booked a deluxe room for one night..... beautiful room, very upmarket. staff are very attentive, but quite aloof... I think it is more discreet service that they offer. took advantage of the car parking service and although we were checking out at 5.00 am the next morning, the car was waiting for us outside.

We visited the Bentley hotel on Saturday to celebrate friend's birthday and my mum visit. We started our day at the Le Kalon Spa where we had Hot Stone Massages and Karin Herzog Facials. We all thoroughly enjoyed these!!! Melissa and Charlotte were excellent! After that we had champagne afternoon tea in the restaurant. Food was delicious and service was great. We had amazing time and definitely will be there back. Thank you for looking after us!

We enjoyed this afternoon tea as a gift from a voucher we had been purchased. I was disappointed when booking as when I called the hotel, I was told to "go online and book" but found no instruction on the Voucher and very little guidance from the hotel itself. Luckily managed to book with the help of Groupon. The service here was great, we were asked often if we would like more tea or if it could be topped up for us and if everything was okay with the food. There was plenty of food. Scones were... I stayed at The Bentley with my wife for her birthday, and we had an amazing stay, and would recommend this hotel to everyone (and really hope I will be able to stay there again soon). The hotel and the room itself was very posh, with marble bathroom (with both shower and bath!), gold plating, carpets chandeliers, and a lot of other beautiful details which made us feel like royalty. Our room, even though it is the hotel's smallest (a "queen size bed room"), was also surprisingly generous in size... Read more

Very elegant. Nice selection of sandwiches (smoked salmon, egg mayo, Tina sweetcorn, coronation chicken). Good selection of teas. Plain and fruit scones with clotted cream and jam. Another 10 cakes as well. Would highly recommend

My husband and I went for champagne afternoon at The Bentley on a very wet June afternoon. I'd forgotten my voucher but after a quick call to the hotel and lastminute.com, and one email later, everything was sorted. The hotel itself was beautiful, with fabulous chandeliers. The staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was lovely. If I'm honest I've had better sandwiches elsewhere and the scones were quite small, but the cakes were very good, as was the champagne! Toilets were luxurious. ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and I would like to live here forever. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The room was luxurious and incredibly comfortable. The building is old and very nicely renovated keeping the charm of years gone by. The restaurant was lacking in atmosphere being too light and would have been more intimate with candles and subdued lighting. The food and restaurant staff were great though. There was a gym in the basement which was ok but very small. The B... Read more

My son bought this 'experience' as a birthday gift for me. The 'tea room' was very pretty, with pristine white table linen, lovely china and silver teapots. From the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive. We started off with a glass of champagne each, followed by our choice of tea, sandwiches, scones and cakes. The selection of the sandwiches and the cakes was very good. If anything a few too many cakes, my son and I did not manage to finish them! All in all, a lovely afternoon s... Read more

Super service, beautifully presented, delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes with plenty of tea. Groupon voucher deal was excellent value and I would highly recommend this offer. Staff made us feel special with a Happy Anniversary iced cake. Faultless indulgence!

We totally enjoyed our stay! Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would stay again the next time I am in London. Pretty close to the tube and amazing restaurants. Very close to the museums. We were given an upgrade upon checking in, just loved everything about the Bentley!

The hotel has a great location, near underground station & coffee shops. By looking at The photos, condition of the hotel is overrated! Honestly, although we were up graded to a sweet. Still the hotel needs renovation of the old furniture & interiors. One room with a noisy air conditioning. The other room had a problem. And we were surprised how the shower & sink had decay! It looked awful & scary to use. Above all, the staff treated us well.

We had a room booked for Saturday the 9th. This hotel was originally booked through ‚??Booking.com‚?? at a price of ¬£319 with a discount. One of the things that Booking.com does is display a checklist on screen, and you tick the boxes of requests to narrow down your choices. Oddly enough one of the choices was non-smoking, but we thought nothing more of it and we always look at reviews of hotels and take our time to decide where we could stay. A night at ‚??The Bentley‚?? was paid for by my gir... Read more

Perfect location, big rooms ( mine was really comfy), very good breakfast and kind personnel. Bathroom was very large with separate shower.Soap, shampoo, and the vanity set at very high level. Only thing I did not like for such a level of hotel are the spots on the carpets. But this seems to be, unfortunately, typical in UK. Something that needs to be taken care of.

We stayed here for one night ( July 2016) and was forced to move rooms due a mix up.Before you book this hotel you should know the following; This Hotel has no recorded or official AA star ratings. It has previously been owned by the Hilton Group and is no longer of even a three star standard. The Hotel rooms are covered in fabric which needs an entire clean. The Windows sealants are black and damp. The bathroom fixtures which look opulent in the photos are of chipped plastic. The shower heads ... Read more

Pleasant cool dining room, unobtrusive helpful staff. Smoked salmon open sandwiches were delicious and the pastry selection was good. However, to my mind the point of Afternoon Tea in a top London Hotel is that it is served in a traditional way. Tea bags were used - unbelievable- and desert forks instead of pastry/cake forks. Disappointing

Pleasant welcome to this beautiful hotel a few minutes walk from Gloucester Rd tube station. Glass of champagne served on arrival followed by a variety of teas and delicious food. A selection of finger sandwiches were followed by scones with clotted cream and jam and a cake stand with wonderful assortment of cakes. Felt it was a shame that the room had no windows though.

