I spent 3 nights here to attend meetings at the government buildings, which are within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The front desk was very efficient and we got to our room within seconds. I booked the top floor suite, with 180 degree river view. The neighbourhood was quiet and pleasant to walk around. This is a nice business hotel. Will stay here again for business next time.

Just a one night stay to go to a show. Right in the centre of Westminster within easy walking distance of the river, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. The hotel was modern, welcoming and comfortable and serving a good breakfast. Only negative was the iMacs in the bedroom which also acted as the television- sounds great but in reality the screen is just too small to watch tv on from unless sitting right in front of it. The hotel has advised they are replacing the iMacs with wide... Read more

Stayed for one night using HHonors points. Checkin was quite busy on arrival however I was seen fairly quickly. It did feel like the receptionist was reading from a script rather than actually engaging with me, however I understand that given the numbers of people they must process that this can happen. I had mistakenly thought the room rate included breakfast but it didn't. This was an additional £21. Yes - TWENTY ONE POUNDS!!!!! Interestingly I was told that I could buy a voucher for £15 - i... This is a great hotel if you intend on seeing the sights of the City. It's around 10-15 minutes easy walk from Pimlico tube station (Victoria Line) and no more than 10-15 walk from the Houses of Parliament. The hotel is a modern design and the room I stayed in (1227) had an iMac and free WiFi. I think these must be standard throughout the hotel. We actually stayed here on New Year's Eve and found it to be in an ideal location, in walking distance to our allocated area which was on the north bank right opposite the London Eye. If you are going to NYE 2016, try and book your room as soon as possible to get the best price. It was obviously very busy with big groups, some of whom were taking part in the NYD Parade but the atmosphere was very jovial and the staff all very friendly and efficient.

The Doubletree on John Islip Street in Westminster, London is located in an uncannily quiet, secluded part of central London. It's ideal for tourists and for business travellers. And it's surprisingly reasonably priced. Like all the Doubletrees I've stayed at in the UK and USA it is a well-run establishment with a consistent, all-round very good service from every department in the hotel. It has a modern feel and offers fantastic views from the exercise facility on the 14th floor! I recommend it... Read more

The staff were key to having a pleasant stay here. They did a good job of handling my requests and needs. The lobby, restaurant, bar, hallways and room were quite nice. On par with places I stayed recently but not as expensive. It is about a 12 minute walk to the Westminster station--too far if you have luggage, but just fine otherwise. There aren't too many places to eat or socialize nearby. The hotel is not in the thick of a busy neighborhood which means it's quiet.

We have been staying at this hotel for many years, basically since it was built. Previously under different ownership (City Inn, Mint Hotel) this visit was our first under the new Doubletree by Hilton ownership. We´ve stayed at this hotel a few times, think it´s the fourth time over the last ten years, first time in 2004 (we think) when the hotel was pretty new and was City Inn Westminster, after that it was Mint, and now Doubletree. But the interior hasn´t changed much, only the lobby and the breakfast area. The hotel still works, a little bit of the beaten tourist track, but that suits us. A little wear and tear here and there, for instance a very tired Apple-machine in the room. As Apple-fans si... Read more

I stayed here for one night and the hotel facilities were great. The main bar was very nice, the room was very nice and modern; but the highlight was the gorgeous afternoon tea the room service delivered for me! Much better than some big names! Thanks

Just back from a weekend break in London with friends, we all enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a great location & all the staff were so friendly, helpful & attentive. The room size was good for London hotels, the beds very comfy, we all slept well. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit London.

Amazing hotel, staff were incredibly helpful, car parking facilities are excellent value for money. All the facilities are first class, breakfast was amazing, location is perfect for your typical tourist experience.

I stay at the Doubletree Westminster regularly on business. The customer service is invariably excellent. On this occasion, there was a mishap at breakfast whereby food was spelled on my suit, shirt and tie. The duty manager and his team had my clothes cleaned at the hotel's expense and they were returned to me, spotless, later that day. Now that's what I call service. Well done.

