We arrived at the hotel that looked so run down and dirty from the outside. On the door was a message to go the Westbourne hotel opposite to book in at their reception. This hotel appeared to be a 3 star accommodation. We were then kindly escorted to the Paddington to be shown 2 rooms, both were unacceptable as a 3 star. Choosing the one on the 3rd floor over the 4th floor room, they appeared the same. My pictures high- light the condition of the room. Mildew stained shower cubicle, sink tap not... Read more

The hotel was easy to find check in was quick and the staff were very pleasant. The room was cosy but very comfortable. It was a good location for the event we were going to. Check out was a bit stressful and they managed to use the wrong credit card to settle. I would return.

As I am reading these other reviews, I am puzzled as to why they are saying there is no lift and referring to "10 flights of stairs". The Pacific Hotel is only 4 stories tall, and there is a lift, albeit a small one to hold only one person at a time...but it was there and it is how I moved my luggage up to and from the 3rd floor. Traveling alone, all I needed was the simple, single bed room, which was tiny, but that did not bother me. I had my own shower, toilet, and sink and while plain, every... Read more

Cheap and cheerful , located in an excellent position to get around London . Rooms clean , clean towels and bedding . Lovely Continental breakfast daily that is plentiful . I can't understand why people moan about the place , if you want 1st class stay across the road ..... lots of stairs to climb but I would definitely stay again !

After seeing this hotel had been rated 3* and saw the decent (fake) photos of this hotel, when we were arrived we were beyond disappointed. So disappointed that we paid £250 extra to stay at the Westbourne Hotel which was more than delightful. I broke down into tears when entering the small, dark, musty room. The prison wash basin topped it all off for me, my boyfriend was just as mortified as I was. All in all, horrific experience and will never consider staying here again unless it is knocked... Spend a few pounds more and get a proper hotel in London. The only perk was location. There is no reception. You have to go across the street to even check in. No elevator. Had 40kg of luggage that my boyfriend and I had to lug up 10 flights of stairs to get to the top floor room. Breakfast is a complete joke. Beds were horrible. Definitely not a place to stay for a romantic weekend in London.

Really good location as we were going to a concert in Hyde Park. The room was clean, but that was pretty much all the positives. Very, very hot in the room with a fan that just moved hot air around. No lift, so lots of walking and breakfast was rather poor. I wouldn't stay again but it served a purpose!

I have to say it was the close proximity to Hyde Park that drew me to this hotel plus of course the price 2 nights 2 people + breakfast £195 when all the other hotels were charging twice of not more Positives Five minutes from Hyde Park Clean rooms Five minutes from local tube and ten from Paddington Station & tube Friendly staff and very helpful Breakfast was toast cereal boiled egg etc don't expect a full English - it was plenty though :-) Negatives Tiny bathroom see pictures I was sat on ... Reserved a room with the aim to allow my friend, time to recuperate after a 26 he flight. Instead had a room at the top if the hotel, far too hot with minimal ways to cool the room. Ended up with a rather sleepless night and a less than satisfactory rest. Breakfast looked good but ended up with bad and lumpy, off milk ruining the whole affair. All in all a very unsatisfactory stay!

A good hotel, clean but old, with a great staff . I was in room number 19( 4°floor ) main problem is elevator ( doesnt exist ) . The staff sped up the breakfast to start-up 30 minutes early for help us.the location is good.many restaurants, stores and subway station near. Always we ask the reception they are fast to help us.
