we had wasn't big but was fine for one night. The bathroom was certainly bijoux. I can... Read more

We paid under £100 for two nights in a double room.... AMAZING value! The staff were all very professional and polite... especially the lovely lady who works during the breakfast! The room was clean enough.. but the bed was not very comfortable tbh We had internet in our room... which was a plus... the breakfast it's self was ok... though it would have been nice with some vegetable toppings... cucumber...red pepper or something... All in all an amazing value hotel in central London.

It's centrally located, and not a bad price - for London. The decor around the whole hotel was pretty tired and shabby looking, but I had a good size double room. No lift, but luckily I was only on the second floor. I was only staying 1 night, arriving very late to sleep over after a function, so all I was really needing was a comfy bed and a decent breakfast before heading back to work. The bed was comfy and the shower was clean and powerful. Sadly the breakfast that was included was really... Read more

We were staying for 2 nights during the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations and the accommodation was perfect, a comfortable double bed, large room, powerful shower and free breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to leave our bags after we had checked out so we continue with the celebrations luggage free. There is no lift but this was no problem after walking around London and the tube stations all day what are a few extra steps! So close to Lancaster Gate Underground s... Read more

Staff where unfriendly and unhelpful, demanded a passport number! We had traveled from Bristol and where unaware that there where border patrols at each county. We had to hand over a driving license before we could check in. Room was shabby and cluttered. One person on bed while other walks round. When you have a shower, once water filters though lime scale you have just enough to wash with. Actually felt dirtier then before. Going for breakfast staff just pointed no words nothing. It's a real s... Read more

I booked this for two nights to see Coldplay at Wembley I wanted somewhere that was close to Paddington Station and the underground We walked straight past this place at first as the hotel name is only on a small plaque On checking in was asked for our passports which I had forgotten to pack as in my opinion Cornwall to London ain't foreign travel, I had no photo I'D but they took my creditcard details. We were given room 17 which is on the top floor up four flights of stairs and across sever... Read more

We booked a family room in this hotel for one night as it seemed like a good location for getting around London. It??s about a 5-10 minute walk from Paddington train and tube station. The hotel is on a main road, so it was a little noisy. It was also one of the few reasonably priced family rooms that had an actual bed for my daughter rather than a camp bed or sofa. The hotel was clean and comfortable enough, nothing fancy, but perfectly acceptable. The room was pretty big, the beds comfortable,... Read more

Wished I had done some pre research on this hotel. Really not my kind of place and can't imagine why people would choose this if they were able to see realistic photos of what it's actually like inside. It's horrible. Why can't the owners just invest in some paint and tidy the place up and replace the disgusting carpets that must have thousands of DNA 's impregnated and goodness knows what else. Really not attractive. It's the same all over the hotel. The bedroom looked it was perfect for a rent... Read more

Very very tired hotel. The bed was clean, which was my biggest stress! The staff were very polite. Price wise very reasonable given the proximity to where we neede to be but I will not be rushing back!

This hotel looks good on the pictures on the booking site but the reality is far from it. The outside and public areas are not welcoming, clean or in a good state of repair. The room was ok, comfy bed but on the whole poor. Good choice of tv channels, no lift or WiFi other than in lobby. Come on this is 2016 put WiFi in throughout. The welcome was polite but didn't feel welcoming. Of all the hotels I have stayed in in the UK, I have never been asked for id. As for the area, the whole of Paddingt... Read more

Room was fine. Clean which was the main thing. As others have said the main fault was the amount of stairs. Good workout though I guess. We had to check into a hotel across the street for some reason but wasn't a major hassle. Oh your breakfast cereals are way out of date. We found some from April . Bit of a date check needed there guys ???

The location of this hotel in Paddington is excellent, a 3 minute walk from both Lancaster Gate Underground and Hyde Park. On arrival, a notice on the hotel door advised that the reception for the Pddington was closed and now transferred to the Westbourne Hotel across the street so guests had to go there to check in/out. On entering the Paddington the first impressions are not welcoming with a dirty stair carpet and musty smell. The room was average and had no chairs to sit on meaning we had to ... Read more

Reserved a room with the aim to allow my friend, time to recuperate after a 26 he flight. Instead had a room at the top if the hotel, far too hot with minimal ways to cool the room. Ended up with a rather sleepless night and a less than satisfactory rest. Breakfast looked good but ended up with bad and lumpy, off milk ruining the whole affair. All in all a very unsatisfactory stay!

I have to say it was the close proximity to Hyde Park that drew me to this hotel plus of course the price 2 nights 2 people + breakfast £195 when all the other hotels were charging twice of not more Positives Five minutes from Hyde Park Clean rooms Five minutes from local tube and ten from Paddington Station & tube Friendly staff and very helpful Breakfast was toast cereal boiled egg etc don't expect a full English - it was plenty though :-) Negatives Tiny bathroom see pictures I was sat on ... Really good location as we were going to a concert in Hyde Park. The room was clean, but that was pretty much all the positives. Very, very hot in the room with a fan that just moved hot air around. No lift, so lots of walking and breakfast was rather poor. I wouldn't stay again but it served a purpose!

Spend a few pounds more and get a proper hotel in London. The only perk was location. There is no reception. You have to go across the street to even check in. No elevator. Had 40kg of luggage that my boyfriend and I had to lug up 10 flights of stairs to get to the top floor room. Breakfast is a complete joke. Beds were horrible. Definitely not a place to stay for a romantic weekend in London.

After seeing this hotel had been rated 3* and saw the decent (fake) photos of this hotel, when we were arrived we were beyond disappointed. So disappointed that we paid £250 extra to stay at the Westbourne Hotel which was more than delightful. I broke down into tears when entering the small, dark, musty room. The prison wash basin topped it all off for me, my boyfriend was just as mortified as I was. All in all, horrific experience and will never consider staying here again unless it is knocked...