We stayed here for the London Marathon weekend and although the hotel was busy it was organised and the service was very good. We had a family room which was big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. We had dinner in the hotel one night and the breakfast was very good. The exec lounge was a bit small for the size of the hotel and the choice of breakfast was limited there so we ate breakfast in the main restaurant.

This hotel is only a few blocks from Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, and is right by the Thames- not far from the London Eye. Rooms are the usual "UK" size and the bathroom is small - but a great hotel with a nice Executive Lounge too

Nice place near tube and water taxi. Great rooms but underground parking at 30 pounds a night. Walking distance to Big Ben and the London eye. On site restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Taxis at front door.

This hotel is centrally located, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the city. We could walk to almost everything on our itinerary. Also, front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed here back in March/April for my fiancé's birthday weekend. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing with a wealth of choice. The only downside was the location. It was a 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station in either direction so we ended up getting lots of taxis at a large cost.

Great hotel, very convenient for sight seeing, tucked away in a quiet area. 5 minutes from Pimlico tube or 10 minutes to Westminster tube. Polite and helpful staff, stayed one night as we had a reservation for dinner at Roux at Parliament Sq., which was amazing.

This was our first trip to London. Doubletree was a known brand to us, so felt that it was a "safe" choice. Turned out great! Good sized rooms, nice breakfast and close to the tourist sites around Big Ben. The restaurant food was "eh", but otherwise the stay was very good!

My second time at this Hilton and not sure I'll be in a hurry to return. The room was a good size but showed signs of wear and tear, especially the walls which had been touched up a number of times. Breakfast was good but I was disappointed to find the hotel has no hot food, or indeed room service, after 11pm. The food to go setup in the lobby only had three sandwiches (one of which was £6.50) available. Staff were, however, friendly and helpful.

Assumed the wrong week for meeting in London and had to go on short notice. Hilton was close to meeting location and easy to get o so I went there - it was also available although expensive £215 per night. It ended up being worthwhile though as I had a lot of work to do when I arrived and there was a good desk with a light, good interned 72MBPS, with an option for greater speed. Also an apple PC which I didn't need EXCEPT that I could log into Spotify and play music while I worked - there are... Read more

We stayed for a long weekend on a trip to the theatre. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel was easy to get to from Euston and was a good base. We didn't eat in the hotel as there were some good local places for breakfast. My only criticism is the shower wasn't great. The temperature control was hopeless and it kept going cold. The first day we perhaps thought it was just a peak shower time. It did the same on day 2. If anyone from the hotel reads this you need to fix the shower thermo... Read more

We travel to London on a regular basis for weekend breaks and this is the first time we stayed at this Hotel and it is definitely on the re-visit list. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive. The rooms are well appointed and spacious/clean. The bar is well stocked if not like all Hotels expensive. It also benefits from an underground car park which is reasonable for the location but the spaces are a little tight. One thing you should be aware of when busy .... Breakfast on Sunday morning ... This was a great hotel for people visiting London. Is 10 min walk from tube, Great views from upper floors. Bar is nice and relaxing. My partner raved about their chocolate cookies available at reception for most of the holiday. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would visit here again. And would recommend it for couples, and those on business trips.

Rooms are spacious, clean, and generally good value for location - I stay here at least once a month (and thought I'd better commend a good hotel, to show I can give good reviews - my other reviews on this site have been negative!)

Just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. I was able to check us in online, the night before we were due to arrive and select the room we wanted. I was not to bothered about choosing a room, so selected the room that was automatically selected for us. However, as we arrived approx 20 minutes before the 3pm check-in time, the room was not ready. We were offered another room on the 5th floor instead of the 2nd floor, this was totally acceptable for us. The room was very pleasant, c... Read more

The location is excellent. The breakfast included in the executive room was really basic, nothing fancy. In addition, there were spots on the curtain and in the bathroom ceiling. Otherwise the hotel was great.