My wife booked a lovely meal on Sunday 7th August. The hotel was great, reminded us of sumptuous elegance from the late Twenties & early Thirties. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. We were welcomed with a glass of Champagne and shown to our table. The menu was simple but very good. My wife is Vegetarian but there was a choice for her that didn't include mushrooms (which she is intolerant to). The only thing was there was not many diners which was a real shame because the f... This place was beautiful. Not just beautiful- stunning! I had the amazing experience that because my ordinary room was not ready, I got upgraded to the Presidential Suite. I couldn't use the space but I was very grateful for the gesture. And then, there was an apology for the beautiful attic room that I got moved to. OMG, that was still pretty amazing! No, very amazing! I didn't get to use the Spa area as my basic rooms were just fantastic. The quality of the toiletries was also appreciated. ... Read more

We recently stayed at this hotel and the service was exceptional. Luxurious surroundings and great location, less than 5 min walk from the Underground subway. Amazing facilities, comfortable, neat and cosy rooms. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and quite engaging. My husband and I had such an amazing weekend at the Bentley, I cannot say enough! We absolutely loved it there .

Afternoon Tea at The Bentley Hotel was quite pleasant and the staff were very hospitable. The sandwiches were okay, but the cakes were delicious. I can't fault anything about it, but it wasn't outstanding. A nice relaxed environment to indulge in sweet treats and a slice of elegance.

Book 4 nights on a summer sizzle and still not worth the price. The room I had was not clean and the carpets were badly worn and stained. The 2 apples and 1 orange on arrival in the fruit bowl were very old and tired and not worth a look in for eating ! The sheets on my queen bed had a cig burn in them and the breakfast felt like there was limited offerings. The location was good but would shop around for better value in this area as this hotel was quite a disappointment.

Undoubtedly, this is one fine hotel in the center of the city. We stayed here for a night and it was a good decision that we stayed here. Their service is great, people are nice, food is very good and rooms are excellent. It's a perfect hotel. It's very spacious in terms of the location.

This was a Virgin Experience birthday gift from our son. Friendly staff but tea was very mediocre. The room lacked atmosphere with dreadful elevator music. Sandwich selection was uninspiring particularly vegetarian option and really don't expect tea bags from a 5* hotel. Uncleared tables next to us and to cap it all a blue bottle flying around which made one wonder what it was like in the kitchen. Have had much better elsewhere.

I was staying at the Bentley for three nights, and I booked it due to an overbooking at another hotel I was supposed to stay at. I had a quick look at the pictures and it seemed to be more than ok, really nice and opulent, very chic. As soon as I arrived everything turned into reality: the opulence I was supposed to be surrounded by, disappeared. The hotel is very old, it definitely needs to be renovated, the rooms are quite big, but DIRTY. There were spots on the chair, in the sofa and on the o... Read more

This hotel made you feel special the moment you walked in. We were checked in by a lady called Zhanna, what a sweetheart! She alone made this hotel worth coming back to, and amazingly, it was only her second day working at the hotel. The room was fantastic, we had suite 612, which was out of this world. We will definitely come back.

Loved every moment of this place, rooms were clean and food was great. The spa was very relaxing, we had the area to ourselves which was a nice touch. Only downside is that the staffs English is pretty poor, it was quite difficult to ask questions and get a relevant response. But that is me nit picking. Overall very relaxing stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing for a nice weekends shopping trip in London.

I paid £230 for a kingsize, overall for the price it was amazing, marble floor to ceiling bathroom and plush carpet wood paneled room. The staff were very helpful, simple and slck booking in. The room was brilliant, very clean and wonderfully laid out. Not a fan of having to pay for basic TV and WiFi (that lost 1 star) but I was only there one night so no great shakes. Leaving was just as slick as entry, all round a very good hotel highly recommend.

I'd like to copy Laura C.'s comments: "The bed was very comfortable and both the room and bathroom were very spacious. Nice, quiet location. I do believe WiFi should be free being that it's an pricey hotel (it costs $25 per day). When returning to London, I would like to try a different hotel." The bath tub with jets was very nice, and plenty of hot water. The coffee/tea tray service was very nice. Heating and A/C worked fine. In March I treated my mum to a champagne afternoon tea. The surroundings were so ornate, especially the entrance hall. We really enjoyed our afternoon tea - the pastry chef is very skilled. We had stayed at the Bentley in September and thought it was lovely. However the afternoon tea was just average. We had a voucher for champagne afternoon tea and were expecting something amazing from this 5 star hotel. I booked this place as a last minute surprise weekend away. The website makes it look stunning and we couldn't wait to get there. The excitement started to dissipate as soon as we stepped through the front door. The room wasn't ready and lots of behind the scenes negotiations won us an 'upgrade'. Well if this was the upgraded bedroom I'd hate to see what the original 'deluxe' room was like. Hotels should be one of three things: clean and functional, comfortable and homely or breathtaking. This is our fourth or fifth stay here. It is the ONLY hotel we use in London. Every stay is superb. The staff is excellent. The reservations from afar always go perfectly.
